- Lectric XP Unlocked | Can a Big Guy reach 28mph?? | Let's See!
Demonstration on how to unlock the Lectric XP into a class 3 bike and how easy or not, getting to 28mph is.
If your bike is primarily ridden on pavement, you could switch out your existing offroad fat tires with road tires as they're made in that size. Road tires have a smoother tread. You'll experience less road noise, a smoother ride, and faster acceleration due to the road tires having less rolling resistance than the ones that came on the bike.
Very good points! I ride mostly on pavement or crushed stone bike trails so road tires would probably be a nice addition for sure. I'm working on suspension seat posts and probably gear cassettes right now but may decide to change out the tires as well. Thanks for the information! 😊
You were very helpful explaining in detail which mortifications could be attributed over small rear stock gear. That specific detail is paramount on deciding whether it’s worth purchasing. Thank you sir!
Thanks for stopping by Scarletbull! I’m glad you found some useful content on my channel. Let me know if you have any other questions about ebikes.
Unlocking only allows the motor to go up to 24 mph before cutting out, the 28 is achieved with pedal power in the highest gear and it's easier if you replace the cassette back there.
Yep...I need to replace the cassette. Add that to my growing list!
@@ReflectionsofOurLife Don't wast your money on that, how many times are you really gonna want to go faster than 20 miles per hour? I'd rather use that money to truck your bikes over to a different place to ride and discover, like some trail out of your immediate area.
Good point. I’ve got to get my map out and explore!
I agree with you John, I have no business going over anything class 2 will provide. I saw many cases in your video where cars were up to their stop sign waiting to pull out on your road ... shutter to think what would happen IF they did not see you. 7 - 12 mph is our fun zone. Above that adds unnecessary risk.
I couldn’t agree more! People here don’t look for bikes because they are so rare. I was pretty nervous to tell the truth.
I appreciate the video. I have a Lectric bike on order. Being a big guy myself, I see there's hope in reaching top speed on it. Don't really think I'll be needing to go that fast, but it's good to know it's possible.
Hi Chris and thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment! You will be very happy when you receive your bike. As a big guy, I would recommend getting a better seat and shock absorbing seat post before you go on any long rides...your backside will thank you! 😂 I have links in the description of all my videos for them both as well as other accessories that I use if you are interested. I never go much over 20 miles an hour either but glad I have that option if needed. Thanks again for stopping by and don't hesitate to ask me any questions you might have going forward. I'm happy to help if I can.
Great content 👌 I'm thinking about changing the freewheel to 11-34 and I agree 20 mph is fast enough I usually cruise 7 to 12 mph sometimes 15 mph sometimes 4th gear and pedal assist 1 and use zero volts I notice you travel light I always have a set of metric allen wrenches a Cresent wrench a straight/ Phillips screwdriver and a can of flat repair just in case. God bless safe travels.
I’ve had changing the freewheel since I got the bike but am a master procrastinator!😁. It would even help going 20mph with peddle assist. I mostly use PAS 1 and 2 and sometimes 3. Usually between 5 an 12 mph. The saddle bags are a bit large for me but I’ve also had a bike bag on my procrastination list😂. I guess I’ll finally get one after I’m stuck somewhere😳
@@ReflectionsofOurLife You are going to have a flat. When, I don't know. So am I. I have a bag I carry a flat kit in. Same bag I have my wallet in so at my advanced age I don't forget it. I have tools for removal of the wheel. The whole thing weights maybe 5 lbs. I bet the day after you get a flat you will get the stuff to fix it. 😂😂😂
I know you’re right. I’m going to do my best to take care of that this weekend.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife I am the voice of, Been there, done that. Bwwwwaaaahhhhaaaaa!
@@ReflectionsofOurLife Buy some Armor-Dilloz and put them in your tires. Here is his video of him tearing up a tire and it still runs.....ua-cam.com/video/rpuXeFsWERg/v-deo.html Personally, I put some liners inside my tires, along with the Armor-Dilloz and I feel a lot more safe riding my bike.
First evil event of my new bikes life. My neighbor has the memory of a rock. I have told him someday I will get tired of calling him to move his car from in front of my driveway. Rode to the dollar store & got a big can of peanut butter. Every door handle, mirror, window glass is now a creamy brown.
