Yeah, we figured for this one we would definitely need to let people know it's a harder build and the rating system worked out perfect.

Thank you! We really appreciate feedback because it gives us a great idea of the direction we should go or possible things we're leaving out. Funny how in our first videos we wouldn't even list reps or sets until someone gave us the heads up and then we went "oh yeah, that'd probably be helpful." ;)

Yes, I totally like this one, and it is something I could see myself doing, especially having access to all the tools already, good way to make a strongman log over paying out the ass for one, not to mention it's always cooler to say you built it yourself. Now some kind of DIY Atlas Stone would be awesome!

    Hi Duke!
    Awesome video thanks !
I was wondering if you can show, how to make a -buff dude press log- from a bigger tree trunk, so that it could be used for bench press or squats or bicep curls ?
Is it needed or better to install pipes ? Could it be easier to "curve" the wood?
As you can understand I am far from familiar with this ! :)
    Thanks in advance !

Haha, I lived in RURAL eastern oregon on over 20,000 acres during part of my teens. For fun, I would go up to the forest land and fall dead pondorosa snags. keep in mind this is in the winter so snow has closed off acess for miles around, not to mention I was one of 5 or so people within say 10 miles. Im talking about Ironside mtn. at ironside OR. we owned the mtn, all the forest land was behind it. NOBODY ANYWHERE!
Would you believe that one day a ranger came to school & pulled me out of class because of those trees! someone over the internet speculated on a comment I made regarding firewood gathering on our property. So this ranger had a folder full of papers, a chevy tahoe and somewhat of an attitude. I'll admit now that I had no idea that falling dead snags was against the law. so he questioned me as we rode towards home, the whole time I learned how illegal cutting a rotton 30 ' tall fraction of a tree is. So as we drive up to the main house I explain to him that we won't make it up there in his chevy. He disregards my insight and we make it about a third of a mile past the houses, (the driveway from the highway goes 4 or 5 miles maybe more I never measured all the way through the property to forest land with the houses/buildings along the way. the larger half being from home up to forest ground) still in the alfalfa fields at the foot of the mtn before the snows too deep.
So he never saw the trees, in person or via photo. and do you know that he tried to fine me almost $10,000! I ended up paying almost $2000 before it was all over and no one ever saw the snags. as soon as the snow melted what I hadn't toted down the mtn, (might as well right?) would be hauled off by the firewood guys. if its on the ground its fair game, I helped them substantially lol, and they got rid of the evidence quickly lol.
live & learn. I learned that even If you are 100 miles from anything, people will know about it..
