One of my favorite recent trends in animation is having couples that have a relationship that's functional, loving, and genuine- but also entertainingly chaotic! Couples like Rapunzel and Eugene, Bob and Linda Belcher, Luz and Amity, Millie and Moxxie, Charlie and Vaggie. If there's ever been a time to recreate Cosmo and Wanda's relationship, it would be now.

I like that this interpretation doesn’t just show that they’re in love but shows you WHY. If Cosmo is just the jerkass idiot he was in later seasons of FOP, you wonder why Wanda would put up with him. In NW you can see him at his best. He can cook, he can dance, he’s supportive and helpful, he loves his wife and son. He might be dumb but he’s a great dude ❤
And Wanda is also a bit of an idiot herself, she's goofy, goes along with her husband's shenanigans and can do stuff as dumb as the stuff Cosmo will do. So yeah they're in love and are two halves of one idiot.
And, as a result, Wanda saying that she married him because he makes her laugh makes sense. Nice to see Cosmo & Wanda acting like a real couple after so many years after they’ve been more arguing and close to divorce levels. I think around Season 4 & especially Season 5 they started getting sick of each other and was kind of like that till the shows end and into Fairly Odder. Luckily A New Wish fixes they’re marriage issues and everted them back to the Oh Yeah Cartoon shorts & Season 1 where they were total lovebirds

I gotta be honest Cosmo and Wanda really behaved like a real married couple in the a new wish series and im very happy about it. I mean in the original Fairly Oddparents series during oh yeah cartoons along with season 1 to 7 they behave like couples but most times in those seasons. Although there some difficultly with Cosmo's idiotic careless actions and Wanda's uncomfortable and demanding (like she said "i not nagging") but those two are still together no matter what because deep down they love each other. While season 8, 9 and 10 well in season 8 there some relationship parts but most special episodes are focused there relationship with Timmy but season 9 and 10 they don't show much relationship apart that there together and all.
They do it so much better here. They come off more like your average dorky middle age parents that just happen go have magic. But the old show went way too hard on the idea they can't stand each other.
The Fairly Oddparents a Brand New Wish has been so Great to watch, Love the Goofy and Sweet moments Cosmo and Wanda have together. Hope this leads to them getting a Season 2 3:45 That look on Anti-Wanda's face turning the Book upside down. 😂

not only did they make cosmo and wanda a loving couple, but im so happy they also have a great relationship with peri. Sure peri gets embarrassed by them, but he also wants to make them proud and genuinely likes their company too. It would have been so easy to make him a bitter villain that wants to rival them, but nah, he's just trying to figure out how to be an adult in his own right
I’m glad cause Wanda and Perri has a great relationship. Wish I could say the same for Ben and his parents Han and Lela, he really hates being overshadow by them and pretty much the reason why he became a villain although Han and Lela clearly love their son.
Might feel like kind of a little thing, but I found it really cute to watch Cosmo, Wanda, and Hazel hang out together as teenagers. :) Speaking of which, it'd be really fun to have a flashback episode about when Cosmo and Wanda were dating.
Yeah, that's another thing. Not only do I love Cosmo and Wanda's chemistry with each other here, I also love their chemistry with Hazel. And I think it's largely due to Hazel being an upbeat goofball with moments of being a cynical straightman on the side, as opposed to the other way around like Timmy. Say what you will about that trope, but I think it really helps the main character and supporting characters come across as equals when done well. While there are a lot of moments of Hazel being confused or annoyed by her fairies antics, there are just as many moments of her taking part in the antics herself. Even the differences between the intro of both this and the original show this. While Timmy is playing along with his Godparents in the first intro, it portrays him as more of an audience member. In NW's intro, there are more moments of Hazel acting as a member of the band, if you will, like when all three of them are linedancing on a piano or when Hazel is playing a drum beat before the wish shoutout part. My favorite example of this is the shot after the wish shoutout part. In the original, it's just Cosmo and Wanda doing a Charleston in suits and top hats. In New Wish, all three of them are dancing in suits.
A few other compalations that I think would be cute: Hazel being cute NW Cosmo being smart NW Wanda being silly Cosmo, Wanda, and Hazel being a happy chaotic family (even if most of my favorite examples are in this compilation series).
The “talking trash” scene is so cute because you can tell they’re just teasing each other and there’s no actual resentment. It would have been way worse in the old show