Oh my...that will be a hit when he sees that! 😂 I hope you don't wake up to jelly smeared on something of yours 😳
@@ReflectionsofOurLife One unique thing about Texans, we have a good sense of humor. He & his Daughter (that was driving the car) scraped off the peanut butter, made sandwiches & left them on the hood of my Jeep saying Sorry, Ma**ie didn't know you're crazy. Bwwaaahhhaaa
LOL!!!!!! That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time!! Cheers to you Texans!
To know your bike can reach a higher speed is probably good information to have, however, after you got over 20mph, the bike was shaky and I felt like it could be very dangerous for you. Now, if the tires were quite large and wide in width, maybe like beach bike tires, it may actually be more stable on roadways, even those that are uneven. Just something to consider. As for me, I'd love to own an electric tricycle that have the capacity to go about 20mph and that can tow a small camper trailer; that's what I'm looking for.
Hi PetuniaRomania and thanks for stopping by! I rarely ride over 20mph unless I'm drifting downhill. My happy speed is around 12mph on a normal ride. The reason the bike looks a little shaky over 20mph is because I was peddling faster than normal. The new Lectric bikes have 3'' wide tires but I have the original which has 4'' tires so they are almost like motorcycle tires and really feel quite stable. I can't ever see me trying to ride anywhere close to 28 to 30 mph. There is a lady that lives only about 20 minutes from me that just got an electric tricycle and I believe it's motor is a 750watt whereas mine is a 500watt so I'd say you could tow a bit of weight with it. I'm not sure what the brand is though. If you are interested I could reach out to her and see what it is called. Just let me know. Have a great evening!!
My bike is in Houston Hobby airport. I am a radio nut also. Looking great so far.
You can probably smell it now!!!!! You never cease to amaze me! By the way, my dad has been a HAM operator since the early 60's and has a crazy set up at his house. He has an antenna that looks like a Large 30 foot radio tower in his back yard. He has talked to people in Australia with it 😊
@@ReflectionsofOurLife Yeah, I started with a Johnson Messenger tube CB radio as a boy. My radio shack has grown some. I have a mobile Ham radio from Beofeng that allows me thru repeaters to talk to anywhere in the world. Beofeng makes ebike motors also. You might be interested in SDR (software defined radio. Very low cost and entertaining. Nooelec makes a dongle that plugs into a home computer/laptop, Amazon & eBay have them. I am not going to jeopardize a birthday card from Uncle Charlie so that's all I'm going to say.
Wow…that’s a mouthful 😂 Definitely don’t want Uncle Charlie involved!
@@ReflectionsofOurLife Ask your dad when the gals are elsewhere how much HAM radios cost. The cost of our bikes wouldn't put a dent in it.
I know they are expensive but never got an actual price. He’s got more equipment than you can shake a stick at. He has a room in his house dedicated to it. He also gives the HAM test to people wanting their license. He tried to get me into it when I was in college but that was in my very shy days. He was going to get me a radio when I passed. But I was so shy I didn’t even like talking on a radio. I always loved sitting with him while he did though.
Thanks for doing this video for us bigger than average guys!
@Elliott R A lot of my earlier videos center around how e-bikes work for big guys. That’s what got me started. I never seemed to see anyone but small people posting videos and just had to by one and try it for myself. So I’m always looking for ways to show that e-bikes work for us big people too😃. Thanks for stopping by!!
I enjoyed it sir. Thanks for your pointers. Maybe 11:32 sprocket will give you the resistance to help you out
I’ve been meaning to change out the sprocket for some time but just haven’t taken the time to do it. I rarely ever ride over 20mph so it’s been put on the back burner. I’ll probably do that at some point though.
I have made the changes. Took most of the morning with several beer breaks in between. I did 31.2 for a couple blocks. That rear cassette is the answer. I think I can hold 25 for miles.
LOL...you've definitely got to have those beer breaks!! That sounds pretty awesome!! I need to change my cassette...does yours have the 11 tooth as the smallest gear?
@@ReflectionsofOurLife It does, that is the reason I changed it. It's Nickel plated also. Looks purty against that black wheel.
Sounds good. That, and a suspension seat post will probably be my next mod!
