Another episode of Bodybuilding Simplified is here! Today we will talk about how to get giantic calves! I will tell you exactly which exercises you should do, for the best results. Training calves is a lot different than training any other body part. Which means that there are not really any types of exercises that we could divide this into, no matter what exercise you will end up doing, it will always be some kind of calf raise variation. The exercises that you can choose from are for example: The standing calf raise, seated calf raise, machine calf raise, or you can even hit calves on the leg press, or on the smith machine. We will also go over the correct calf raise technique, the rest periods between the sets, and also where to put your calve exercises into your workout. And lastly, we will talk about the benefits of walking! We will also go over the number of workouts per week, number of sets per week, and all the rep ranges like 5-8, 8-12, 12-15, 20-25/30.

I would like to add from personal experience when I was a little overweight in high school I was very into volleyball even though I was horrendous in it, I used to practice jumping a lot for spiking and over time (in a few months there were results and it went on for about a year and a half) it grew my calves like crazy and even 5 years later before starting to workout oddly enough they remained big compared to my proportions. These days the only calves workout I engage in is on a machine 4 sets a week and I cant wait to implement these tips in the gym.☺

A year ago, my calves muscles were weak, and I was ashamed of them in the summer, especially since I am an athlete and do a lot of running, walking, and cycling... Then a friend who plays soccer advised me. The calves do thousands of reps every day, so it is useless to concentrate on high weights ... The most important thing is to do a lot of reps. So I started by doing 20 rep x 4 sets , standing calf raises With an empty bar then when I reached 40 x 4 , I added 5 kilo ...
You will not imagine how the calves are the fastest growing muscle, and in a month you will see a huge difference and your friends will notice it. ... do it twice a week and if you are sore once is enough

@melik8585 You don't understand the concept at all. People with shorter calves are generally better at running because they have a longer Achilles tendon. Growing your calves won't change the size of your tendon, so it can only help.
