When you import an Ai or PSD file into Ae and need the text to be editable like at 15:21, in Ae you can right click the layer with text then select "create", then "convert to editable text". I use this trick all the time and you don't need any plugins!
Learning about Overlord is a gamechanger for me, thank you for sharing your process! I work with other designers a lot where I am taking their PS or AI designs and then animating them, it can be tough to try and have that consistent vision and pipeline when the end product can be so different between video/still images, but this was all super helpful! Do you know if there is a similar tool to Overlord for Photoshop? The default import usually does a pretty good job, but isn't always great.
OMG, all these years it never even occured to me that there may be a loop expression! 🤯 I took it for granted that you either need to duplicate and time shift the comp a ton of times, or do it via 'interpret footage' option. Thanks Audrey!

Super cool 👌👌 Another good way to animate Colorama is in the Input Phase dropdown at the top, and animating the Phase Shift control.

If you set your ref to a guide layer in the text precomps - it won't appear in the parent comps!
