I have purchased every Jobava and Dutch course that Simon has done. They are all terrific but this latest Jobava course is the most thorough of them all. Well worth the $ as his courses are.
Great video like always Simon! Keep them comming. Liked and commented before actually watching the video! Now im going to enjoy my dinner and learn some Jobava!
Great video Simon! Have you thought about playing blitz session of pure Jobava London with Jobava himself? He's such a nice guy and last time you played with him was great! Would be good promotion for the course as well. :)
Like Mark, I´ve purchased the Jobava course as well as the Ginger GM method. Simon is an excellent presenter and I´ve learned a lot from his DVDs. I like that Simon wants you to understand the ideas and not memorize lines. Each single video has one particular theme which Simon often illustrates using some very instructive GM games.
Love the long plays! I ripped my hairs apart when you didnt play (in the "fun" position) Bxh7+. You missed (or wasn't t explosive enough?) that after Kxh7 you had Qh5+ winning on the spot : Kg8 Rxg7+Nxg7 Rxg7+ Kxg7 Bh6+ Kg8 Qg4+ Kh8 Qg7++. More explosive but perhaps dubious was the other move order: Bxh7+ Kxh7 Rxg7+ Nxg7 Rxg7+ Kxg7 Qh5! f6 (best defense i think) Bh6 and Qg4 next move looks strong enough. Seems explosive enough to start a revolution. Thanks for he content maestro! Going to buy this Jobava DVD. edit : didn't see there was a computer analysis at the end, my bad
I’ve been working through the Chessable course. Have only gotten through about 20% of it so far but still gave three players rated 300-500 points higher than me a run for their money in 10 minute blitz last night, including one win. None had seen the opening before.
please let me know if the course ever goes on sale again ... its impossible to buy at the current price after USD got so much more expensive for me after the crisis related to my countries currency.
Long play games where the thought process is explained is good because lets face it - nobody's learning anything watching 90 mins of someone rattling through a bunch of 1 to 5 minute games!
26:10 instead of Bh6 I was thinking Qh5 ? (he cant take with knight its pinned by Rook) how he gonna defend Qxh7 next move? and ideas of Q takes that pinned knight after king moves or Bh6 after knight moves
Is it called the Greek Gift because a Trojan Horse would be confusing since it's not a knight that's being offered? :) I've been playing for 3 months now. Love the vid's from GingerGM!
Man it would've been cool to see that double rook sacrifice! That was a beautiful combination but I don't blame you for not seeing a mate in 10! Great game nonetheless
I understand the Jabova London is a system for the white side. So what opening system do you recommend for black side if someone doesn't have a lot of time to study theory? And I see two prices on the site. What's the difference?
I'm not qualified to answer the opening part of your question, but I believe the price difference in Chessable is because you can buy just the move trainer which is cheaper, or you can get the move trainer with the videos explaining the ideas.
To me this is the Maria London system, she played it always as white before Jobava was born! Everyone knew it wasn't very good try for advantage as she blocked her c-pawn
the normal 2.Bf4 is a better move order to get in the Jobava london system than 2 Nc3 because it avoid the pin variation wich is a positional refutation to the 2Nc3 move order giving =+ to black of course with 2 Bf4 you have to know other London system variation but Bf4 is the correct way to play. not 2 Nc3
Again your not doing a very good job at selling the course by playing complicated lines most of us want easy to learn systems and get wins with as little effort as possible.
+1 for more longplay games!
Amazing how even watching you play helps you learn so much, best chess youtuber by far
The 'excellent move' at around 35:02 cracked me up lol.
Great content as always, Simon. Cheers!

