So glad you covered this. I’m surprised you didn’t go! I was a volunteer at Cape Town 2010. I keep very signifiant memories and connections from Lausanne.
Maybe not true worship but Jesus promised where two or three are gathered in his name He will be in the midst of them. Pretty sure the real catholic church is going to be okay.
Hello Rodd, I've been reading the early church fathers quite a lot recently, I've read the first hundred years of orthodox Christian writings and more. And don't remember anything like what you're saying! Or anything like it on the Bible! The Eucharist is certainly biblical, and the early church express it's centrality. (Although I'm not sure they would agree with the technical Catholic doctrines on it) The altar? Where is that even mentioned in the new testament? Or early church? What the Bible does say is that you need love, and the true gospel to have true worship.
Great analogy (denominations as homes in the same neighborhood) worth thinking about, thanks.

What a lovely picture of all nations , people of all tribes worshipping Jesus together. It is a wonderful picture and it’s true.
Take it not Extravehicular Activity either?
Nah
If there is no Altar, No Eucharist, then there in no true worship, according to the Bible and the Early Church.
