    This is a nice video, I want to start my career in the IT field because I have a passion for technology. I'd love to become an IT Support Specialist and it's hard looking for courses, I've read on the internet that people recommend beginners to start with an IT Help desk position. I don't know where to start.

      Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the video! It's really good that you know what you're passionate about but sometimes it's hard to start so I would say that you can get certified first so you can be a good candidate when you're applying for jobs especially if you don't have previous background on the field. I also started from getting certified and learning the skillsets that are required for the job. I would recommend CompTIA A+ and Network+ when you are getting started.

    • @EastCharmer
      @EastCharmer  3 роки тому +6

      I won't say it's horrible but it's not the best but if you want to get in to tech without any experience or background it's the best place to start otherwise you won't be applying for helpdesk if you have an experience already. I myself don't have a good experience tbh especially with users, the system and on call responsibilities where I currently work in now but it all depends in the company. But one thing's for sure, if you really want to get in to tech without much experience, helpdesk is the way to go coz it's the stepping stone if you wanna take a different path and go into other field of tech such as cybersecurity, networking, software etc. It gives you the exposure to different teams and also help you decide which route you want to take. And just get some experience and stay for a1-2 years in helpdesk bcoz it really is stressful and along the way prepare and work on your next path. Goodluck on what you decide to do. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

      Helpdesk usually doesn't. It's tier 1 support so most of the time you'll deal with troubleshooting user issues and when it gets complicated you can escalate to tier 2 and 3 support. But it all depends on the industry too. Some helpdesk jobs are not just helpdesk and would have you do other things such as network administration, virtualization, some data center work etc.
