Man, the 4960 makes the Hesston look good! It's pretty cool to see those "oldies" working hard together.
It is nice watching a channel work no adverts every 2 mins 👍
10th generation dairy man is a good channel!
I run a 8590 case baler it's the same baler I think love my 4x4 I need some things done to her as I think all of them always need something but I learn from this channel an love it keep it just the way you have it
Been watching you for years now! Love your channel. Don't change a thing please
Mike Mitchell you tuber is as honest as they come on any piece of equipment handed to him, including a Case/IH 620 delivered when trouble came about during planting... not shy at all with pros and cons.... you have a great channel too...
Hi Wesley , the check 18 you was talking about in this video relates to an incorrect start up procedure with the control box usually because it has had the power cut to the monitor (ie turns off with the ignition ?). If you let the Baler start the control box when the PTO is started that normally cures it , but nothing to worry about anyway. Gary , Big Bale Services Ltd , UK
I have to agree with you Wes, I only wath your farming channel thse days cos what you see is whot you get. No airs and graces, keep it up please.
Thanks for showing the Heston bailer long time fan enjoy Your channel
Love watching this behind the 49. Captivating addictive sound.
Years watching you wes you and ur family are apart of my week now love seeing ur vids best wishs from cork in ireland
You keep it real, you keep it gritty, you do you and that’s what some of us want to see, I can’t tell you how many farm channels I’ve dumped recently because of the product pushing.
An old lumberman who owned a sawmill and trucking his product, when driving always said STOP A MINUTE LOOSE AN HOUR
because it's never just one minute and always becomes an hour or more =p
Please stay the way you are your the one of the few that is still raw and that’s what we want so I say thank you
Wes we love you because you are like the real farmers who don't get a darn about bullshit.
I’m exactly the same concerning ad breaks in the videos. It’s got worse lately. Keep up the great work pal. 👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸

Wesley, as far as I can see, you are the only youtuber that is doing it right. You're not selling your channel to the big corporations. I personally can't stand Millennial farmer. Many people love him, but I can't even get through one of his videos without shutting it off.
H Turbo that’s how I am with welker farns
I'm the same with Welker and Millennial. I honestly believe the Welker family are actually arsehole and stuck up a bit. Ive never met the people in person, but they come off as they would be. Millennial, he seems to in it for the goods. Nothing more besides trying to be funny. How Farms Work, its getting pretty bad with them too.
Amen
Great content. Real life family farm. Hello from saskatchewan canada
Nice to see the “old girls “ working Wes keep on keeping on
It good to see Tim back in the videos.
Wes you may not have the most subscribers but you have the most dedicated subscribers
Exactly Wesley, best farming channel there is ,raw ,says it like it is,great content always keeping it real.
As always Wes great video thanks for sharing have a wonderful day and stay safe out there hi Tim
Do not change anything, stay the course. Old school is great to see as to your format.
Keep it real my brother, cause that's why I watch! You remind me of my dad and most the small farmers I know.. Shit happens and never be afraid to say it!
I'm with you on the "channel" ads. Pisses me off so I leave the room without comments or tipping the thumbs up button.
If youre on a tablet or phone, download UA-cam Vanced. No more ads to deal with.

Don't Change Your Video's, You Do Your Thing, I Like That....
You are doing a great job Wes.
Keep it up!! Awesome Tim and Wes!!...one damn good looking Deere!!
Totally agree with you on other youtubers selling out I have unsubscribed from 4 channels now as bored of people pushing shite boots, sunglasses, seed or equipment. Keep up the good work wes and family
Hi good video , very well maintained equipment and hi from UK
Hey Wes, always enjoy your videos!!
Hello Wes, love your Channel it is part of my daily routine so I miss you a whole lot when you're not producing since I am used to watching everyday oh, I understand though the reason why. You made mention about not picking on Tim in the you know that you are I don't want to get in the way of family Dynamics but attaboy goes a long long ways in making and making respect for one another. I know it's none of my business but I see it in Tim every once in awhile but he's I don't know how to explain it I think he feels kind of hurt sometimes just a thought and that is none of my business but I like him I like you I've seen him in happier days where he smiles a lot I haven't seen that much lately
agreed seems almost every channel tries to promote something anymore down to watching fewer channels all the time its why i dont watch tv
That baler was standing a crap ton of bales up last year as well. When you were down south. Every field I seen your nephew had baled had bales standing up.
