- I paid $75 for this football card box from Goodwill’s online auction platform Shopgoodwill. The reason I bought this lot sports trading cards was because I saw l saw some pretty nice sports trading cards on the listing. I kinda made a risky purchase here with not a lot of info to go on before making this sports card purchase…Let me know if you think it was worth the cost?!

Thank you! I will say that Goodwill does alot of their own purchasing as well, so all the stuff they have (particularly) on shopgoodwill.com is not exclusively donations, but also stuff they have purchased on their own.

I want to believe you actually got this kind of profit from a shop goodwill lot. It seems like you never take a loss on any of their lots and that's impossible for me to believe. It seems like if they even hint at a good card being in lot the prices go through the roof. I've bought about 5 lots from there and have made money on 1 maybe 2 and it wasn't much

Personally I don't think they got the teams wrong on their choices. I don't like that they mentioned it was due to the player being injured that swayed their vote, but I think the weight of the schedules they played against were sufficient to support the selections. That being said, it could have gone either way, there were more qualified teams than there were spots.
I agree with you about the how they mentioned the injury as a reason.. I think it’s crazy about the fact that someone getting hurt is the reason they aren’t in it!