Glad Saddletramp is staying hydrated in that hot, dry Texas climate. Good thing you're not in a dry county!😬
@@Cyfi71 I roll my windows up when I ride thru dry counties. I now have 107 miles on my bike. I'm starting to act like I know how to ride it. Ordered a 4" back tire. It will fit the rear rim & frame just fine.
I wonder how fast it will do throttle only unlocked.
Good information and good video.
Hi 56! I did try that and you can only achieve 20mph with the throttle whether it's unlocked or not.
Yes you are right , I can pedal to 32mph with the 11 tooth on the rear with my Radrover5.
Getting that gear cassette is definitely on my todo list. I just need to get around to it! 😂 Thanks for stopping by!
Good review. For me 20 mph is plenty. When considering an ebike. More important to me it RANGE. Any bike that can give me 25 miles per charge on just the bikes juice. Is going to be high in my consideration.
@Steve Mann I totally agree with you...20mph is more than enough for me. Since I had several comments asking about the ability to unlock the bike, I decided to do this video and let them know that even at my size you can still reach 28mph. This bike has a 10.4 amp hour battery so it's not the biggest by a long shot compared to more expensive bikes. But you can get a second battery from the company or bigger batteries from other suppliers. As it is stock, I have taken 25 mile rides on crushed gravel using pedal assist. I'd say I'd probably be lucky to get half that with throttle only but I haven't tried it myself. My hope is to use as little battery as possible to get some exercise. Thanks for stopping by! 😀
Good job
Thanks!
Great video as always brother. Now I am satisfied I can go 28 but it really is not necessary lol.
Lol!! 20 seems like you are crawling if your in a car but going faster than that nullifies the reason you are riding a bike. All you can concentrate on is the road. I like to take in the view while I’m riding😊😎 But it’s nice to know it’s there if you need it. 😂
@@ReflectionsofOurLife yes absolutely correct

Great video . I love my 2.0 !!!
Where are you in W. V. ? I am originally from Southern Ohio.
I'm in Washington,( also very hilly ) and this bike is very helpful.
Have a blessed day ,

Thanks again…I’m glad you enjoy it. I made it out to California a couple years ago because we have a son that lives in Davis. Hopefully we can get back out there soon and make a trip north!😀. I appreciate you.
You just found out what pedal over run is. The 11-28 T rear eliminates that.
Sure did...I need to stop putting things off and getting the upgrade parts I've been saying I need to get!!
Cant you just replace the single front sprocket with something a little larger?…. instead of replacing the entire rear cassette??
Probably so but I haven’t looked into what that would take to do it. The problem with that is that it would also make the lower gears (1-3) a little tougher which would hurt my hill climbing here in WV.
A man should know his limitations- Clint Eastwood. My bike is less than 300 miles away right now. Come to Papa :)
Just got an email saying if I want my bike sooner it will cost me $150 more to air ship it. It's already been 2 months now. I refuse to pay it. I don't care if it finally arrives when there's 6 ft of snow on the ground. The way it's going, it might be.
@@bertkelly7650 That my friend is a Scam. I got a email from another asshat that was pretending to be from FedEx and needed my shipping info. The msg had mis spelled words. I got with Lectric. Scam.
LOL!!! "Come to Papa"!!! That is great!!!
@@ReflectionsofOurLife From China to 3.5 miles away from me. I have to wait for the truck to bring it to me. What a trip! I keep thinking about the movie Short Circuit. Number 5. It's journey has only begun. 🕶️😁👍
It's crazy to think that your bike has made that long journey and is finally almost to your doorstep! I loved that movie by the way!!
With my stock Xp unlocked it will reach 28 easily with just moving
the pedals to activate the cadence sensor.Your battery was getting low also. Try again with a fully charged battery. Im sure it’ll be much easier. Besides that my speeds are exact same as yours in all pas levels.
Hi woodie! Thanks for the input😁. Did you change any of the other settings as well? I remember seeing a video a while back where a guy also changed a couple other settings that seemed to get him up to speed quicker. Maybe with my weight I might have needed a little longer straight stretch too. I’ll recharge and try it again. I appreciate you!
I haven’t done anything else to the bike but unlock it and always keep my tires at 30 psi.
