I was at this game tonight and it was sooooo amazing in that crowd!!! the vibes were electric!!! i spontaneously got tickets and drove a few hours but it was def worth it!! Go sharks!!!🦈
Hey Professor, It was nice to see the boys have a bit of a laugher tonight. Shake out some offense and inject some confidence into some of the guys. I think the powerplay struggled because we were missing our QB Grani. Granlund is the guy who settles the rest of the PP down and can usually distribute the puck under pressure. I have no idea what the future holds for Granlund but, I am a fan and will be pulling forhim so long as whatever team he is playing fore isn't playing the Sharks. I hope we resign him. He is such a great influence on this team and in the absence of Couture he is the defacto leader of the team as wherever he leads the guys seem willing to follow. Well, I am falling asleep at my keyboard so take care Professor and we will bask in the afterglow of this offensive explosion until the next game! Pete Clovis, CA
Professor great class! Interesting fact is: Notable 18 year olds through their first 12 games: Sidney Crosby - 3G 12A Connor McDavid - 5G 7A Connor Bedard - 7G 4A Macklin Celebrini - 6G 4A
It was good to see a tip like back in the good old days, but no one does it like pavelski. I also very much liked seeing Celebrini finally take a one timer (and Lo and behold it ended up in a goal!). We would have so many more points if the kids (Celebrini and smith) didn’t have to dust the puck off every time
Askarov, gritty goals, and team D kept them in the game. Both teams were sloppy until the 3rd. Then, the Celebrini Shot Heard Round the World.. Sharks future stars took over, and finally broke open on the power play. See you in March, LA Kings!
Kunin on the 2nd line looks like how Goodrow on the second line was supposed to look. Kunin has just been better than Goodrow at everything all season (offense, defense, pk, pp (barely), energy, toughness), I’m not bothered by Goodrow in the lineup but he really really needs to be on the 4th line Drew said Kostin wasn’t feeling well on the broadcast, so I’d assume that the reason for the scratch Ferraro involved in a major way on 2(!) goals, 3 if you count drawing a penalty by standing relatively near Rittich 😂
Yeah, Kunin has pretty much just been a better version of Goodrow. Nice to see after his bad season last year. Good to hear that about Kostin, it was really the only thing that made sense.
I was at this game and personally I thought that 3rd period came out of nowhere. The Sharks were not particularly good against the Kings until the third period, where the dominance was so clear. The Kings barely looked like an ECHL team in the third, and the Sharks embarrassed them. Macklin Celebrini really stood out during that game, obviously. Even before the third you could really see his confidence growing. Smith and Liljegren also looked awesome. But the Kings really outplayed the Sharks in the first two periods. I also found the Liljegren goal interesting, as it was clearly offside, but they challenged for GOALIE INTERFERENCE? Idk just interesting.
EVERYONE GET IN HERE!!! Macklin is here
Thanks again, Professor!

You got to see a good one!
Was looking forward to this once the game finished. Keep up the great content, Professor. Fan from Melbourne, Australia

To be fair, the power play wasn’t looking particularly good with Granlund either haha
🎉🎉❤ YES THEY ARE GETTING BETTER!! YAY😊😊!!!

Man Professor, I knew the Sharks would play big for Askarov but holy crap!
I joked about the Sharks not able to get a 2 goal lead and all of a sudden they win 7-2.
You should joke more then haha
So, obviously Coach W watched your last video and said "Let's give Granlund the night off, the Professor is right..."
I see no other reason why he wouldn’t play

I don’t think the Sharks were too bad in the first, but yeah the second was very rough.
