Out of interest Chinchilla, where was this filmed as I've seen a few claim it's on Menai bridge but it's obviously not, looks more like a rooftop balcony somewhere. Was it filmed the same day/evening as chalk outlines?

I think it's really important to know that Joe had tried to get help. In the week or so before he jumped, he had tried to admit himself to the hospital, but was refused because he was drunk. There were also multiple attempts by his friends and family to help.
Ren's raising of mental health, and that if yourself and other reactors can save lives. Thank you for going a step beyond just a review.

That is absolutely fucked up. Most suicides are committed when under the influence, usually alcohol. That is especially when you should take someone serious.
Watching Ren reactions is addictive, because his music opens people up. And it's beautiful to share that with each other. Shared the goosebumps.

This video was filmed on the Bridge that Joe jumped from. It makes it even that much more powerful and emotional. The last lines kill me. This song ties directly in with "Freckled Angel".

I've seen a few people claim this. Doesn't look like menai bridge though. You couldnt film there as there's always cars crossing over it. I imagine it was probably filmed somewhere in Bristol
No that definitely isn't on the bridge (I live on Anglesey). It looks like the balcony of Dylan's Restaurant which overlooks the Menai Strait, not far from the bridge though.
Chinchilla and Ren together is magic. They pierce the veil. I found Chinchilla thanks to Ren and all her stuff is amazing. "Fingers (live)" is absolute fire. Thanks for this reaction btw!

Love your reaction. This song speaks volumes to anyone who has been so deep down that su*cide actually feels like a logical solution. I cry every time when the Hallelujah part starts. Nothing is pulling me through is such a powerful and desperate line.
Thank you for your heartfelt reaction. As you stated, "How to Be Me," is about Ren's best friend, Joe Hughes, who committed suicide; Ren alluded to it in one of his other songs, stating that he lost his best friend before he was 25. The pain of this loss is evident in a few of his songs, "Freckled Angels" being one examples. It is dedicated to Joe Hughes, who committed suicide on the 27th of December, 2010. Someone else commented that the video was shot at the bridge that Ren's friend jumped from. His body was never recovered.
Their live performance of "Chalk Outlines" is still my favorite song, partly because I can relate to it due to my own daily struggles. Although, losing your best friend to suicide is also something I experienced when I was 19 y/o (almost 38 years ago). “How to Be Me” definitely runs a close second, though. I would also recommend their busking sessions in Brighton, performing “Sexual Healing” (Marvin Gaye cover) and “One Dance / Drunk in love” (Drake/Beyoncé cover); those performances are of a much lighter mood and very enjoyable.
In case you didn't already know, Chinchilla (Daisy Bertenshaw) is 26 years old, from London, UK, and a rising star on the British music scene. She was a supporting act on Sting's 2019 European Arena tour and the opening act for the 2021 McFly tour. Chinchilla has also played some big European music festivals. I was so so stunned by your comment. My soul aches for you.
I just buried my mother in February. Just like every choice she made in life, she very intentionally made this choice too.
My brothers and I have made it this far, and I don't believe any of us thought we would.
Our mama was very sick and she raised us on her own, in spite of her myriad mental health issues. Although it made for a very frightening, desperate childhood, often full of dread, none of us ever doubted we were loved.
I cannot express to you how much I wish for your grief to not strangle your family. I cannot say more earnestly how much I hope that your burdens will be eased.
I sincerely wish for you to find and realize true peace.
My mother told us almost daily that every event that happened to us and would happen in our lives, whether it was joyous or full of despair, was just another in a long string of lessons we, ourselves, had planned out and chosen to learn •with those souls who could teach us these specific things the very best• before we were even born.
We never never lose those who we love. We are tied to one another forever.

Thank you for showing the suicide help line. Many people need to know they aren’t alone. REN’s effect on many of his listeners is so profound and shows us we aren’t the only ones suffering. I have become addicted to his music in just a few weeks.
You should also listen to his band “the big push”. Great straight on rock covers and a few of their own songs. Long way from busking on the streets of Brighton, England. This guy will be huge.

I like the Puscifer hoodie. The last time i felt this way about a musician was hearing Maynard for the first time on JJJ radio back in the early 90s. If it wasnt for reaction videos i'd have never discovered Ren. I like how humble he has been and how thankful he has been towards reaction content creators for introducing people to his work and promoting his songs. It's and oddly symbiotic relationship.

oh you are in Seattle? I lived on top of Queen Anne for 4 yrs going to the Art Institute of Seattle...loved the city, clubbing at the Mercury and Noc Noc (that one sadly doesn't exist anymore) this was early 2000s... left in 2007 after my sister passed.
We used to live in Seattle about 6 years ago…but we were only out there for a few video shoots and a photography workshop I was hosting. We travel around quite a bit.
