So good to see somebody..A. SHIFTING, and B. Not shifting like you're killing snakes! ( like some young drivers I've helped train.) You guys take care. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Good morning ❤❤ thank you for taking us on your run .. Yep understand the hill gears thing You only get one chance at it .. rather be a safe than get it sooo wrong… Rest up and we will see you on the next haul ❤❤❤❤❤🫶😇
Jax, I dig your scene, catch your drift, I know where you’re coming from. I drove for the teamsters in my younger years. I drove every type of truck there was. Got me through college and became CEO of a manufacturing company. Got a degree in music. Did that professionally. The list goes on. We have a lot in common. 🙏‼️🥴
Such a fun video Jax! Holton is a cute funny young man! I love the Bitterroot Valley, Chief Joseph Ranch was one of my favorite places until they started filming “Yellowstone” there. I got my first teacup poodle in Hamilton from a gal that worked there at the Cenex. I’m so glad you’re back to cattle hauling, it definitely takes a special breed of person!! I get to see a lot of the places my husband and I hauled together way back in the day! Keep on truckin’ young man. God speed!! ❤️🙏
Thanks for keeping it real Jax, stay safe out there.🤠🐄🐮 Thanks for taking this retired skateboard driver with you .... Kinda keeps the road rash down, sadly, I do miss sitting there, looking like that!
Drop a couple extra gears on homestake up and down, and all will be well. Amazes me how much of a hurry people get in on that hill. Hoods open, trailers on fire, etc....
"I appreciffffllfflff... " 😂😂 go get some sleep mate 😂😂 Holton seems like an awesome guy.. no surprises there, being Billy jacks kid 👍🏻👍🏻 I did spot the exterior cup holder and wondered what it was for.. now we all know 😂 Love your office mate, quite the view too!! Best thing about truckin... that office window 🤩🤩
I love your videos man ! Happy to see the tires rolling !!!! The legend of billy jack is my hands down favorite steady at the wheel 😆🤣 i was laughing so hard at that one !!!!
Ladies and gents we got a new pronounced Jax-ism for the podcast: long-ge-tivity 😅👏. Your brother may have a field day with that one Jax 😊 Usually said "lon-gevity" but youre always a classic good friend and we love it
When I was trucking I ran for a meat company out of Indiana we'd go to South Dakota to get processed hams. We had 3 old Walmart cabovers. On the way back home base one of my buddies that was in one of the cabovers heard that he had hit something but couldn't see anything in the dark but when finally made it to the shop. There was a owl dead up in the vent hole beside the radiator grill
I once had a bat plastered to my Peterbilt grill . He had a 8 to 3:10 10" wing span , stayed there for 2 weeks before it finally fell off . I used to tell people that was a testament as to how fast that truck was , fast enough to plaster a bat !
That looks like an old Central Oregon Truck Company (COTC) T600 KW. They started getting those about the time I decided to move on to better things in life.
Great video Jackson !!! My friends I was looking for used to live in Stevensville Montana...love to see your smiles and enthusiasm for your work and life...till the next video...
Up on the lighted sign on my 53' Barrett cow pot is "Billy Jack" back years ago I used to wear a big black hat, and they all started calling me Billy Jack. I had one place that I home for that I had to back 3/4 of a mile around a curvy driveway to get to the chute.
Great video Jax, you are definitely right about coming down a mountain. You do it your way so you can do it again. I have been around a few hotdogs that fly and depend way to much on Jake brakes. The old IH tri axle dump that I drive doesn't have a Jake. So you really have to be careful.
If you can't do a trip from MN to CA ,start/stop/shift/0 idle time without touching clutch "You Ain't a Trucker." starters are cheap compared to fuel, but never burnt a starter, granny, granny gear your friend. Enjoy your channel, & NASCAR trip.
I was issued an 89 International cab over for a bit when I drove for ADM trucking. Lucky I only had to drive it for a very short time before they gave me a brand new 95 Mack day cab. My first truck for them was an 88 International day cab. Had that one for a couple of years and it because a city truck when they took it from me and gave me a 93 Mack to drive team
Hey I’ve been to stevensville! I work at a ammunition shop and we buy loading and priming machines from a shop there in stevensville called alpha loading systems. Bitteroot tool and machine. Great great people work there. Awesome stuff they make there. Best in the business!
lol , coo , watched the injector fix vid with Joe , then watching this vid you can hear the fail injector when you were climbing the hill . I think, lol
Nice video I saw you parked at super one early in the morning driving past with my semi but I figured you’re still sleeping so I didn’t wanna bother you hopefully I get to catch up with you someday
Jax, what's with the 'trim plate' surrounding the right wiper arm that is obviously missing on your 'fuel saving' International cab-over wagon (oh the memories of my Cab-Over Peterwagon days for two different companies), just wonderin?
Man, that brought back old memories. When I was in high school I would load cattle at the sale barn every Saturday. And that Montana scenery, it don’t get no better than that. “Keep on truckin”
Great video! CRACKED me up out loud with the DOT guy in the parking lot! Great real stuff! I have a question, On Tuna's truck he had a Tag axel, When do you drop them on the ground? Is it by weight or safety ?
I saw the tag axles up in the parking lot but when y'all were going down the highway I saw him down and that makes perfect sense to me thanks for the reply!
Question: Back in the day I worked for the USDA and spent a lot of time at sale barns. I noticed then and noticed now some of your vids that the roll up doors on Wilson trailers are often missing the top 2 or so slats on those doors. Is that as common as it seems and why is it that those 2 or 3 slats get broken so often?
If a tandem spread axle can haul the same weight as the triaxle, why not use a tandem and save on tires? I’m in Canada and don’t know much about spreads.
Man I’ve gotta ask a weird question. When you get your haircut what kinda style do you tell them your going for? I only ask because I also have long hair and need a haircut ASAP 😮
What’s the name of the podcast? Jax do all 18wheeler have that much play in the steering? Ur constantly moving that wheel. Can u tighten it up? Y’all need to do more videos together. He’s hilarious brother. Y’all make a great duo. Monthly videos suck Jax. Make more man.
Unfortunately making a livin came ahead of makin vids the last 3 weeks. Takes a lot of time and i just couldn’t spare any. There’s no play in the system. everything is tight. This is the nature of a cabover truck due to the added linkage they require extra u joints require more movement. Appreciate you tuning in. Podcast is “steady at the wheel.”
You can come off a mountain too slow all your life. You only come down too fast once.
Wise words !
That’s a no shi- ter
Nice watching someone that's real and not ate up with blowing black smoke bigger turbos and not worried about a dirty truck!
What is that ? " Is it poo " No it is bull hauler mascara 😂
As always brother, thank you for another ride along.
At 22:37, the red KW. That’s my truck 😂
I recognized it immediately from TikTok 😂👍
Awesome video👍👍👍👍

