Your surgeon was so thorough and detailed which is what people should look for when they’re considering a doctor. He wasn’t trying to see how much money he could get out of you by suggesting implants you did not need as compared to the other surgeon. I think you made the correct decision by going to him.
@@Lutifah i think stuff like that is one of the things where you need to weigh up how important optics are against the benefits. is relief from back pain, poor posture, bra bruises and discomfort etc. worth the risk of unaesthetic scarring? is the potential for unappealing scars a deterring factor? generally, you can look at your other scars and see how they've healed. if you're prone to hyperpigmentation or keloids, 9 times out of 10 it will be the same for your breast reduction scar. also make sure you assess the surgeon's portfolio- especially for black/ darkskin women as the neater the surgeons work, the better your scar will heal. finally, bare in mind that a scar is a scar but it will fade over time
@@lisaisaheavy on the make sure u get a surgeon that has experience with a BW or POC, even w/ nose jobs I’ve seen some fire ethnic rhinoplasty surgeries fr ! Ands then u have ur ones that love to do the usual pinched look. I lost over a 100 pounds over the past 2 years and I’m in the process of looking for a br3ast reduction surgeon and I love that she posted this.
You inspire me. I’m in a toxic relationship at the moment and I can’t wait to close this chapter in my life. And working on myself in every aspect to make myself happy and give my children a happier version of me just gives me hope to keep going in life. You are shining and glowing and everything. I hope one day I also find my glow again.
I got my breast reduction done at the time we had HMO, so my surgery at the time cost me basically 10.00. I had to see my primary doctor first and he had to write down all the reasons why I needed the surgery. The doctor put down migraine headaches, and couldn't see what was going on because of fatty tissue. My reasons was insecurities. My family would always talk about my breast and told me my mother should have me get a breast reduction. When it came to my body shape, I took after my mother. I could never get the right size bra to fit me. I could never wear cute tops, I would wear men's XXL shirts. Finally when I started working and got my own insurance, I finally got it done. It took me a long time to heal and in my small town, we only had 2 surgeons who did the procedure. I am so happy I got it done, the first thing I bought was a tank top and Victoria Secret bras and lingerie. They are still sitting up and I was so much more happier.
You are so captivating 🥺 I love your talking videos. I’ve been following you for over 7 years and the way you have and continue to flourish and change is why I am a long time supporter ❤
Hey Arnell! Thanks for sharing your experience! I am glad that you are doing well post-op!!! I just want to add that I will never understand how people can be so cruel and negative in the comments. You present yourself to the world in a positive way…I love that about you! ❤
I got a reduction nearly 6 years ago. Best decision I ever made! Went from a K to D 😅 I also went through insurance and only paid $200 out of pocket. Don’t let the cost scare y’all!
I got my girls done for similar reasons. I would scream it from the mountaintop. I do not regret it AT ALL. Best decision I could have made. My quality of life is so much better.
Thank you for this!! This was soo helpful i can’t wait to get a reduction one day 😭 every woman mentions the confidence boost and that’s what im most excited for!
I got mine done 10 years ago while in college and I never had any regrets to this today. I was told they may grow back, but they haven’t. I also got the feeling in my nipples back fully. Best decision I’ve made!
This doesn’t apply to everybody, but if you have Medicaid in the state of Georgia in South Carolina, you can get a reduction done for almost free. Both of my sisters have went this route.
How were you able to edit your video like this? You’re so clear and vivid yet your background is slightly blurred but still visible… you soooo pretty as well
The nipple is so cute 😂 I’m glad you had a great experience and are happy with your results. The doctor you went to was def a great choice I love how transparent and genuine he was.
I’ve been looking for a dr for a while and this whole decision makes me nervous but I really want it and I would be soo much more confident in my body thanks for the review I’m going to check him out!
My mistake was being excited about the way they looked, feeling extremely confident and I just went wild not wearing bra and just being free especially to sleep and now i regret that part. Also, he’s correct about diet and exercise and do follow all the rules and your girls look amazing
Hi Arnell, I’m years into my breast reduction and I have the same experience as you and you will get back your sensation, you will be able to breast feed because u did my reduction before I had my daughter who is two atm but I do have advice for you. Please continue to wear your surgical bra from time to time and still use your tapes from time to time because your breast grows back after a while, I had mine done at 25 and I’m 36 years old atm , other than that I loved this video and agreed with everything you said and he is definitely correct about everything.
soo happy for you girl!! fellow breast reduction girly here! 💓 the best decision of my life honestly, i dreamt about it since i was 17 and finally did it last year right after my 25th bday. ((JJ to a C/D cup)) It was my first surgery as well, i've never done anything cosmetic so i was soooo afraid but my surgeon and anaesthesiologist was so lovely. I'm still working on my scars bc i got lazy lol but wow game changer fr!