Good work Wes , many years ago you showed how to set knotters on your small bailer, I bought a new holland 69 super liner had few tying and knife problems but was able to sort it people freak out when you smack the knife arm with a hammer to adjust it but now I can identify problems as soon as they arise , this year done about 4000 small squares so far
Good video 👍 Wes. Keep it moving bro. Good to see the Heston working. OH yeah, heat does effect the brain pan,, lol
Great video as always
Well done Wes for KNOT turning it into a commercial channel :P
4910 is a champ, doing much more and better than it was intended to do.
I think that any other baler manufacturer would have to give a baler for a season to Wes if not pay him to use it to get him away from Krone.
Naw, it's good to pick on Tim, keeps him honest Wes. The joys of baling, always fine tuning until you get it just right and by that time, you're done baling for the season. Cheers :)
Looks like nice weather
Like the old Machines .
love to see the old Hesston out and pounding out bails, it is to bade that you had to for the most part make it a Crown to get it right,
Krone is top of the line in the baler market. The crappy part was having to rebuild the entire track system for the head/press section.
I appreciate you not being a shill.
I don't have a problem with a farmer getting some freebies... Wes did too years ago. Any day a farmer can get a freebie is a good day. It's just they need to be up front about it and HONEST about it... too many companies give you sh!t but expect you to fawn all over about how wonderful it is even if it's complete SH!T. AND, unfortunately, there's more than enough farmers that are MORE THAN WILLING to "sell out" and fawn and crawl and sing the advertiser's tune in order to keep getting free sh!t... When they start off with "this episode brought to you by..." I sorta wrinkle my nose and expect a stinker... HFW is basically got his toes on the line if not entirely over IMHO but yeah some channels like Welker or Millennial I've watched a video or two here and there, didn't like what I saw, and moved on.
I've noticed certain personality types over the years... I'm into model rocketry which is the small flying hobby rockets (Estes rockets basically but buy mostly other manufacturers or build my own). MOST guys in hobby rocketry nowadays are into the high power rockets, the kind they launch out in the desert that are REALLY big and use motors that cost anywhere from under $100 bucks to several thousand bucks PER FLIGHT. Now, some of that stuff is neat the see and cool and all, not my bag have no interest in doing it myself, and if someone else does, more power to them I don't care... I'll watch and ohh and ahh and call it good. BUT, some of these guys go WAY out of the their way to show off and will really make sure you know HOW MUCH they spent on this or that or how much their fancy electronics cost or how much they spent on motors last year or how many newton-seconds of motors they burned last year or whatever... Then when you don't fawn on them for KNOWING HOW TO SPEND MONEY they get all p!ssy about it... Most of them are just doing a bigger version of the "whoosh-pop" of model rockets that cost a couple bucks per flight, but they're spending 20-500 times as much, the only difference being they're doing "bigger"... Sorry but that doesn't impress me... I've seen guys doing stuff with MINI MOTORS and regular plain jane old model rocket motors that is HIGHLY technical and scientific or cutting edge of what's possible with rockets that size, or technology available. THAT is impressive to me.
Same thing with guys who try to impress you with the biggest/fastest/mostest *anything* basically... guys with the "baddest" diesel pickup or most tricked out car or the gal with the biggest SUV or fanciest horse trailer or whatever... I see a LOT of that attitude when it comes to some of these farming channels where they just constantly have to throw out how their equipment is the biggest or newest or best or most expensive-- Sorry but that just doesn't impress me... ANYBODY can whip out a checkbook or sign off on a whopping loan and buy some fancy-dancy stuff... I prefer watching guys that can actually fix stuff and improve stuff and really do some big jobs with SMARTS and hard work not just "who's got the fattest checkbook". Later! OL J R :)
The combine are done with the grass seed out here in Oregon and that crone balers are going like crazy
Good job on the rebuild
Good seeing another video.....
Keep up the good work.