Me too except for a better seat and mirror. I like my tires close to the max to extend my battery life. At my size, I need all the help I can get!😂
Just wondering if the time it cut out on you it was a overloaded condition built to favor the electronics. Similarly going uphill would cause an overheated condition. Maybe 🤔 just a guess.
Thanks for dropping by Keith! That’s a good point…I believe your on the right track there. I would tend to agree. 😀
Very interesting tests. I didn’t unlock mine when I had it; 20 mph seemed quite adequate. Having it unlocked doesn’t mean you must ride faster than 20, of course. I wonder if you’ll leave it unlocked.
20mph is good for me too. I just thought it might be interesting if a guy my size would be able to stain the top speed. I figured I would put it back to stock because I figured it would speed up each peddle assist level. Since it doesn’t seem to, I might leave it unlocked just in case I need to go over 20. I might ride with it unlocked and see if my normal use over a little time results in quicker battery use. If so, I’ll put it back.
Nice to have the speed when you need it. Really do wish there were a few flat spots to ride. Hills are ok for viewing, not climbing. 🤣
Yep…it’s hard to find flat spots around here🤣
Hi quick question, does the throttle limit you to 20 mph and you can only reach 28 from pedal assist? Or does throttle only hit 28?
Hi @Gina Chen and thank you for the question. The throttle will only take you to 20 mph. You have to at least turn the peddles to reach 28 even if you aren’t turning them fast enough to help. Thanks for stopping by!😃
IMO,,, your Battery Voltage is lower after all these runs !!!!! Now go and charge your Battery up !!
LOL…I totally agree…especially with someone my size!😂. I headed straight home and charged it.
Can you turn off PA and just use throttle? You were working pretty hard to achieve 28mph.
You have to be in at least PAS 1 for the throttle to work but you don't have to peddle. In PAS 0 you can only peddle with human power. But, you can reach 20mph with only the throttle as long as you are in at least PAS1.
I just met another XP 2.0 owner. He's pissed because he can't unlock the 28 mph mode. The Manual is wrong. Go to page 8 & on the bottom it shows 32. Push the+ button once, it will show 100. turn the bike off. It's unlocked. I already knew this and didn't even read that part of setup. 1.0 owners are not affected. 45 is your #
That is good information to know. I didn't realize that the 1.0 and 2.0 were different. I'll have to mention that on my next video for all the 2.0 riders. I'm glad you were there to lend him a hand!!
Hey , just got a lectric xp lite and I’m having trouble unlocking. I go to 8P and try to change the number to 45 but the number simply blinks and doesn’t change . How do i bypass this
Hi Jenny Boy! I wish I could help but I’m not sure about that. It might be that the Lite can not be unlocked. I haven’t heard anyone talk about unlocking one. You might try emailing Lectric directly and ask them about that. If you do I would really appreciate you sharing that information back here on this channel.
Big guys go faster downhill!😎
You've got that right!!! 😂
Is free pedaling the same as throttle only as far as distance you can go? For instance their site says 20 mi for throttle only but 25 PSA. So if you free pedal on psa 3 will you get the 25 given other conditions considered? Like cuz it limits the amount of power?
Hi Thomas…great question! It really all has to do with the amps that the bike is drawing from the battery. Free peddling will limit the amps being drawn by your speed being limited to the pedal assist that you are in. If you are using throttle only and go faster than the peddle assist number you are in will allow, you will be drawing more juice from the battery if that makes scents. If you are free peddling in peddle assist 5 you would be drawing the sam amount of juice as you would be if you were wide open on the throttle. I hope that helps. Keep in mind that the harder you peddle in peddle assist the longer the battery will last because it’s not having to draw as many amps from the battery.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife perfect! I literally just bought a lectric before replying. Thanks for your videos, they were part of my deciding factor to go with this bike and brand! Safe riding to ya! I can’t wait to use mine! I’m blessed to be in sunny florida and live on a beach! Also, florida is pretty flat, so I should get decent mileage and time!
That is awesome…I know you will enjoy it…especially in Florida!! Unfortunately, we have to go through winter which limits our riding. My wife and I are talking about heading south when we retire so we can ride more. My Uncle lived in West Palm beach and I used to visit quite frequently when I was a kid. I’d say you will get max mileage there in Florida. We are pretty excited about our weather getting better so we can continue filming our rides! Happy Riding!
