I have seen this place with my own eyes. I had gone down to touch the water in the lake, through the tea gardens. Believe me, i have not seen such beauty even in Switzerland or New Zealand. Kerala is truly God's own country. Kerala has beautiful beaches, mesmerizing waterfalls, thick jungles, varied wildlife, peaceful backwaters, delicious food, calming ayurvedic spas, majestic temples, captivating Mohiniyattam and Kathakali dance forms, friendly people. It's simply Heaven on Earth.

I can't believe in this day and age people are so dumb. how would you expect to see the ecology of Kerala in Switzerland or New Zealand are any of them tropical countries to have such vegetation. It's so stupid to even compare these places. And if you want to see similar or more beautiful places than Kerala then should visit Sri Lanka instead of New Zealand and Switzerland. And btw in my view i do consider Switzerland as far more beautiful than Kerala is and it also reflects in no of tourist. Though indeed Kerala has its own beauty but it's very subjective to one's preference.

@@legit-being You are only proving that you are stupid by contradicting yourself. On one hand you say how can i compare Kerala and Switzerland and then you go on to say that in your view Switzerland is more beautiful than Kerala.
Yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Same goes for hatred and jealousy too.

I'm 60 years old and have spent 53 years in the US. I visited India numerous times and have been to Bombay, Delhi, Agra and many of the big cities in the North, but the nicest and most beautiful places in India remain in Kerala. Natural scenery, beautiful landscapes, agriculture, plantations, palm trees, beaches, farms, wildlife sanctuaries, ancient temples, less pollution, waterways, etc. The differences are night and day.

@@harishkiran3663 Ignorant comment. Many Malayalis live in the US, EU, or the ME. This fusion of money has made Kerala the most prosperous per capita. The educated poor of Kerala that are unable to go abroad have given up on capitalism because it doesn't work for them. The poor exist more in the North, yet their ignorance and lack of voice in the Indian political system leaves them silent. Go to Kerala and you will see more private mansions, private plantations and foreign cars than anywhere else in India, so they can't be all communists. I've lived in the US almost all my life, surely I'm not a communist. If you live in Delhi, you are sure to get bronchitis from air pollution by your teenage years. These are irrefutable facts that you can google yourself.

    Dear Moazzam,
You can find such types of tea gardens spread on slopery land hundred kms from Pathankot city at cities near Dharamsala, Palmpur in Himachal Parkash, earlier part of Panjab India. Tea plantation requires lot of rain waters on slopery land without stagnation of water. I have been to Ootty & had a free cup of tea served at tea factory near highest place Doda Vatta of Nilgiri Hills, Tamil Nadu, made purchases of various types of tea like green, black tea for domestic consumption. I plan to visit a few places in south India which I left in my previous visit. Thanks.

Many international tourists (specially Arabs) love to come to Kerala during Monsoon to see the amazing view of sheets of rainfall over all these greenery. I personally drive through western ghats (from Mangalore to Goa) during monsoons every year. The joy and natural beauty is unparalleled and second to none in the whole world.

ARABS ?.. They may be like 1 percent of tourists here.
And most of them come for ayurvedic treatment amd stay for 2 week packages
They rarely travel around Kerala, exploring places.
I have seen only one Arab family in real life even after traveling extensively in my home state .
