So if the Justice League starts to go psycho and Superman's the only voice of reason left then its game over right, if the person on shift has a change of heart in the future he will be the first to die and that alone is gonna send the world straight to hell.
I think the reason he didn't give batman the choice is because batman would NEVER kill superman only subdue he could not be trusted with the responsibility of killing him, him and superman are more than allies, comrades, teammates, there brothers not by blood but by bond and because of this batman could never kill superman
At the very moment of his defeat he finally realizes the cost of everything he's done and that it's effectively been all for nothing because A) He's been defeated and B) Lois would indeed be disgusted with what he's become The soul thing, I think is a thing with how entering the Phantom Zone worked in Superman 2 and Supergirl.
Am I the only one who thinks that Superman's a complete idiot in this ending? I mean, ARE YOU FREAKING JOKING ME!? Superman just placed a *bomb* inside his body! A bomb made of the *one, single substance in the universe that can kill him*! I know he did it because he doesn't want to turn Section 8 like the other Superman did, but is this really the solution!? How would his friends feel about the fact that they can kill him with the push of a button!? What if they press it by accident during a mission!? Or what if a bad guy gets ahold of the remote!? I guess the only smart thing he did was to not give the remote to Batman, but even that's very questionable.
smart how lets not give the remote to batman superman bestfriend who both hates to kill and see superman as a brother and would only use the remote is the very last choise
GundamFan527 you are right this ending was dumb i think fit more if they said they bomb ready to use incase it happen and the way to blow it was the JLA taking a vote on using it on him he still has fail safe and alot harder to use so not just one person can say fuck you your dead
Jack Bacon that is smart they dont need to risk the person holding the remote to chock out of fear of not wanting to hurt their friend since they know it will disable him not kill him
+Falcon Windblade Even at the end of Justice League: Doomsday, Batman was asked why didn't he come up with a contingency plan for himself but he said he already had one. "It's called the Justice League"
Nobody gonna talk about the clip of superman being dragged into the phantom zone? That was fucking awesome when I played through the arcade ladder. Just the way that when he finally flies through the portal, it just goes silent, and then you just see him floating off into nothingness in the phantom zone, with no music at all. I love this defeat clip better than the one for when you defeat brainiac in injustice 2
Wonder Woman: “Alright all in favor do not pass it to Batman.” Batman: “I’ve got piece of kryptonite in my belt. Not to mention the numerous amount of crates I have of it in my bat basement. You’re basically denying to hand me a fidget spinner.”
This is almost a haunting note to end the story on. When you consider Batman was one of the only voices of reason when Superman turned… he’s the one who should hold the remote. To deny him a shift is to imply that if the same circumstances were to occur… perhaps no one would press the button. After all, none of the other leaguers would have pressed it in the Injustice universe.
Dumb idea. The Leaguers aren't invincible. Imagine if Doomsday got ahold of that. Or what if the Flash goes rouge? You're taking your biggest weapon out of the fight right off the bat.
Des Ires If the flash went rogue he wouldn't need kryptonite to kill superman. Flash going rogue is the worst case scenario because he would just phase his hand through your skull before you could ever react
Superman was a great hero, a mentor, a protector, a defender, a friend. His Regime doppelganger insulted his life by Joker drugging him and the Regime Wonder Woman poisoning his mind.
no it said Batman was "denied" which means he couldn't get a chance even if he wanted one. (Outside of WW) they all have the same moral code as to none of the members kill, yet they all got a trigger.
Funny Batman wasn't given a shift with the button. Superman would've been rampaging across the universe, all of the heroes would beg of him to press it. And he'd be like, this isn't you Clark!
I don't understand what actually happens to the High Chancellor; he remembers all that have died and then his soul gets stolen, something snatches and him and throws him into the Phantom Zone. Is that was happens?
Batman was denied a shift not because he would kill Superman, but because he won't kill Superman. Either way, you will want to keep that trigger hidden from the villains.
For all of you saying "because Batman doesn't kill", if that was the case, Batman would have refused being offered a shift. However it said Batman was DENIED a shift, meaning the League didn't want Batman to have a shift. So, I'd say it's because Batman's definition of "any sign of instability" is a lot harsher than the others.
If I was supervillain, I'd figure out which Leaguers had a shift with the kryptonite capsule controls, figure out which one of them I could defeat, and then when that Leaguer's shift was up, defeat said superhero, take the controls and kill Superman. This ending doesn't merely give the League a way to stop Superman but any villain a way to do it. They wouldn't even have to bring their own Kryptonite.