Its a cadence sensor there is no such thing as free pedaling. Your speed will vary on your cadence hense a cadence sensor. Torque sensor would be able to sense how much effort your putting in.
I agree. When I said free peddling I meant that I was just turning the peddles to see how fast the bike would go without putting any effort into it. I wasn’t feeling any resistance while peddling…just turning them to make the motor work.
Forgot to mention I’m 185lbs.
I’m over 100lbs heavier then. I guess I wanted to see if it was possible to hit that speed at my weight for all us “big” people😂. I figured if I could hit 28, most everyone could.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife Thanks for being honest about your weight. I ordered a 2.0 and weighing in at 204 lbs I was a bit concerned about the bikes capabilities to assist me until I watched your video. Btw I subbed👍
You’re very welcome…I’m nothing if not honest😁. These bikes will have you zipping around like you can’t believe! I never saw anyone even close to my weight on an ebike so I took a shot in the dark and actually ordered 2 of them. One for my wife and me. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I like to share my weight in a lot of my videos to take the hesitation away from people. If I can conquer some of the terrain we have here in West Virginia, I don’t believe very many will have any problems. Thank you again and I really appreciate you subscribing!!😁. Don’t hesitate to ask me any questions you have about the bike…I’m glad to help in any way I can.
Good thing I canceled it and got the himiway cruiser the lectric xp 2.0 is not powerful enough for me
Different strokes for different folks!😁 I guess this video was good info for you after all😁. I’m glad you found the ebike for you’re needs. Doesn’t matter what anyone gets as long as they are happy with it and it meets their needs. For this old soul, spending under $1,000 for a bike that will go 20mph and possibly 28mph with a 300lb rider is good for me. I know you will enjoy the Himiway!
When you unlock a ebike do the battery drains faster? I'm not talking about going at higher speeds I'm just talking about in general even at low speeds too..
Hi Trini_Boi! Since unlocking my Lectric ebike, I have not noticed any quicker battery drain up to 4 PAS. When I select PAS 5, the max speed raises and battery drain is a little bit faster at the higher speed. So to answer your question, as long as I’m riding my normally I don’t feel the battery drains any faster at lower speeds. I hope this helps. 😁
@@ReflectionsofOurLife thanks I'm asking all these questions cause I want one and since I'm spending my hard earned money I want to get a good deal along with a good bike I wouldn't have problems or very minimal problems 😆
I totally understand…I watched tons of videos about ebikes before I made my purchase as well.😁. One of the things that sold me on the Lectric was their high customer satisfaction with regard to the customer service. They are top notch!
@@ReflectionsofOurLife smart man not only getting a good ebike is important but good customer service when you need them.. spending your hard earned money on something and you end up with a paper weight in the end is not fun..
I emailed customer service once with a question about the freewheel and a technician replied the same day. I’ve heard similar stories many times. I’ve not had any issues with either bike so far and have over 500 miles on mine.
Must have been difficult finding a level area to run that test out of a traffic area. I know WV is not known for being flat, lol. I'm not too interested in speed when it comes to the Lectric. If I had wanted speed I would have bought another motorbike. I know some really are obsessed with it, but I could care less. I just want transportation that is fun and a little sense of adventure. I just received my Lectric 2.0 yesterday, so I really feel like I own one now, ha ha.
I agree…I was just curious if it was stout enough to get me there. It’s going back to stock. Battery life is more important to me. Congratulations on finally getting your bike. I hope you get out and enjoy it…happy riding!!!👍
Is anyone else having issues unlocking top speed? I enter the settings and mine blinks 32 and won’t go any higher, it flashes to 100 but stays on 32.
I have the 1.0 but the 2.0 needs to be set to 100. On mine, I just go to the correct setting and push the up arrow to get to the needed number and then hit the mode button to lock it in. If that doesn't work, hopefully, someone with a 2.0 will shine some light on this issue. If not, I'll ask the question on my next video and see if we get a better answer to your question.
Does this work on xp lite?? To get 28 mph?
