As a Bangali we share calendar history but some little bit defferent... We also have "boishak" jasta aashar etc months in Bangali calendar.. our 1st day of year called "poila boishakh" (middle of MAY month) & Now according to the bangali calendar today is 23 falgun 1430

Have tried to find saptarisi calendar & who make that. Just found one talk on youtube about but nothing more. Some kashmiri pandits still maintain that & tradition continue but not able to find them. Anyone has any reference about it, how it works in simple language would love to use it. Currently use Vikram Samvat but still would love to see how Saptarsi calendar work.

it is unfortunate that Indian government still not using and Indian origin calendar(i.e Vikram Samvat) instead of this they are still using a calendar(saka calendar) which belongs to the farsi origin(saka tribe, now days iran then persia or faras). saka calender is 78years new than Gregorian calendar while Vikram Samvat is 57years older than gregorian; as of now this is year 2080(according to vikaram samvat) and 2024 (according to gregorian calendar) and 1944(according to saka calendar). You forgot to mention the calendar that Nepal uses. Nepal uses Bikram Samvat, and it is 2080 B.S. now. Nepal uses it as an OFFICIAL calendar. And we use BS to record all of the historical events. Interestingly, Nepal uses a B.S. for all government documents, like citizenship, fiscal year, budget year, driver's license, etc.

In Bengal We have our own calender Bangabda. Bangladesh also uses this calendar but in slightly different form. There is many controversy who started this calender. Some says Shashanka, some says Akbar, some says Nripati Tilak Hussain Sah.

India mein Gregorian calendar aaya tha, jo ki ab worldwide use hota hai. Ye calendar Pope Gregory XIII ne 1582 mein introduce kiya tha. Is calendar mein saal 365 days ka hota hai, aur leap year mein 366 days hote hain. Is calendar ka use aaj bhi India mein official calendar ke roop mein hota hai.

We use bangabd which is based on Suryasiddhant and it was established by Bengali Shaivite Raja Shashank. Our first month of the year starts with Baishakh month and ends with Chaitra month.❤❤❤

Ashoka the great died in 232 BCE, he was born around 304 BCE.
*King Vikramaditya* the great started reckoning time during his reign which was in 56 BCE. Hence *VIKRAM SAMVAT* came into existence acc. to which the current year is 2080. Nepal is the country that follows VIKRAM SAMVAT

In Nepal we use Bikram Sambhat calender which is hindu calender and our national calender
it is unfortunate that Indian government still not using and Indian origin calendar(i.e Vikram Samvat) instead of this they are still using a calendar(saka calendar) which belongs to the farsi origin(saka tribe, now days iran then persia or faras). saka calender is 78years new than Gregorian calendar while Vikram Samvat is 57years older than gregorian; as of now this is year 2080(according to vikaram samvat) and 2024 (according to gregorian calendar) and 1944(according to saka calendar).
A Hard and brutal fact nepal a hindu country still uses vikram samvat despite the vikram samvat was given by samrat vikram aditya of ujjain(madhya pradesh, india) and our own indian goverment still using a saka calender which is of iran(faras or saka)origin

You forgot to mention the calendar that Nepal uses. Nepal uses Bikram Samvat, and it is 2080 B.S. now. Nepal uses it as an OFFICIAL calendar. And we use BS to record all of the historical events.
Interestingly, Nepal uses a B.S. for all government documents, like citizenship, fiscal year, budget year, driver's license, etc.
