Hi , I am new makeup artist . I have fixed my rates reasonable even then some clients pay me but some say it's expensive for them , if I don't lower the rate they don't come . How can I fix my rates .
I'm a bridal artist, and am wondering if I've raised my rates too high. I have a lot of experience and use luxury products, but I work in the Midwest, where people don't charge nearly as much for makeup. I think I'm worth my rate, but if I'm not getting inquiries does that mean I'm too expensive for my area? (For reference, the low end of makeup here is $65, my competitors are charging $90 +$10 for lashes, and i charge $100 with lashes and other extras included). Thank you for the video!
From what you're telling me it could be a lead generation issue. Meaning if you aren't getting inquires, you might not have the right people following you, or the people you want to book you don't know how to find you.

Great question. I am actually going to create a separate UA-cam video specifically about this! Stay tuned.

@@FreelanceWithFreedom I think I would tend to agree. I'm struggling with where and how to advertise to brides in my area.
