About my channel.......
My middle son, Daniel John Hasselberger was born on November 22, 1997, with a rare brain deformity called Polymicrogyria. The deformity happened due to a virus called CMV, or cytomegalovirus that I caught while early in my pregnancy.
He has seizures, respiratory issues and aspiration risks, can only eat by g tube, is in a wheelchair, can not speak, and has had countless surgeries and hospitalizations over his 17 years.
We are a family of 5 from Sandy Hook, CT and this is our journey.
Every day is full of new things that we don’t expect. I am Julie, Daniel’s Mom.
Why did I create this channel? For support, to help other families dealing with the same diagnosis, to help anyone who is living with disabilities or caring for someone who is. For support as a woman living with severe fibromyalgia and depression as I close in on 50. For friendship, and community.

My kids are all still home. My oldest says he is moving out after this semester and my youngest wants to live on Campus in the fall. I might lose 2 at one time :(
My oldest did move out a few years ago but came back. My middle child is a different story. I dont talk about him much because He doesnt like it. I dont know what his future will be. My youngest was my miracle baby so it will be really hard to let her go
How do you know if Daniel is happy or sad or needs something
