Americans showcasing talent despite lack of UCI road racing in the USA! Matteo has been knocking on the door for a victory this year. Brandon was definitely due!
I enjoy what Carlton Kirby brings to the race personally. He’s the spectator’s commentator and draws out the character of the race and riders, in addition to race tactics.
“Guillaume Martin attacked cuz he didn’t wanna lose time on the descent.”💀💀💀 We will never forget him descending his jersey unzipped and eventually get dropped LOL.
Hi Mr Rouge, loving your work. I’ve been a bit busy this week so missed most of P-N and last night I was able to catch up in concise bit size chunks through your videos. So thanks a lot!
Watching all your early season race coverage is confirming two things. Firstly, you’re better than GCN at this, and secondly, that Bike Exchange kit is straight up absolutely fucking foul. One for the ages but not in an even slightly positive way.
USA might not produce GC kings or Van-something-beasts, but we do have some exciting youngsters. Yahoo, McNulty! Go Matteo!🇺🇸🎉👊 Next time, WVA 😊 Nice fighting spirit, Pierre Latour!
Martinez' downhill skills may not be top, yet his climbing style is absolutely beautiful to watch, there's something rhythmical about it, those legs moving like pistons, I'm a fan
Wout has been a Redbull-sponsored athlete for many years. But only seen in cyclocross previously. Apparently this year his contract changed and an agreement was made with TJV to allow him the helmet sponsor carry-over. Much more common in off-road cycling (I guess never before seen in road cycling?), it's an honored privilege to be a "Redbull Athlete", as very few in each discipline or sport are given this sponsorship, and it is almost never taken away or given to a rival.
For me it looks like Martinez didn‘t break that hard. As you can see he would get squeezed in by Nairo and the Quickstep rider. Normally moving up during a descent in a group is not cool! When you have your position you have your position 🤷🏼♂️ Nairo messed it up. My humble opinion.
No Jumbo Visma support for Roglič in 2nd half of the stage5!? UAE will destroy Jumbo in Tour 2022. 21 days not 5! Sorry Jumbo Visma but Your team is not good enough to win Tour.
When people talk who don't know anything… WVA let the peleton go, because he wanted to safe energy for upcoming classics - Kruijswijk crashed early in Paris nice and at the Tour are Sepp Kuss and Jonas Vingegaard for the high mountain support + Rohan Dennis can support primoz pretty late into the mountain - Jumbo Visma will destroy UAE and not the other way around
No Vingegaard or Kuss here, Jumbo's best climbers after Roglic. Van Aert also already made clear he was going to save himself for the classics, won't happen at the tour. And other riders might also have dropped for the same reason as Wout (Laporte, Van Hooydonck, Teunissen), to not blow up here before the classics arrive. Don't worry about TdF, normally TJV should have the strongest team, maybe just rivaled by UAE and Ineos(?).
The "good" thing of TJV and UAE being so "talented" (a.k.a having REALLY good doctors) is that even if the TdF is contended only between them, it'll be really fun to watch.
McNulty power at faun ardeche here - lanternerouge.com.au/2022/02/26/american-climbers-are-flying-faun-ardeche-classic/
“Latour bike throw for no bonus seconds” 😂😂
UCI points tho? Need all they can get

What talent?
@@11-inch Just another troll based on your other comments. Kuss, McNulty, Jorgenson, Simmons, Sheffield. All top of the game
@@daniel_zitter Jorgenson is American? Didn't know before
@@daniel_zitter Imagine if the worlds were taking place today, with that team and form...
Armstrong?
I ignore all the other highlight videos until the LR recap video is up🤙
yes its incredible how well made his videos are. I always end up being completely clueless watching the GCN or Eurosport recap
I enjoy what Carlton Kirby brings to the race personally. He’s the spectator’s commentator and draws out the character of the race and riders, in addition to race tactics.
Facts
Fantastic little touch noting Martiniez's braking on that descent - love your coverage and analysis.
“Guillaume Martin attacked cuz he didn’t wanna lose time on the descent.”💀💀💀
We will never forget him descending his jersey unzipped and eventually get dropped LOL.
I sit down for lunch and you upload a video at the perfect time. Miracles do happen 😁
Finally! Welcome back Brother Lanterne. Kudos to you for finding the plot once again. #Mulletsarenotaero
I also noticed how Soren Kragh is still up there with the GC contenders. I will be interested to see him at the tour if he is on this kind of form
excellent summary as always!
Felipe? Simon Felipe Yates?? 👀
McN smart move looked the bomb punching his way out group. Class
3:04 LR, always keeping us on our toes. Beautiful
I hope we get to see a Yates v Yates top form showdown this year
Where? Catalunya or Giro since those are the only big GC races where Roglič and Pogačar will not participate
Simon will gap Adam
Great breakdown! Thanks for linking the article. 🇺🇲

