No doubt this is testimony for the rifle, ammunition, and student marksmanship. For best results at any distance/ target the Blackhills Mk262 round is boss. Now, in US Service Rifle Competition this round is ideal for 200 and 300 yard stages for the non-handloarder. One more thing, add a free float rail to M4 or M16A4 for assured sub MOA even from hard hold.
Pretty impressive. Do you plan on testing AAC's new 77gr load, the one with their in-house bullet? It'd be interesting to see how that compares, since it's about half the price.
@Buffman - R.A.N.G.E. Hopefully it's loaded hot enough. Based on your tests, their loads can't even hit box velocity, and their box velocities seem lower than other loads of the same grain.
Honestly I believe the ammunition is extremely overrated when it comes to terminal ballistics. It's definitely a top 5 or arguably top 3 contender. I personally believe a heavy, bonded softpoint from 62 - 75g gives a much better overall result across practically all barrel lengths and twists. I've been able to get sub moa with Speers 62g & 75g with ease and the results I've personally seen on coyotes, large feral hogs & whitetail deer here on the ranch have been phenomenal when directly compared to sierras 77g offering.