Nice mate!
inner me: cries in poor :(
Would you say that it has helped your games in terms of your rating, or are you an unrated player?
i like your video style ... these games focusing on one opening and exploring different ideas. it really helps a lot.
Let's all give thanks to your opponent for being an honest player.
your art of attack course has changed the way I play so much, not so the first time but I came back to it 4 months later and it's game changing
I grabbed that 50% off deal. Can't wait to dig in
Thanks for all the free edutainment! These long play games are so much fun to watch, man.
you are by far the best chess youtuber. This vid was helpful as I always struggle to win when ahead on mterial
Great video like always Simon! Keep them comming.
Liked and commented before actually watching the video!
Now im going to enjoy my dinner and learn some Jobava!
Simon is by far the most entertaining chess personality, and very instructive as well. its a crime he's not more popular
Great video Simon! Have you thought about playing blitz session of pure Jobava London with Jobava himself? He's such a nice guy and last time you played with him was great! Would be good promotion for the course as well. :)
awesome game, thanks Simon
I bought the DeeeeeeVeeeeee Deeeee. I must admit I struggle with this system and it doesn't appear to be as flexible as the London. I'll keep trying!
I also bought the DeeeeeeVeeeee Deeeeeeeeee
yeah i agree, not the most agile of london variants
Sound is fine! The video jumped sometimes, but it wasn't too bad. The content was excellent as always :)
He needs a faster PC - every video glitches multiple times!
10:00 What about the Greek gift already?
Nice game!

Love these games Simon. Your style is fun. Also, keep the mohawk. It works.

Bought the full course including vids and working through it. Think I wanna play it for rest of my career!
please let me know if the course ever goes on sale again ... its impossible to buy at the current price after USD got so much more expensive for me after the crisis related to my countries currency.
Always enjoy the long ones.

Thanks Simon.
Just found this channel and love it. Make an English defense course on chessable!!!
and here we go
Very educational
26:10 instead of Bh6 I was thinking Qh5 ? (he cant take with knight its pinned by Rook) how he gonna defend Qxh7 next move? and ideas of Q takes that pinned knight after king moves or Bh6 after knight moves
maybe f5 was a defense im just thinking:D
Very nice
thanks love
Was this a game in 10? You learned a new brilliant sequence! :)
Hits elbow*
My entire nervous system: 7:30
Is it called the Greek Gift because a Trojan Horse would be confusing since it's not a knight that's being offered? :) I've been playing for 3 months now. Love the vid's from GingerGM!
Kc6 last defense move how would you mate?
Hello. What is the name of the chess engine you are demonstrating this video?
Very interesting!
Ah yes, a longer game with my favorite opening, what a combo!
I know about Chessable. Grabbed a free Chessable pen at my last weekender. Thanks guys.
Man it would've been cool to see that double rook sacrifice! That was a beautiful combination but I don't blame you for not seeing a mate in 10! Great game nonetheless
In the analysis the excellent move (blue) is not as good a move as the best move (green). Simon you were right not to go for the greek gift.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what analysis tool are you using?
Simon MAKES you wanna learn chess👍👍👍👍
Great opening to confuse your opponent

Chessable is great!
Use your opponent's time to calculate your moves..thanks for this insight
Hi, I try to buy the new Jobava London system for my husband with the sale 50% but I do not find the link mentioned. Can you help me?
(Beats opponent convincingly...) "I could have won in a more stylish way" (frowns) lol.
Ledge
Harry!!!!!!!
To me this is the Maria London system, she played it always as white before Jobava was born!
Everyone knew it wasn't very good try for advantage as she blocked her c-pawn
Wow I cant play this video, is it upgraded quality?
360p resolution only
Today it's working fine
This is what I hate about GMs instead of showing the easy win they have to show off and go down insanely complicated lined.
also makes my hair silky soft!
“It’s not a dating app”!!
the normal 2.Bf4 is a better move order to get in the Jobava london system than 2 Nc3 because it avoid the pin variation wich is a positional refutation to the 2Nc3 move order giving =+ to black of course with 2 Bf4 you have to know other London system variation but Bf4 is the correct way to play. not 2 Nc3
I think it's fair to say this opponent is hugely overrated😕
Again your not doing a very good job at selling the course by playing complicated lines most of us want easy to learn systems and get wins with as little effort as possible.