Very nice video, thank you.
can't make this up ... Aug, 26th 2020 SRF uploaded a video about a robot lawnmower provided by the manufacturer for review ... oh and of course there's the mandatory amazon affiliate link down there in the description
Great vid Wes.. Have a good day sir..
i love the ole 4960
I think due to your bale chamber extension you might want to make an extention on the shoot too to prevent the bales from standing on end. We used to have 2 4900s for baling straw and if you hit a bump at just the right time it would stand them up like that lol.
You are looking well, it's soaking wet and windy knocking the stuffing out of everything in the uk really depressing being a farmer some times isn't it. Henry in the uk
I enjoy the farming no bullshit UA-cam
Wes keep it up, tell your story, which I like, and keep away from advertising, some channels are now just plugging stuff with very little interesting content.
Even the later built Hesstons throw stalks up through the knotters. It's a pain in the ass. Particularly crops with thick stalks. I had trouble with millet stalks being thrown up and stuck between the billhook roller and the knotter arm. It'd stop the string from sliding off the billhook and cause trouble, if you didn't catch it in time.
i love listening to those classics going
This looks like a different Hesston than the Nephew exploded a year ago. There was talk of rebuilding the compression chamber on that one and employing some Krone mechanical features, but perhaps I missed that.
You got a nice hat
I have to say this Wes, You are not bald you have a high for head. Besides that your wife loves you the way you are.
That advertising has drove me from some sites, live long and prosper. V
Well done Wes, stay exactly how you are. There is too much fake was out there, at least everything you say and do is real and genuine
3:13 I kept thinking of Jim trying to make Michael Scott say it 🤣
It is a good chanel I watch u almost all the time. Where is the new to you peterbilt?
Take at look at mike mitchell.. He is kind of weird but is very honest and unbiased when he is reviewing machinery.
Damn that's a sweet tractor. That baler seems so slow compared to the krone.
Hesston..... You are going to have to bite the bullet on that one Wes.
Ooh cool, I get to see the knotters....waiting.....waiting.....waiting....waiting.....waiting....waiting....pans right, pans back......Op, you missed it. SON OF A B****!!! :-)
I watch on my ps4, on TV with the UA-cam app, no Commercials at all in Norway.. Just the sponsored adds, so I get the wd40, earbuds, and phone game adds, but those can be skipped easy😁
keep on farming
Wes- I had to laugh. Yesterday and today there was a Biden ad for President in your video.
it is not just this channel UA-cam has taken away the ability to remove the mid stream adds in just this 14 minuet video i was hit with 5 adds and yes 3 of the 5 was from was of space biden.
It’s funny cause you can skip Trump ads but not Biden ads. But they aren’t biased or anything.
Hey don't you guys know that Wesley is a card carrying democratic always has been, he just does the act for the audience, hope this is long enough for the read on thing to come up because I haven't a clue what his political views are but I'd bet a lot of money that he has never voted democratic in his life GO JOE 2020
nsgkuaov You must not have watch a lot of this channel. Like most of us we want what best for our country. We vote how we think, believe and feel. This election is going to very important. It is whether we are the best in the world or, the bottom of the swamp. Myself, I hope we are on top. Being on the bottom is no fun.
Daniel Sweeney joking Dan , people are taking this politics lark way too seriously don't you think?
Good video.
12:40 well the "science" behind nearly all the product placements is pretty simple: the youtuber can often create "good" content with the stuff provided, i.e. new machine xyz which will draw viewers to the channel; pretty much all ag channels grew exponentially when their was fancy equipment involved for a few uploads. and then there are these special discount links which on the one hand work as a discount for the viewers but even more work as affiliate links for the youtuber. everytime someone dances of joy because they saved x amount on the purchase the youtuber gets his commission. not only today, but also tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and ...