Superman took this drastic measure after realizing that no one could stop him in the alternate universe. Even their Batman's plans failed, repeatedly, due to Superman's immense power and influence. In the end, the only one who could stop Superman was... another Superman! Batman was 'denied' a shift, implying he was turned down.I figure he would be tempted to create his own remote, out of trademark Bat-paranoia.
After the end of this game did superman, batman and the other heroes return to their normal universe? Just wondering because you never see the other superman in the injustice 2 trailer.
Supes sometimes is to saint although I love him very much. What if some of the leaguers go insane or get brainwashed. What if some of the enemies steals it as it often happens? than they just kill Superman off. The only last hope for victory. No way he shouldn`t have do that.
Batman's contingency plan with the Kryptonite laser nearly worked. Lex nearly stopped Superman with it, but he was interrupted by other JL members. Batman's contingency would have worked perfectly, but the fact the entire league betrayed him had him have to worry about them as well not just Superman and even so it was a split second from working. Also if you think about it, warping other dimensional Justice League members was sort of a contingency plan, which did work.
A hidden plan that doesn’t involve any killing. This kill switch would go against everything Batman stands for. That’s why they wouldn’t give him a shift. Batman’s hesitation to kill would be far too great.
No the word denied means that they did not let him have a shift. Batman maybe didn't reject a shift, but the league themselves also know Batman wouldn't kill Superman. People don't understand Batman is way too smart too jump the gun without evidence, and Batman already has contingency plans for the entire league specifically created to subdue but not kill. Batman has fought with a mind control Superman before, and has never tried to kill him.
Plot twist: Batman was denied a shift because he had the secret master control which allows the trigger to work ie Batman needs to agree with the tigger.
Yes, Good old bats wont take it because He won't Kill. He Considered Superman his brother in most Comics/TV shows/Films, and even if he didn't, he doesn't kill rivals. Batman created Red Kryptonite because using Green would be too close to killing him, why does anyone think he'd willingly do it?
Batman also likely made a new contingency plan after seeing the alternate universe, a new one that would include preparation for dealing with the league as a whole and not just each individual member. If anything the end of Injustice makes it clear that the Batman does not kill ever. He said even after everything Superman has done, he won't kill him. The fact is that every other league member will kill in critical circumstances, Batman doesn't, even if it risks his own life.
Its arguable. I think Batman is the smartest man because he has shown to be Lex's equal with tech when he needs to be (creating Brother Eye, creating several Super Batsuits, the Insiders Suit, his new eye piece, and the numerous bat gadgets he has, and also his expertise in hacking), but he is a much better tactician, detective and strategist then Lex. Also Bruce was able to outsmart Lex Luthor economically and essentially took over Lex Corp with Wayne Enterprises at one point.
Better keep that final plan secret because it probably won’t be. Once a villain finds out about this, killing Superman would be as easy as clicking a button.
Batman is the world's greatest detective and probably the smartest man on earth, you really think Batman is that stupid that he would jump the gun on killing his best friend. In the end of Injustice, Batman didn't kill Superman even after the events of Injustice when he had the chance to. Batman's moral code is something he would never break. Batman's rule against no killing is much greater then the rest of the leagues. If Batman wouldn't kill Joker, there's no way he would kill his best friend.
it would have been better if the remote was buried in the batcave and needed 4 members to access it like the kryptonite weapon! moot point batman was denied a shift because he wouldnt kill him! unless it was bvs batman then all bets are off!
Either the members knew he's not in the mood for killing or they knew he would press it right away-- just to make sure before Superman even becomes evil.
He'd never do it anyway. No Kill rule means he wont do shit with that capsule thing. Defeats the purpose if he's given a shift so everyone else gets one since they WOULD use it.
Green Arrow didn't die because of Batman's plan at all, and it was in the early creations of the regime. Also there's nothing that said Captain Atom died either. Lex Luthor only died because he decided to use the kryptonite laser himself, however this was not part of Batman's plan and it was Lex Luthor disobeying Batman. Batman is the best strategist in the DC Universe, and has made contingency plans that successfully incapacitated the main JL members, so he is the best at making plans.
Superman would've been lose if people didn't have love him so much -Batman has secure box of krytonite but need JL member to unlock it so it's impossible for him to reach it in time before. -Lex Luthor about to shoot Superman down but got interrupt by Shazam which in turn Shazam got kill by Superman Irony.