I’m sorry Alex but I’m not sure about that. It seems like I heard that the Lite does not unlock to hit 28mph. It’s motor is half the size of the Lectric XP. You can go on the Lectric Website and email them that question if you like. The site may also say something about that. Thanks for stopping by 😁
I think ur spedo might be off. U might wanna verify with gps. U might just find it reads faster than whats its really doing. I know mine was. Lectrics aren’t known to be very fast so based on ur size and the bike reaching 25 would be a heck of pedaling in higher gear
Speed is a very funny thing when it comes to biking. On my most recent video, I reached 29mph on the bike's spedo going downhill. I had the "Relive" app running during that time and after the ride it shows a map that you traveled along with the elevation you climbed, your fastest speed recorded and some other things. That app showed that I hit 37mph where the bike showed 29mph. So I guess the moral of the story is, who knows what it correct? 😂 I might try downloading a different gps app and see if it seems a little more accurate. Thanks for watching and commenting your thoughts. I appreciate it! Thanks, John
@@ReflectionsofOurLife
Yea try just a spedo app or atleast run a reliable gps app like gaia gps
I’ll try that…thanks for the info!
How much speed can I get on my 2.0 XP if I switch out my tires for smaller ones?
That's a good question Antonio...I haven't tried or heard of anyone trying that. Since the engine would be turning at the same rate, smaller diameter tires would make you go a little slower. Bigger tires such as 22, 24, or 26 inch would make you go a little faster. The problem is that I don't know what the formula would be to figure what speed you could get by changing the diameter of the tires to a smaller size. I'd say that the difference would be pretty minimal unless you went VERY small on the tires.
My brother is 330 pounds. Do u think the lectric would be okay for someone his size?
Hi Dane! The Lectric is VERY well made and should be able to support his weight just fine. When I first got my Lectric I was about 305lbs and felt very comfortable on it. The only question would be the terrain where he lives. If he lives in a relatively flat area it should be fine. If his terrain in pretty hilly like mine in WV, I would probably look at a bike with a 750 watt motor like the Ratton that I have. I have a couple new videos about the Ratton LM 750 on my you tube page. Thanks for stopping by.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife we live on the outskirts of town and it relatively flat.
It sounds like it would work for him then. The Lectric motor is surprisingly stout so I’m pretty sure it would work nicely for him. At 305lbs, it feels peppy to me. I’d go for it if I was him😀
Did you try throttle only (no peddling) after changing to class 3?
Hi Leroy! I did try the throttle when it was unlocked to class 3. You can only reach 20mph with the throttle in both class 2 and 3 so there was no change to that.
Do you have a purchase code? Bc of this video, im buying one
Hi David! I really appreciate you asking but unfortunately, Lectric doesn’t do that at this time. But I would appreciate it if you let them know about your decision base on “Reflections of Our Life” channel. Maybe they will provide a code to me down the line. I’m glad that my video help you make your decision. I know that you will enjoy the bike! I appreciate you…keep in touch and let me know if you have any questions about the bike. 😁
Can you climb steep hills with it?
Absolutely! I live in West Virginia and every place we ride has at least one steep hill 😂. If you check out some of my other videos you can see some of them. Keep in mind that I’m also 300 lbs. the lighter you are the steeper you can climb.
The question is, why would you want to?
I made this video for those who had asked how to unlock the faster speeds. If you watch my videos I usually cruise around 6 to 10mph...downhill I might reach 20mph. The only way I would want to go this fast is if chased by a fast dog...which I have been once or twice 😂
What setting was pas on when you hit 28?
I was on pas 5 when I hit 28.
20+ mph isn't a good speed for all the time riding.. It wears down the battery really fast. Best to ride it at bike speeds 12- 16 mph and get a nice long ride. Downhills I do hit 28, but only because i'm not pulling using any battery, I live in an area with big hills, and its fun. XP is meant to be a bike, not a moped.
Hi Northy Land and thanks for stopping by! I totally agree with you. The only reason I did that video was because of some questions that I had. I generally ride on PAS 1 or 2. PAS 3 is used very sparingly. My wife and I like to cruise at 10 or 12 mph. I like to take in the scenery😁
@@ReflectionsofOurLife I'd use it like a moped, in pas 5 unlocked If i thought it was a good idea. But I get the vibe pas 2 or 3 is better choice for this bike. Battery life seems to be happier when not pulling 20 Amps all the time. I usually ride at night, and have 2 lights, not including the crap stock headlight. I ride at night because traffic is less, less people walking on the bike paths, and I love to see the moon, and i want to date a werewolf.
