So glad I was a teenage boy growing up in the 70s! The music, undeniably was/is the best. Too hard to grow up in this generation, I wouldn’t want to. The talent 40 years ago was real and raw. Kids, when your parents talk about music they listened to in their day, don’t laugh like I did, now I know what they were talking about. It will come full circle for most of us

ABBA "Fernando" & "Winner takes All" are my favorites from ABBA! As usual, your reactions are the best --so
    genuine, pure & honest!!
You have it right that telling the younger generation about this music is the greatest because most of the younger folks
come on board & become fans!
That is why music lives on & gives us hope for all the future generations!
It means that we never lose our ability to.listen with our hearts & souls! I( If it's not soulful, it's not music!!) It is obvious that
music is one of God's many gifts!

One of the most unmistakably Iconic songs ever made. Those first few piano chords hit and you KNOW what it is ... and you can't stop listening. Here we sit, 43 years and two generations after it's release and the song is as pure and "new" as it ever was.

Thank you for appreciating ABBA. I saw them in Melbourne Australia, when I was 13 years old. I also came within a few metres of them at the Town Hall when they waved to thousands of fans. ABBA were on the radio waves and TV every day in Australia, in the late 1970s. I am going to London in October to see the ABBA Voyage concert. I am a 59 year old school principal, and I still love ABBA. How lucky am I... to have lived in their time.

Yes! Everyone needs more ABBA in their lives!
They were 2 couples and wrote the catchiest 3 minute pop songs ever created. At the beginning of their success they were about love but then they started to split up so they then wrote songs about heartache and divorce. By the time the ban ended they were doing songs about hiding from the East German police during the Cold War all with a disco beat.
I really hope you do more of ABBA!

Started listening to reactions earlier this week and found you with one of my favorite groups ever, ABBA. One of their best songs! And yes, as many many others will say, ABBA could play the soundtrack of my life, ha ha. We did dance parties to the song and everybody had a blast. But I love your honest emotion and enjoyment of these songs that meant so much to my generation. My favorites from ABBA: Fernando, Waterloo, SOS, Name of the Game& Winner takes it All. If you react to another Abba song James please consider reacting to "The way Old Friends Do" live at Wembley Arena in London, it's amazing. This live version turned out so good that they decided to put it on their next album, INSTEAD of recording it in the studio.

What made ABBA legends was there music arrangements with the music and their voices. The band almost broke up recording this song Dancing Queen because the piano player and leader of this band seen on this video wanted to get everything just right and made the ladies record their parts and the chorus parts over and over again. The chords and orchestration of this song are also the most respected arrangements in the history of pop music. That's a fact. No other pop song gets near this combination of sounds ever. That's talent.