Well I'm saying his contingency plan would have worked given it was just Superman, but since the entire JL defected and not just Superman, it didn't work. Also bringing other league members was another contingency plan, which eventually did lead to Superman's defeat. In the end Batman did find a way to beat Superman. If there was no Batman in this alternate dimension, Superman would have kept his reign or terror.
I thought it was the other way around,I thought he was denied a shift because of the events of Tower of Babel and thus Batman was 100% unreliable with such power.
Um yeah just think about this superman can't die. He has "died" so many times in the comic. Actually his deaths means that he entered into a healing coma. But when he gets hit by krypton it'd and it is stuck to his body like a bullet while in red sun radiation he will most likely be in an eternal healing coma
Superman committing suicide is a tad extreme. They could incapacitate him a with a Kryptonite blast of some sort and then knock him out and put him in a cell saturated with red sun rays that negate his abilities. Simple.
Why does this ending show Superman being weak and that humans are being threatened by his presence? This ending should show Superman being stronger and more determined to bring justice. If not through a different system which should be done by the members of the Justice League. The worst part was that Batman was denied access to Superman's trust which could the main reason why Batman Vs Superman happened
The justice league did not use their brains they never thought of is the villians knowing of thay device and pushing it thereself. Plus what if the person with the device had to do battle?
Which failed horribly and got Capt. Atom, Green Arrow, and Lex Luthor killed along with pissing off Superman to the point that he killed Shazam and god knows how many civilians, so yeah no more plans from Batman
That's a nice back up plan you go there Super Man. Would be a shame if a villain got his hands on that remote...
Possibly a idea for the sequel. Superman seemly gets killed off so the forces of light have to fight without the Man of Steel.
MrRiddleAW they will not last
+Steadyquick shazam is as strong as superman
SycoTactician not nearly enough...
Exactly
2 reasons why batman was denied
1 he would have pressed the button straight away
2 because batman's not a killer
+Brad Elliott canonically: the second.
snyder and bat-fan wanabes: the first
Umm. Thats pretty contradictory. But id go with the second.
The Boy Blunder it’s not canon so don’t think to hard about it
Definitely number 2
He wouldve altered the remote to where he always had access to it
So if the Justice League starts to go psycho and Superman's the only voice of reason left then its game over right, if the person on shift has a change of heart in the future he will be the first to die and that alone is gonna send the world straight to hell.
5H4K490 kind of, but if you remove the residual kryptonite from his body he´ll come back, you can´t permanently off superman
i am with you.
"God dammit who ate my ham and cheese on rye?!"
"Oh, sorry Wonder Woman, I didn't know that was yours. I'll buy you a new one-"
"DIE, FIEND!!"
I think the reason he didn't give batman the choice is because batman would NEVER kill superman only subdue he could not be trusted with the responsibility of killing him, him and superman are more than allies, comrades, teammates, there brothers not by blood but by bond and because of this batman could never kill superman
"Only Batman was denied"
Batman: "WHERES MY TRIGGER?!?!?! WHERE IS IT?!?!?!"
They wouldn't give it to an ordinary citizen
Green Arrow: Um. Your no kill rule says hi.
the hesitation to kill is too strong in batman
Sounds ironic coming from you, Slade. lol
Literally in all canon he and Supes are the best of friends
At least Superman decided to come up with this contingency plan himself instead of Batman.
Yeah and the next day, someone steals the remote, kills Superman. THE END.
***** and than doomsday ending happens!
Batman was denied a shift so we the ongoing debate could continue.
Batman doesn’t kill so it makes sense he was denied a shift
I don’t get why people dislike isn’t this what you was looking for
At the very moment of his defeat he finally realizes the cost of everything he's done and that it's effectively been all for nothing because A) He's been defeated and B) Lois would indeed be disgusted with what he's become

Your right it should be filled with gold k which just takes away his powers permanently.
Jack Bacon that is smart they dont need to risk the person holding the remote to chock out of fear of not wanting to hurt their friend since they know it will disable him not kill him
There should have been a "Regime Superman Wins" ending, even if you play as him you still get this ending.
What if another member goes rogue, and they have the button?
Trollovon Flidder That rogue asshole will still have a whole league coming for their ass.

agreed.
I doubt Doomsday would trade in brute force for a remote control.
Superman was a great hero, a mentor, a protector, a defender, a friend. His Regime doppelganger insulted his life by Joker drugging him and the Regime Wonder Woman poisoning his mind.

Maybe, he rejected it? Remember no killing rule.
