This is such good news, I don't think I realised how cute Ron's little face was before, too focused on his poorly feet. He really must be feeling so much better now.
The progress you have made on Ron's foot is amazing. Whoever is lucky enought to adopt him is going to get such a great pig. All of your loving care has made him such a well adjusted and adaptable pig. I think he will settle into a new home quite well.
Ron is so adorable, I love the little brown spot on his left cheek, so you know where the kisses go!! You're doing a great job Scotty, his poor little foot looks so much better.
Can't tell if Ron is having a flachback to a horrible foot bath or a horrible living enviroment. I like to think the latter. ether way, great to see him making a great recovery.
Awesome progress!! I finally figured out why Ron is so special to me!! His face looks exactly like my late piglet, named Nolan, crest and all!! If I was closer, I’d adopt him as soon as he was ready to go! Kinda breaks my heart that I’m so far from you guys 😔 Well done, Scott! He’s doing so well because of you! ♥️
Don’t be so grumpy, little prince, Scotty’s helping you! His foot looks so great now, just the last bit of healing and the swelling down, then you’re good to go, little man! His lips 🌹❤️
I love when you give your animals kisses. 💗 It's very satisfying for me. Well done on treating this severe bumblefoot case! You've helped me treat my male piggy who had ringworm all over his entire butt!
What an improvement! It’s hard to imagine how bad Ron’s foot was compared to now (that side-by-side is a good teaching aid.) Good work by both Scott & Ron.
Scotty is definitely a guinea pig’s best friend. Thanks for sharing how to care for bumble foot. Ron is adorable! How are you going to give up him and Gizmo? I bet you’ve gotten really attached. Thanks for all you do! You are amazing!
Soo sooo happy to him healing so well! Ron has definitely come a long way bless his heart. Persistence pays off bigtime! He's is almost ready to go back to his Bayarea Rock Group now.💘Great job Scotty & Ron!👍🐾🐾🙏🕊
i'm so happy and sad at same time, I had a guinea pig with this problem, when I show it to the vet she said that was nothing to be done except trying a softer flor.. my sweet guinea pig end up dying after accidentally rupture the paws on a jump .. she bleed to death.. I wish that I know this.. I could have saved her life.. I'm glad that you are shoing this and hopefully no more piggies need to die becouse of this condition
you know ron isnt mad at you; he just doesnt want to be held down. love the purring when the blow drying was done. you yell at that mean blow dryer, ron; its noisy.
Long road to healing, but still looks like his feet are a bit tender. Those warm foot soaks have to feel good and are soooooo beneficial. Keep loving those piggies.
Wonderful and very educational as always! Thank you so much Scotty for all you and the Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue do for all the sweet babies out there deserving of love 💖
Bactrim is what I use and keep in my kit for my pigs! Guinealynx has info on how to figure out the dosage. It’s by weight of the animal (I’ve had anywhere from .3 to .7 CCs be the dose for pigs in the past). I get it from my mom (she’s an MD) and we weigh any pig and calculate the dosage before starting a course (it works fast on ear infections and UTIs). It’s very popular for pediatrics (in humans). I think most vets give baytril as the go-to, but that’s not approved for use in humans (at least in the US), so my mom can’t prescribe it.
It only comes in one strength, pediatric suspension, just fyi. And so much more gentle side effect profile for them than the baytril. It can be used for uri also.
Hey Was wondering if there is a Australian equivalent of CBD that i could get? I really wish these videos were up before when my guinea pig first got her bumble foot. I had no idea how to treat it and having this resource would have been great. I am glad there is resources like this now so i can better take care of my other two piggy's in the future. Thank you for making these videos :) Piggy love forever!
Do you think some Meloxicam could help with the swelling? It's an Anti-Inflammatory. When Chloe had her abscess, she had Meloxicam and Azithromycin. The pouch was so swollen and sore after it was drained.
Skinnypigs1 mentioned in one of her recent videos that putting guinea pigs on their backs could cause a twisted stomach if you're not careful. Have you had any experience with this? I keep seeing a small callous on one of my guinea pigs's foot and I need to look at it closer to see if it's something worse (so that I don't waste £40+ on a vet visit I don't need) but this has terrified me and I'm not sure how else I can look at it. Do you have any tips on laying them down safely?
you said you would be conscience about not having the veges touch the epson, but your hands were wet when you handled the celery. Didn't you swish it around the container to get it wet therefor having the epson on the celery? Just curious.
i think the guinea pigs were adopted have a mild case of bumblefoot. we’ve been soaking and wrapping them for three days, but i know they’ll probably need some sort of ointment. someone suggested neosporin, is that okay?
msguineapigsrus thank you. Will take him ASAP. Can’t stand anything happening to him, he has the sweetest soul. Cuddles up like a dog, runs around the house. Never felt such love for a pet ❤️ thank you x
Ron, "I will only let you soak my foot if I get unlimited veggies." Scotty, "Is a stalk of celery and a carrot enough?" Ron, "Maybe." Seriously, he is looking great!
I live in Europe and can't get my hand on one of those CBD pens :( I don't know what to use instead. My pig has bumblefoot and I'd love to give her sth similar..do you maybe have any suggestions?
I bet Ron is happy that his paw doesn't need wrapping anymore