I just had surgery 3 weeks ago for the first time so this is so relatable 😂🥰. Mine was less involved (bunion surgery) but I was also nervous about being put to sleep but GIRL. Best sleep of my life😂😭.
I totally get it, as far as how bad the needle hurt. I always tell people that the worst part of giving birth to my sweet baby was the catheter in your arm when you first get there 😬
So proud of you ❤. I got my breast reduction on January 4, 2024. I’ve gotten use to my new size. Some things I’m adapting too but I don’t regret getting the procedure. I’ve had the same feelings about my size 38k 😅 breasts. It’s been almost a year and I STILL have not been measured 😂. I’ve been wearing the heck out of these sports bras bbaabbyy.
It’s so crazy the pressure they put on you to bounce back then judge you when you do. I gave my self a yr to lose weight after having my son and I couldn’t drop the last 25lbs, I was stuck. So I got on wegovy. Now the same people who were talking ish about me saying I let myself go after having my baby are the same ppl judging me for taking a drug to help. But I feel so much better in my skin so fck it
I had my reduction/lift around the same time in October, but last year in 2023. Mine was covered by insurance! Need to get a revision though, so I'm going to wait until after kids.
2:55 I think some people just don't like seeing women comfortable or confident where they are in life. Misery loves company so they'll want you to feel miserable too whether you change or not.
Happy holidays 🎉 Glad you're happy with your surgery 😊 Now that you said that thing about hair and areolas, my hair is a very noticeable brown & and so are my areolas 😂
Hey Arnell! This does not relate to this video, but I was watching your older videos and I wanted to ask if you would do the “Watch me Recreate “ hair videos again. I really enjoyed those. Thanks! 🤍🌸
I had my breast reduction 3 years ago after having my son and i just had a baby 2 months ago and they didn’t grow back at all but i also didn’t gain a crazy amount of weight during my pregnancy since i was i guess a little heavier already. It was such a easy surgery i would do it again lol.
Your boobs look amazing!!!! I got my breast reduction surgery a few years back I was in love but what I wished my doctor would’ve done was give me the scar tape, I asked and he said I was gonna be okay. I’m dark skin so we are more prone to scarring and more pigmentation so I’m a little insecure about that but I feel better than before. Feels good to walk around with no bra.
I’m in week 3 post op and I’m still in pain but I can’t really explain the type of pain sometimes it’s bad and others I’m fine. It’s really uncomfortable overall but I can’t wait for it to fully heal.
omg i want a reduction so bad!! my girlies are very bottom heavy and while i love them and think they’re beautiful, i would really like them to have a smaller and fuller look/feel. i’m also so tired of back pain lol
I was 36G two sandbags pointing south and that was left over after I lost 40lbs. I have several disabilities, on ssdi, so it was causing lots of pain so my insurance covered entire cost thank you Lord. Had mine done 2021. Fast-forward 2023 rapidly gaining weight gain, but by April 2024 thru June I had rare energy bursts to exercise again, but health got worse then lack of appetite I naturally finished getting back down to 2023 175 weight from 2021 post op. But yep my boobs kept their new weight from my boomerang gain/loss again lol. I'm ok with it though, love mine even more now, but thank the Lord they're nowhere near a freaking G cup! Lol I'm only 5'4 I can't carry no droopy juggernauts on my frame nomo😂 shoot idc about my anchor scares either, being able to sleep without being smothered to 💀 is a blessing frfr. Big boob ladies if you can trust a reduction is so worth it. I was praying I could get one and shol couldn't afford it on SSDI, but God made a way to answer that pray cause I didn't feel comfortable with the look or pain.
I never thought I’d watch a video and relate to a woman about having light nipples😂. No kids yet but for the longest time I was so insecure about having light nips lol. Happy you had a healthy & safe experience!
Dang my boobs look just like you’re a before picture. Same thing happened after my pregnancy. I’ve been struggling with whether or not I’m actually going to go through with surgery. But I really wanna get them lifted and reduced. Thanks for this insight with your experience.
The face card is insaneeeeee omg you look gorg as usual
Yes!!! And camera quality is on point!!
Yes, I nearly died of the beauty when the video started 😍
