Tua is short, injury prone, got a weak arm, not mobile, if his 1st read isn't there he struggles, and he hasn't beaten good teams. I wouldn't pay him big money.

This shouldn’t be a question. People will bypass the obvious just to go with the narrative. There are about 5-8 elite QB’s in the league. 32 teams in the NFL. Of course you pay him. If not, someone else will.

You can teach a pro QB to take a 2 step drop and throw to a their first read who runs a 4.3 and gets him 15 yds of YAC per catch
If I’m Grier the next time I have a meeting with Tua this is how it should go: “listen, we like you and we want you here long term, but not at the price you want. Our final offer is 4 years at 180M or 45M per year with 110M guaranteed. Your injury history and the talent we have had to bring in around you impacts this price. We want to contend long term and to be able to do that we need to keep these key pieces around you, that is going to be much more complicated with you taking up 20+% of the cap. If you decide that you’re not signing this deal then we will resume negotiations after the season and you can play on your 5th year option. If you should choose to sit out the season that is fine as well as you will not receive any of the money that you would make this year. We will start Skyler or Mike, likely have a horrible year and get a top 10 draft pick and if you should choose to hold out we may look to trade you and see what we can get for you and see where we fall in the draft and who develops in college this year. Let Tua play on the 5th year option. Then put the non exclusive franchise tag on him next year at about $35M. If nobody makes him an offer then we can keep him at that price and if they do then let him leave and get 2 first round draft picks.

Also judging by Tuas record against above .500 teams and in sub 45 degree weather he’s probably not going to win any playoff games any time soon because it tends to be colder when the playoffs happen and all the teams are above .500. These narratives are ridiculous. Tua missed only one game his rookie year, but wasn’t the starter to start the season. He played every game last year. Has missed 4 less games that Burrow due to injury, but everyone blows his injuries out of proportion compared to Burrow, 🤦🏻♂️
It’s because Tua is small and a constant injury risk. Remember when everyone thought his career might be over because he got concussed multiple times in one season? He also had to take jujitsu lessons to learn how to fall because he gets rag dolled because of his size.

@@LKS-M9323 the reason Tua gets the label is because he’s undersized for the position and isn’t an extreme athlete so he can’t escape faster defenders and gets rag dolled by dude who are close to 100 lbs heavier than him. Burrow gets plenty of criticism for getting hurt and so has Lamar but the difference with them is Lamar is a freak athlete who’s hard to tackle in the open field and Burrow made a SB with the worst offensive line in the league.

If guys have been injured more and missed more time due to injury and they aren't labeled injury prone you can't label a guy who is less hurt and more available injury prone or a risk. You either put them all together or you put none of them into the catagory. All them gymnastics you did to try to seperate them mean absolutely nothing. He's more available and less injured. There's no way to argue around it unless you say he's held to a different standard. Which is what's going on but people won't acknowledge

Again both Lamar and Burrow are criticized for being injury prone. But Tua again since you don’t understand is considered a constant injury risk because his size 🤦🏽♂️ Tua’s injuries are directly related to being thrown into the ground by larger defenders. Burrows first injury the acl could happen to anyone and his wrist injury is weird I’ll give you that but we’ll see what happens. Tua has been injured in 3 out of 4 seasons and is likely to get hurt again because he’s small and can’t get away from quicker defenders it’s not mental gymnastics to come to that conclusion it’s common sense
When will you clowns understand the 55 million isn't the sticking point? If Tua would accept the Trevor Lawrence contract the Dolphins would gift wrap that contract and give it to Tua right now smiling. The Dolphins have no problem making the Avg Annual salary 58-60 mil if they want. The issue is guaranteed money. That's clearly the sticking point with the injury history.

Can anyone here tell me how many games burrow has missed, Herbert, Lamar. I’m curious how tua is “injury prone”
Can’t tell you how many each have missed total but Herbert missed 4 games this year and it’s the 1st time it’s happened in his career. Tua has played in 53 career regular season games and Burrow has played in 52, but Burrow has played in 6 more playoff games. So Tua has played the least amount of total games in his career between those 3.
And that makes him “injury prone?” Cause he plays maybe 5 games less than all them? Emphasis on maybe
@@trashastrash9722 no it’s the fact that it’s every single year there’s an injury. This past season was Tua’s first injury free season since high school. That’s a long time. If you want total number of games played I’ll give you that. Herbert has 62, Lamar has 86, Burrow has 52 and Tua has 53. Herbert has been injured to where he missed time once in 4 seasons, Lamar has had it 2x in 6 seasons and Burrow has had it 2x in 4 seasons. Tua has had it 3x in 4 seasons. Yes, Tua is injury prone. Burrow is close to having that title too but when Burrow is healthy he is elite and is a top 5 QB in the league.

Then he got a concussion in his 2nd season as well as in his 3rd season. He’s been injured in 3/4 seasons he’s played in the nfl. This is literally the first season he has been fully healthy since he was in high school.

He did that then they switched the narrative to its the surrounding cast and he's a system QB as If he hasn't been in 5 different system all while producing a winning record.
