I really would of like to see a full range of volume 0-34 when testing the internal amplifier. At what volume does the amplifier start to clip? I know the kdc-x304 starts to clips around volume 26, does the x704 do the same?🤔
Does this have the same annoying feature when playing from USB it either shows the album and then not the title of the track or it will show the track and not the album. Its not good having to manually switch from one to the other. my previous JVC unit you pressed for next album it would display the Name then revert to scrolling trough track details.
Does it ramp up volume when first powered on? Does the volume knob get pressed accidently and enter menu system?

So I have a quick question and hopefully someone can get back to me about it...I have the xdm17bt car dual radio and I am wondering if I bought a better radio would it make a difference to the sound of music and stuff,I do have afternarket inside speakers wich are75 watts to each speaker and then I have a amplifier along with 2 12 inch subwoofers wich maxes out at 1000 watts

Why did TV come on and not auxiliary? How do I get rid tv mode and how do I set it side to side it’s only playing one side. I know I hit a button wrong on this head unit.
How do you add more Treble? Sorry, I'm an old dude to many features to understand I think I hit the wrong EQ button. also, what's the setting is it to get the loudest sound out of this system? I just really want the loudness Treble,Bass.and mid's please help thank you
You will need to do a custom EQ and add on the treble end starting at 2.0KHz. Most Treble controls are at 10KHz.
Could someone help me with TERRIBLE fm reception.? I did not hook the blue Ant. Wire up- no where to hook.... but terrible reception.

Can you turn off the head unit’s internal amplifier, To minimize noise when using preamps only?
No it's not possible but since it is under no load there is minimal added distortion.
When is the review for the Kenwood DMX 9707S coming? I'm looking at buying it but not sure. Also have the Kicker Dual Comp R sub 12" with ported enclosure. Wanted to know if that stereo and the Kenwood KAC 9106D amp would be a good setup or should I be looking for a different Amp?
Yes for the Kenwood mono D amp. Solid no for Kicker. The labor of installing it all. Get something better. I would have been okay with Kickers at 15-16 yrs old. They are not for performance.

What's the difference between the kmm 708 and the kdc 708
The KMM does not play CD's, it is digital only. The KDC plays CD's. Other than one playing CD's and one not, they are the same unit.
Do you have to use Alexa, or can you set the voice assistant to Google Assistant or Siri?
It's Alexa, not Google Assistant. Siri can be used via bluetooth with your iPhone still

Hey google assistant. Stop listening. I don't need or want your help. It overrides my settings more often than not. The Kenwood decks automatically answer any phone call. You don't get a choice. But very effortless/ seamless integration with your sound. I can grab my phone at a stoplight and use recent call logs to dial.
Do you have an explanation video for the testing part? I have no idea whether those are good or bad numbers ahaha
They are just confirming that the head unit performs as per it's claimed specs. Kenwood Excelon is a quality product with excellent sound quality that you won't be disappointed in.
Lol well it's rated at 14W RMS, which is good, but we got more power which is better. Distortion is basically unwanted noise that occurs when a stereo is being driven harder than it is made for, 1% is totally fine.
@@CoreyReynolds24 I am disappointed with how deep I need to go to change crossover settings. While driving. I used to fine tune. Not w the Excelon decks. Demanding ppl like me change the settings every song. It sounds good but the menu needs split second adjust. If you are a competitive person this deck not enough control over everything.
A regular driver would tune it and just leave it. That probably sounds good with factory speakers.
Kenwood: make it like the KDC 4028. With aux input and more power. Super easy to run lots of power and adjust very fast. Make the section of all I want to adjust split. Second.
P.S. Flac songs burned onto a cd sound so good. All you millennial kids are missing out.
@@AF_1892 You need a DSP with a remote control knob like the Mosconi. If you're that picky, and you don't have a DSP, then you're missing out!

Are there any new double din receivers that does screen mirroring?
Screen mirroring is dead, Google killed it in Android 9. Use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay instead. In this video from 2019, Kenwood shows it working with an old-ass Samsung phone. Doesn't work with new phones. ua-cam.com/video/ao6tnSXy_q4/v-deo.html

I told they guy I wanted a simple great sounding unit. I didn't want a big fancy screen. Man, the excelon knocked my socks off. The hd stereo, daaammmnnn
Real sound people care about sound and control. That stupid double din screen sucks. I hate them. Bam like 4 clicks of a physical button I can adjust a zillion settings. Does not require your eyes. Try that with the stupid double din deck playing Bluetooth. It's awful. I have to test out new rent cars for work. Hate them.

No. The road/engine noise is a lot to overcome. My 03 Ford Lightning is a little quieter after insulating cab w Dynamat©. Old Kenwood deck still works. I got a deck like this to celebrate no more stolen gear. The adapter the aux input jack got messed up. My mono bass amp has been shocked by capacitor wires. I resoldered it and know circuits. The head unit similar to this. I can only get the volume up to level 6 very disturbing to everyone. The mid Rockford Fosgate amp is stroking out. The Rockford subs (just 10's) I blew those. Got the next punch series. I was spoiled with just a 15' Rockford sub. Ported box in a hatchback. A single cab pickup much limits you. My first rig bass amp was pioneer and the deck was too. Physics PhD from college taught me so much. He built the ported box to specs. Makes a difference. He managed to build a box for his 15' single cab. Once you go 15 you can't go back.

Lol I run mine under 30, cleaner signal, turn up the gain on your amp, this should never be an issue, unless you aren’t running any amps and this is your only source.
I thought it’s rated at 22 watts RMS but you displayed rated 14 watts RMS??

@@Qualitymobilevideo , I could clearly see the results you got but the slide you showed the rated watts were 14 and results were 19.8. The spec sheet for the HU says 22 watts rms x 4. I was wondering where you got the 14 watts rated because I haven’t seen that spec before.

No other company than kenwood nowadays has a head unit I would buy , no super tuner , no Sony explod ,
Also whos tired of not have cool older head units like the kenwood excelon with a flip down screen , and the pioneer with the dolphins we need screens again

Ok this is probably gonna be another funny question that you get all the time lol, but please I need some real professional help on this one. I went with the Smart 3 amp, it's got an RMS rating of 3,000w RMS @ 1ohm .... 3,000w RMS @ 2ohm ... 2,000w RMS @ 4ohm ... And I got the Skar ZVX 15" and it's rated at 1,500w RMS ... So being you have the knowledge to understand I made a little mistake here, if I wanted things to be simple, but there is a way to load this to make it work.? I'm getting bad info from people who are the ""just send it"" type of people. But I prefer to be safe, and I want to load it correctly so I don't burn anything up.? Can you go teacher mode for a minute with me to explain how I can do this?
As long as you use your clip light it won't hurt the sub just it to not clip and lpf all the way down to the left and just use your gain ..set your eq flat and bassboost off and louds off on headunit you can turn the headunit up to 31 with out the headunit clipping if you have this headunit or the x304 then turn up your gain on the amp till it's not clipping using a -10 .40hz db test tone or a -5 db 40 hz test tone. turn it up till the amp clips then back it down till it stops and it should be good to go ...just watch the clip monitor and adjust to your music with the sub level on head unit to stop the clipping from up front