Baytril seems to cause stasis for Guinea Pigs so I wouldn't give mine that at all. I would ask for Bactrim.
It only comes in one strength, pediatric suspension, just fyi. And so much more gentle side effect profile for them than the baytril. It can be used for uri also.
Wow!!! It’s amazingly better!!! Great job Scotty!
A whole lot of cuteness! :)
I hope you keep him after all this! So amazing what you've done for him, he looks so much better.
Awww sounds so happy

that's amazing the progress wow !!!
Wow it’s so much better 👍🏻!!
They Allways smile in a close up such friendly heads & lips😍😍🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
wow, his foot looks amazing! great work, scotty!
Excellent job. Your a great dude Scotty. Bless your heart.
Thank you so much for this. I'm now treating a sow who is going through the same thing too, and this has been so helpful.
Antibiotics are a crucial part of it. Soaking and wrapping usually isn't enough to heal it
Very soon, Ron will have happy feet, thanks to you!! Boink boink boink boink
The SSD cream after bathing promotes moist wound healing, much better and faster than leaving the wound to dry to a scab.
Thank you so much for this video it has helped loads .my giunea pig had it but was only mild . I feel like a bad owner
I had issues with buying the CBD from the lagr website. It wouldn't let me.
Is there a Part 4? Is Ron's foot all better?
My poor ginny I just got that had previous owners ,well, my white one has bad bumble I just realized ....
Scotty , you are so good with Ron , i know he doesn't like it much but wow he's looking so much better x Do you think you will keep him and Gizmo ?
I assume you use probiotic with bactrim.
Piggies lips are the best 🤗
So good for him 😘😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀Love him 😉😉🐾🐾💙🤗🤗🤗🤗and you dear
Do you need to offer a probiotics with the Bactrim or does they gut flora handle the antibiotic well?
Hey

Tell us how you really feel, Ron....
Do you rinse the Epsom salt soak off?
Is he possibly a keeper? I worry about recurrence if he gets adopted. 😚
Skinnypigs1 mentioned in one of her recent videos that putting guinea pigs on their backs could cause a twisted stomach if you're not careful. Have you had any experience with this? The CBD cream you mention is that animal grade or just what we as humans can use
What is bumble foot from?
you said you would be conscience about not having the veges touch the epson, but your hands were wet when you handled the celery. Didn't you swish it around the container to get it wet therefor having the epson on the celery? Just curious.

What other changes are happening with Ron? Weight gain? Personally? ....
What CBD oil do you use for them?
Hi scotty. My guinea pig pee has come out with some blood. What could cause this? I’m in a panic
Bladder stones or a UTI are the most common culprits but best to go to a vet.
msguineapigsrus thank you.
My bunny has it
