Obviously the guy driving the tractor isn't the same guy making payments on it.
Here is the thing. In the floods you cant see the barricades and when you are that far from a place to turn around with a dolly trailer (A normal trailer isnt easy do back up it takes a lot of practice. A dolly trailer is a nightmare to back up) you are at the point where you just roll with it cuz no one would go backing up. If he knew the barricades were there its a difrent story. But if he does it once it isnt a big deal cuz tractors are meant to take abuse (doesnt mean that you should but still)

It's even more impressive display of what happens if complete morons are trusted with heavy machinery. He is clearly not the person paying for maintenance of this tractor.

The sheer number of drivers who have no idea how to handle even a small amount of water on a road is ridiculous. Even the supposed 4WDs smashing through shows people have no understanding of physics let alone practicality.
Yeah, the roofing guy and his truck could have done it easily by just driving slower!
Gullible people are easily brainwashed. They see the adverts showing 4x4s going up the side of mountains while the driver is wearing a little red cocktail dress and they think 4x4 means they're invincible and immortal with god-like capabilities and an accident is absolutely impossible. I see it every time it snows or there's torrential rain. There's always a brace of Range Rovers doing 95mph in lane 3 of the motorway with their fog lights on or driving down an icy slope at full throttle.

Portable pool/puddle. To take with you where ever you travel. Its a comfort thing.
If you turn on the heater you get a nice warm foot bath
I ride a motorbike and just the other day I came across a flooded road and, because I've watched so many of these videos, I actually turned around and went the long way round 🤗🏆🥇
I think between you and these cars, you would have made it. No much different than driving on the motorway during a downpour. No matter of your waterproof clothes, by the time you get home your underpants are going to be wet, this means your bike is full of water too. 5 minutes at 100mph+ and any water would be gone in an instant.

@@wavydavy9816 Smart decision. If you aren't sure that you will pass without damaging your vehicle, it's definitely better to lose some extra time going around and have peace of mind.

It should not, at least not the flood damage. If people deliberately drive into water it's not covered by insurance.

I think that only happens when you think you can gain knowledge by just buying a car. Simply drive slowly into the water and do not flood the air filter....

Insurance won't pay out if you willingly drive into a flood!
What gets me is seeing someone else stuck in the middle of the water and being in an equivalent car with a very accurate depth guage in front (i.e. water up to the number plate) thinking that their results will be different!
Unless your car has a snorkel fitted, and you don’t mind driving a flooded car, don’t drive through floodwater that’s deeper than the centre of your wheels, any deeper will risk flooding the engine
The Range Rover had a snorkel fitted, but it looks like he went so fast that the water splashed up into the top of it.

When you look up hydrolock in the dictionary there should be a picture of the car at 7:30. That's how connecting rods get bent.

If this somehow happens to your car. If it stops in the water do not try to start it again. You should pull apart the air box to dry it out and check it, then pull the spark plugs (in a gas/petrol car) then turn the motor over either by hand or the starter. Once all of the water is out you put it all back together and start praying.
Just removing spark plugs and let it dry is enough, with the engine "hot" the water in the cylinders evaporates really quick, happened to me once and had to let it dry a few minutes.
and hope the engine computer isn't under the passenger floor mat, as my friend found out when he turned his subaru into a scubaru.
This is something I'd never dream of doing ever 🙄. Water will not compress in the cylinders but will people ever learn?. This ideotic way keeps me in work as a mechanic anyway 👍. Thankyou 😉.

I Think BMW should invent "Water Mode" it should shut the engine off when it ios detecting water in the Air inlet at the Engine.

When I was working auto claims in Houston, we would routinely get BMWs with hydrolocked engines because the combustion air intake was low-and BMW drivers figured since they could walk on water, they could drive on it…

It's so ridiculous how they destroy their cars one after the other. Even when the water only just reaches the wheel hubs, they manage to get water into the engine by ploughing through the water like mad and pushing a huge wave in front of the car. It's laughable! 😂
Bet the guy in the bmw was more upset being towed out with such a long rope and not being able to get closer to the vehicle in front.

Very entertaining.Half of these idiots would probably made it, if they drove slowly. And the absolute morons that keeps on turning the key when you got water in the engine, they are even funnier! Instead of taking out the sparks and run the starter a bit, they are bending the rods and need a new engine instead. Fantastic..

This is actually some wholesome Family fun
First off. If you have to drive through water, go slow, not fast. Many of these people would have made it if they didn't try to plow through. Second, if your engine dies while driving through water, so not try to immediately restart it. It most likely infested water and hydro locked. If you keep trying to restart it, the pressure can crack your engine.
To try to restart a hydro locked vehicle, empty water from filter and intake. Remove spark plugs. Turn engine to push water out of the spark plug holes. Let dry out if possible. Re instal spark plugs and try to restart the engine. Turn engine off and stop if any weird sounds are heard.
Honestly, I don't understand these people. I don't have an expensive premium car, "just" an everyday one, but I really love it. I would never drive it through deep water, even if someone paid me to. My heart would break if I damaged or soaked it. It's unbelievable how people don't take care of their possessions, not even their own.
