I’m interested what if the thief’s try to drill out the key hole? How can I take it off? Will I have to get a lock smith out there? Or….?

Didn't even think about them just loosening the neck tube. New to gooseneck trailering and looking for a security measure. Guess there is no happy medium and would have to take the neck off every time.

Choose a better key I'd be able to pick it in less than 2 mins

nice ideal, practical.. from a lock picking perspective, i'd wonder if there were 'mushroom' aka 'spool' pins in there to deter picking, from a drilling perspective, the 'shear line' of that cylinder is vulnerable to a battery drill and about 60-90 seconds of an experienced driller.. in other words, a skilled driller can have that cylinder plug turned in that time.. assuming he's surgical in his precision with an relatively small diameter drill bit and there aren't any hardened 'anti-drill' pins in the cylinder from the manufacturer.. over 35 years in the locksmith trade.. ya know a few things..

was wondering that myself. been a tow driver for 17 plus years. repo and all... spent some time with a locksmith as well... cant tell you how much that opened my eyes to the vulnerability of all these supposed "high security" locks. especially the master locks. i wont even buy them now. and just to prove my point to some of my customers on job sites, i purposely bypass their master lock 175 and M175's within seconds... then they pull the no 3 or 5 and i grab my two hammers or shims or zip ties... i've actually won money by betting them...

Not to put down your product, BUT...what stops a thief from making a coupler that fits the outside of the tube instead of the inside? All they need is a set screw (or two) and it's instantly on to cover tube and your lock and away they go!!! Please don't think I just gave them ideas because they are probably way ahead of me!!! The only way I can see this being deterred is if your locking pin stuck out enough to also go into an outer ring with fins to stop placement of a tube over the trailer tube.