Agreed
So happy for Brandon, yes very amusing seeing him offload and then pounce on the bunch !! Simon is close now... 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 go BEX!
Let’s Go Brandon!
Rog and Pog have gone to another level, a ridiculous level
👍😉
Thanks Patrick for the insights, as always. If we see a hint of a new mullet, who should we call?
What the hell was Latour sprinting for anyway ? Too much energy ?
Dennis did great, still miss Martin 😢
Loving the Yates caption 😀
Also: if you want them to let you back into Australia then you need to re-grow the mullet ;-)
A Stunning running scenary 🚴
looks like Ineos will just be stage-hunting at the Tour this year.
Gotta say I am a fan of Pierre Latour. He is always somewhere in front.
Ineos has fallen off this year in the GC races. Yates, D-Mart, G, etc. would all be happy with a podium at this point.
How can you win if you can’t even keep up with the attack lmao, and Egan is overrated, bottled every races where there are heavy hitters
USA might not produce GC kings or Van-something-beasts, but we do have some exciting youngsters. Yahoo, McNulty! Go Matteo!🇺🇸🎉👊
Next time, WVA 😊
Nice fighting spirit, Pierre Latour!
Don't forget Simmons. Top 10 at strade bianche last week
Produced lance armstrong though
Let's go Brandon!
Lmao! Latour seriously sprinted for 9th place. Wasn’t worth any prize money or UCI points. Only 2 sprint points.
Try covering cape epic next week, its MTB but i would love to hear your commentary on it.
Martinez' downhill skills may not be top, yet his climbing style is absolutely beautiful to watch, there's something rhythmical about it, those legs moving like pistons, I'm a fan
Haha. I love how the tittle is technically a spoiler… but in fact not really. 😀
Roglic is an animal!
Can we talk about WVA suddenly sporting Red Bull sponsorship on the helmet?? Looking like Colin Strickland with that lid on...
'Felipe Yates'🤣
EF really not getting a whole lot done this week it seems like.
Happy days for primoz, I’m gonna start the official LR Primoz fan club
Ok but why is wout wearing a redbull helmet? What does it mean?
It's a new brand of energy drink trying to break out in the market using pro cyclists as advertising material
it means he is the chosen one
It gives him wings like the zwift power up
Wout is bullish in the peloton? Wout is bullish in TT? Wout is bullish on climbs? Wout is bullish in sprints?
Wout has been a Redbull-sponsored athlete for many years. But only seen in cyclocross previously. LET"S GO BRANDON !!!!!
😄
Rumour has it Latour is still looking for medical attention for multiple burns sustained in this video
"Simon Felipe Yates" 😂
I think Wout gonna try to break away in stage 6 for stage winning
Froglic 🐸😎

Utter nonsense!
I think they're sprinting for UCI points
Simon Felipe

Do you release they only brought one other climber. At the tour there is vingegaard who can rival pogacar and other good climbers
No support in the last 10k calm down the tdf team is not fully at paris-nice like vinegard and van aert is saving energy for the upcoming classics

Rogla🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴
Simon Felipe Yates 😅
McNulty be like: "See you in the douches."
Lets go Americans!
I just hard to understand his guy´s commenting
Why does Brandon have to ride for UAE :(
would rather see him there than have him waste his career at EF
As they say in the USA "Let's go Brandon!"
The "good" thing of TJV and UAE being so "talented" (a.k.a having REALLY good doctors) is that even if the TdF is contended only between them, it'll be really fun to watch.
Lol .. like how every champions league winner cheats in some way right?
McNulty has been putting out world tour numbers since he was 16
@@daniel_zitter Indeed, the thing is that I'm not refering only to Brandon's performance, but to both squads TJV & UAE
Toooo much talking …non stop!