Great video! CRACKED me up out loud with the DOT guy in the parking lot! Great real stuff! I have a question, On Tuna's truck he had a Tag axel, When do you drop them on the ground? Is it by weight or safety ?
Weight. Allows him to haul 9k more lbs
I saw the tag axles up in the parking lot but when y'all were going down the highway I saw him down and that makes perfect sense to me thanks for the reply!

You can go down a mountain to slow many times you will only go down it fast once. 👍🏼
If a tandem spread axle can haul the same weight as the triaxle, why not use a tandem and save on tires? I’m in Canada and don’t know much about spreads.
They can’t haul as much as a tri. You get 40k on a spread. 43.5k on a triple
You may be slow but if you had to stop you can
Good to see you posting again by the way when are you posting another podcast with your brother on utube looking forward to that 😊
Won’t have anything on UA-cam for a while yet, it hoping for some audio versions again soon.
Was that Thin Air Diesel in that Red KW at the fuel stop?
Yessir
I passed you heading west just outside of north Platt Nebraska I was heading east black kenworth hauling a wind mill blade
Man I’ve gotta ask a weird question. When you get your haircut what kinda style do you tell them your going for? I only ask because I also have long hair and need a haircut ASAP 😮
Great video. Do you plan to drive the NASCAR rigs again in the future.
Not sure if I’ll be able to carve out the time. Too early to know.

Yea, just learning. Who’s Jax? Also, how long can u sit still when loaded.

You'll only go too fast down the hill once
There’s the truth!
