Such mixed feelings... I used to be a huge Moment fan, but after my last "Filmmaker case" for my iPhone 11 Pro literally disintegrated (twice! The upgraded replacement fell apart as well) and now with my new iPhone 14 Pro case and, after waiting two months for the drop-in lens mount to finally arrive, my Moment 1.33 Anamorphic lens for some reason is showing black shadows on the edges of my footage; like the drop-in mount doesn't fit the case right, or the lens doesn't fit the mount right, I don't know. Also, has the app actually been updated to allow anamorphic still photos to be desqueezed? This has always been a thing I was disappointed with the Moment app (I just tried it a couple of days ago, and it doesn't. I'll check for another update.)
Beatsgrip seems to be a better choice at the moment. They released a new Tele lens and their lenses are compatible with iPhone 14 Pro's larger sensor, while Moment's lenses have started to feel outdated because they can't cover the sensor fully on the 14 Pro

Ah, same. I've always had Pixel series phones, currently on the 6a which won MKBHD's camera poll and all, and I own every phone lens Moment has created up to this point! Unfortunately, they haven't made a lens case for the 6a, and I always hear that their cases are getting worse and worse in quality. So now my lenses are merely expensive ornaments and I'm out of the Moment ecosystem not even by my own choice!
my S9+ official moment case bayonet mount got disintegrated only after occasional use for around 6 months of usage. then, opted out for rhinoshield's case w/ superior protection quality & replacable lens mount... until they discontinued them both.
Actually I have a question! If I shoot videos by iPhone’s native camera app with anamorphic lens then will it decrease the video quality or it will make the video bad looking for 16:9 shot?

Pretty cool but way too much barrel distortion for my taste. I'd definitely choose the 1.33 over the 1.55. If I already had th original I'd consider getting this one for creative effects
Using the 1.33x on the XS Max since 2018 and been a joy using it but the edges are often blur and soft. My question is, does this 1.55x future proof for the next iPhone 2023 and beyond??
Unfortunately any footage I’ve taken from the moment app I consider to be unusable because I can’t get stabilization to work. It’s all jittery. Is the moment app unable to use the iPhones stabilization? Please let us know!! :)
You've seen it in the video, you need either very steady hands, an active gimbal or a rig/mount that allows to hold the phone steadier. I use a gimbal.
That's what happens when phone designs change drastically every year. Companies have a hard time keeping up, to the point that they'll just stick with the phone with the more consistent design, and a sizeable userbase that pays well. Guess which checks all the boxes. It's taxing for developers and designers to invest in redesign every year for a bunch of people who, statistically speaking, aren't going to make them breakeven.

Like the super wide format, crazy flares but not so much the distortion, the og 1.33 anamorphic is more for me. Although really wish there was a cheaper way to ship ‘just’ a lens mount (to UK). Bummed that they’re not bundled with case, had to wait longer than expected for 14pro case that tagging on the mount would have made for an agonisingly long wait. Until I decide what to do my 1.33 is sat in camera sling, still 😞
Sorry I won't invest more in your phone lenses. I got all of them, but since the pixel 6 cover was so bad, and that you then stopped on pixel 7 making the attachment option. I'm opting out. And I feel stupid for investing so hard in your products. I am a fan, but you are not showing a future where Pixel is on board. I'm out.
Got my Pixel 6 cover replaced 3 times, because the lens mount brakes so easily. The last time I even paid the shipping and taxes because you didn't want to cover it all. I feel you ignore that the Pixel series over and over has won people's heart for it's great camera. I bought in to moment because you showed multiple Pixels covers. But then stopped on 7. Now I'm not so sure what I have invested in. The trust is gone, and I won't change to apple, while I love the Pixel. I can only hope that my Pixel 6 lives a long life, with bad covers. Since the 7 is a dead end for my investment.

You can't shoot RAW and anamorphic at the same time in our app, since RAW format totally untouched files. So you nailed it, if you want all those MP's you'd have to desqueeze in post!
What if you have a gimble thou?? There’s an app specific to the gimbles. So if you use the moment lens you gotta choose which camera app to use which sucks because I was going to use the gimble with the moment lens
Will this work with the bigger sensors seen with iPhone 14 pro or pixel 7 pro? I have the older v2 lenses and on the iPhone 14 pro max , the image isn’t crisp anymore and the vignetting is very apparent now. Thank you.

At the moment, I have decided not to purchase any new lenses since it seems the iPhone's main camera sensor on the pro models seems it will get another physical change per the leaked CADs from case manufacturers for the upcoming iPhone 15 pro/max. Also in 2024, an ultra version will come out and dont know if the sensor on that will be bigger than the "normal" pro models at that time.
What video editing software/app are you using? I just took video with the 1.33 anamorphic lens ….it looks great! But when I put it the software and complete a video, it changes aspect? The anamorphic effect is gone
5:13 i had an anamorphic lens before, lots of the footages ended up in an unwated distorted way like at 5:13 because of the tiny rotation of the lens, a squre shape would ended up like a parallelogram, i have to manually correct them in post
We created a 67mm Lens Filter Mount that lets you use filters with any of your Moment lenses. 62mm used to the standard until iPhone 13 came along and we needed to increase it to 67mm
I film my grandsons baseball games on FB live. My Iphone 8 did a great job. I have an Iphone 13 and it is not so good it appears it goes out of focus or transfers between lens. I am not a camera guy, Will this lens view the field of play frpm a chain link fence behind home plate and not blur? Thank you.

What about iphone stabilization conflict with this lenses which leads to corners wobbling forcing you to shoot with gimbal with stabilization off on iphone?
i think using an iphone for this type of photography is just an issue considering all the post processing it does. not sure if the other apps can turn all that off to get as close to rec footage

It makes me nervous that they didn’t accommodate for the larger sensors on the 14 pro since all the footage shown was shot on a 14 plus.