How many hose power does it take to run a bailer like this
Good man love the Channel I live in Ireland and I work lot on them old hesstons as work for Mf dealer. To stop the hay or crop coming up on the needle Retard the timing chain by 1 to 2 links of the chain and lets the needle go deeper in the plunger but not too deep and for your stuff would you not move the slide or Square that comes out of the side of the baler help with the flakes should be 5mm gap between the two squares with the door press down fully. Not telling you what to do just trying to help keep up the good work from frano allen
youtube creators are more or less paid by product suppliers to make large interesting ads... I know it and still watch some, of course I use layered ad-blocking and don't give props to any products unless I've used them myself and liked them in actual field work! I don't make videos nor get paid anything from anyone, unless I actually go do contracting work ;)
👍
I have been following you because of this 4910. do you have a video up on all the repairs you have done to it? Last I saw it had as issue with the rail for the plunger. Did you fix that?
At last I saw, it had holes on each side. No rails yet, but, Cody was about to start welding it back together. Maybe he filmed it (not) with that Go-pro.
Keep doing what you're doing. The product placement is getting bad on the other channels.
Why do you keep the hesston around ? Other bale size?
He said he’s considering trading it for another krone just ain’t sure since the amount of work he’s put into
Hiya Wes
Do you have to “tune” the baler from day to day as the moisture content in the hay changes?
What are they roughly 250 300 lb bails? Just curious.
And worse still is they are all trying to copy each other too, I gave out to Welker after he started to copy the pornstar, as if we need another pimply ..... when in fact, Welkers own vids are super amazing.
I stopped watching a UK "Trucking Legend" troupe too because they were now all doing "the corporate" thing ~ it also effected them in their real life jobs ~ at least yous farmer guys are more or less self employed n your own bosses.
Keep up being Wes there, my man, :) I tried like this vid twice but then it says I don't like it anymore !!!!!
Would you consider putting on poly pickup bands on the krones?
hey Wes, two things. i skip over the adds for products, I'm just not interested in them. BUT what was the string dragging behind the bailer. did you use that for any reason for when the bail came off the machine
Mike Mitchell Is a good UA-cam or that will not do any sponsors He demos equipment To tell you exactly what he thinks of it
Wes does your bale pickers pick up the 4x4 bales? 👍👍👍👍
Comment
In a 4x4x8 bale, how many flakes per bale are you aiming for?
I love your channel and can't wait to see the next one each day but I will say I disagree with you on selling stuff. I would rather see you push something and you get something in return then somebody else. As far as that goes UA-cam already stops your stuff and makes me watch a commercial. So if you make a few thousand or even a few hundred for me to see you use say product for 20 sec I'm ok with that
I'd keep it as a spare or for work you don't want the Krone to do. What's the HP required to run the Hesston? It has to be far less than a Krone. Maybe throw it on a smaller tractor?
Entirely agree about the adverts and pushing crap that cannot sell on its own merits, I have unsubscribed to a lot of farming channels because of this including Zack and SRfarm. Its a shame as I used to enjoy the videos in the earlier days of the channels, money has taken over unfortunately.
Who did the raking Ray Charles
After pulling that Krone around the field, your never going to be happy pulling anything else. You are going to hold it to a much higher standard than it can perform. Lol Great Job Wes, I watch because you have stayed the same without becoming PC. I glad you don't sale out, stay the same foul mouth hard working channel that I started watching.
The machine I use is the new holland bb940 rotor cutter. When it is wet, the feeding chamber is clogged, the sharebolt cuts out. What should I do?
Is wet weather really a problem in Turkey? In your video (perhaps baling straw?) the conditions looked really dry and NH working well. Just wait a few days and as a plus you get a better silage quality.
@@finlandfarmer1860 the weather problem in april may. problem with early harvested barley oat bales. no problem in straw time
@@finlandfarmer1860 I had to disassemble and clean the feed chamber many times. it's take 1 or 2 hours
@@yusufcaliskan8500 ua-cam.com/video/xsT6QEFH8B4/v-deo.html is a Finnish video of NH baling in wet conditions. It only shows the baler is working... but unfortunately it does not solve your problem. Hope you find a solution for the next season.
It looks just like a Krone but different. 😄😅😬
Do you guys ever run bale acid or preservatives on your baler when making dry hay
You don't need it for mulch hay. High quality horse hay or beef cattle.
@@elmcustomharvesting1072 well in my neck of the woods if you don't run Bale acid when making dry hay you will be screwed, and we're trying to make high-quality hay to sell