I agree. I love the night and have always been a night owl but I don’t know about the werewolf thing🤣🤣
Just got my xp 2.0 and when I go to page 8 I cannot adjust the other setting go 45 just 32 and 100.
I made a mistake on this video. For the 2.0 you need to set it to 100. Sorry about that.
The manual is wrong, 100 is what you want to set it to.
The 1.0 has to be set to 45 but the 2.0 has to be set to 100. I forgot to mention that in the video.
why didnt you just do the test on pas 5. thanks for the long video.
I believe I did the max speed test on 5. I just wanted to see how unlocking the bike effected all peddle assist settings. Turns out 1 through 4 stayed the same but 5 let me go faster. I was just trying to be thorough since someone would have asked why I didn’t compare the lower PAS settings. Thanks for stopping by!😁
I'm 240 my bike comes tomorrow 🤪
Congratulations...that is exciting news!!! I still remember the first ride I took on mine...it's unbelievable! This bike should work great for you. Make sure you let me know how you like it. Enjoy!!
What gear are you in!
When I reach 28mph I’m in 7th gear and pedal assist 5.
7:45
You guys know how long the bikes take when you order them
Hi Sam...thanks for stopping by!! I think the Lectric website says about 6 weeks but from what I hear it can be as long as 8 to 12 weeks depending on when the shipments come in. As you might know, pretty much all ebikes are built in China and shipped to the US. Once they clear customs, they ship to the distributor. Then FedEx is contacted to pick them up for shipment and it's then in their hands as to how long it takes. I can even depend on what part of the country you live in. This is an unfortunate part of the ebike industry as a whole but I can guaranty that the wait is well worth it! 😂 On the other hand, I've heard of people receiving them within 4 to 6 weeks so it's really hard to tell exactly. If anyone here has received theirs recently maybe they can chime in on this too. I appreciate you stopping by!
Ordered my bike 6/2/2021 - received text today indicating bike would be delivered on 7/27...
Hi Brian and thanks for updating us!! Sounds like Lectric is starting to catch up on their shipping😁. You’ll have to let us know how you like it when it arrives! I appreciate you!
I order mine jun 9th now July sad 😔😔😔
Hi Sam…you still haven’t heard anything about shipping from Lectric yet??
Sub #499 here.
How big of a guy are you?
Im 5'8, 215
Edit: I made my comment b4 finishing the video.
Thanks Mark...I'm glad to have you here!! Yep...6ft and around 300lbs. I like to let people know because that makes a huge difference on ebikes. My wife at half my size can absolutely blow by me because she is so much lighter. Her battery also lasts a bit longer and she can use more assistance than I can. At your size, these bikes would be great!!
@@ReflectionsofOurLife I'm 6'2 and my weight is 175 to 180 lb, would this be a good bike for me
Hi Bill…most definitely!! My uncle at 6’3” or 6’4” rides comfortably with room to spare. Anyone under 200lbs would absolutely love these bikes. It actually does great for me as well. Just a little slower uphill the closer to 300lbs you get.
@@ReflectionsofOurLife thanks, sounds like the bike for me.
I'm 240 I hit 27. Lol my friend hit 29.
Hi Footie Laughs!! Thanks for stopping by! I was about 250 before COVID but when my company sent us home to work in March 2020, I've gained 40 or more pounds. I decided that I needed something to get me out of the house and exercise a little and I found it with this ebike! It was tough for me to hit 28 but I'd say if you change the gear cassette it would be much easier. I just might do that sometime soon. But really, 20 is fast enough for me!! 😂
I don't think you unlocked it.
I did unlock it. This is the first generation Lectric bike. I think the later versions might unlock a little different. But I definitely went from a top speed of 20mph to around 28mph with both my Lectric bikes. But I really never ride much faster that 10 to 15 mph anyway. Only on short bursts do I get much faster.
Your constant swerve driving is making me nauseous.
I’m sorry about that. I have to remember that I’m riding a bike and not a motorcycle and that peddling hard causes me to swerve a bit. I’ll try and remember to stay more steady for the camera. Thanks for your input😁
