I grew up with Nirvana in my teens and now seeing Kurt's daughter into reading books makes me happy to see.. Bless your heart, Frances. Your father would certainly be proud of his girl.
Not really..have had enough lesbian friends in my time have children using a turkey baster and a friendly ' donation'.. Got nothing to do with marriage & love these days dearheart!
Kurt left something very beautiful behind... YOU !!! Part of kurt is still here on earth. Love you Francis Bean. Hug. I want to know more about you. Im a huge fan of your dad. Kurt forever.
I love how she has a thirst for knowledge and appreciates all the little things in life. Kurt loved literature and was obsessed with the human anatomy from a young age. He loved to read (Perfume by Patrick Suskind was his face ever book; I've read it and it's fantastic) and to play around with words and loved looking in charity shops for little forgotten treasures. Frances is very much like her father but also a huge credit to herself. She is a beautiful, pure soul X x
Its refreshing to see someone in the "spotlight" talk about reading and the books they love. Hopefully you've inspired more people to read recreationally.
Your dad is no doubt so proud of you. He seemed to love books, music and was fascinated with pop culture. You sound a lot like him in the way you inflect your words as well. That’s the Cobain gene. I’m sorry that you never got to know him.
She should of made her father proud, she should of died when she was born, she should of worn the crown of thorns, she should of stood out in a crowd. She should of been a son.
I'm so glad she didn't turn out like her mom. Although Courtney is intelligent, she's not a good person. Frances seems to be resilient person and not damaged or screwed up from all the terrible things she's had to endure.
I used to know Courtney AKA Michelle as we knew her in Liverpool nearly 4 0 yrs ago when I was only 15 or so myself..Believe me I agree with every word you say here ,I gave her a fab of acid once and she was the biggest pain in the worse & tripping someone crying ,hitching & moaning is pure hell! She pissed so many people off ,look on Pinterest there's some photos of her in Liverpool if your interested.
I can't even describe how unbelievably adorable you are Frances! Your dad would be so proud. You have his intellectual and humble mind. Peace and love.
I love her. I am a writer and I created a character named Aslin she’s still in the works but I choose a Face Calm which is basically a person who the writer thinks suits the character. You close your eyes and you picture them and when creating Aslin. Frances was the first person that popped in my head for her. From the way she looks to the way she acts. I doubt Frances or anyone who really matters will ever see anything I write but I’m just glad she inspired me to create a character like that which is not easy. Bringing a character to life is hard to do.
Holy crap. She sounds so educated. It's like she spent all of her time reading and going to school. It's literally the opposite of shooting herion and writing music all day. Maybe we should be praising her as an individual and not where she comes from. All of you should be praising her.
Sammy Mem'Star. Frances did do drugs. Sh just celebrated 2 years of sobriety recently. She and her mother bought drugs together and had them delivered.
It’s nice to see someone excited about books 📚 for a change . Thanks for sharing . I want to get some of those books !!! Francis sorry people can’t just appreciate a fun video without Trying to compare every move you make or every thought you have to your dad . Shit you are your own person !!! You are you because of you !!! And I think your very fun and interesting all on your own just saying 🙂
Gotta love Vincent Price. Those Hammer films he made in the 60's are great. I love The Pit and the Pendulum in particular. Can never go wrong with Poe. I've heard he's put out quite a few gourmet cook books as well. Vincent Price that is lol.
God I wish I loved reading as much as she does. No book can seem to hold my attention when I can just go on UA-cam, and watch a 2 hour documentary on a topic, or watch a movie. Am I just lazy? 😂
You are incredible Frances Bean of Cobain.. I have so much love for you. You are an amazing artist.. I like to think I am too.lol. Thank yaaaahhhhh
Yay! a fellow bookworm. I love reading but i have no space so i spend lots of time in bookstores. You must read classics, like Kafka, 1920s lit by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Great Gatsby and his other works. Earnest Hemingway is one of my favorite authors, The Garden Eden is kind of decadent but a great summer read and also A Moveable Feast. I have yet to read The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms. For a bit of classical literature I would suggest The Metamorphosis by Apuleius, The Satyricon by Petronius, The Greek tragedies/comedic plays. I do like Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote. The novel is different than the film i think a bit darker, but still its a great read. I cannot say what my favorite book is because it depends on my mood but i still like childhood favorites like Charlottes Web, Little Women and Anne of Green Gables. Read on!
i have really read so little . but i read some earnest hemingway. he does not appeal to me. i think you really have to be male to appreciate him in my humble and limited opinion...the bullfighting and macho stuff and all that. i read 'to have and have not' and the racism and sexism really screamed at me so loud i found him intolerable and his writing style is so non lyrical and matter of fact. everyone has their taste i guess. i would not recommend him to a young woman at this point in history but that is just me.
I love architecture as well Francis! check out Frank Lloyd Wright and the Art Deco movement. I also like Japanese architecture. Black trim, bonsai trees and red doors. Very peaceful to the eye. You can find a slew of them on Lake Washington. Fyi, Seattle is my second home. I actually grew up in Silverlake/Los Feliz east of LA. Oh! find a book on Newspaper Empire William Randolph Hearst and The Hearst Castle. You're a book worm like your beloved father. He kept warm and made good use of his time in the Aberdeen Public Library.

He was 79 at the time he wrote the book. But it was written like a young adventurous boy that's mind could of been slightly slower then average. The book is actually a treasure map that leads the one who can figure out the clues in it to a trove of gold, diamonds, rubys and ancient coins. He has is own unique way of writing. So refreshing seeing a rich celebrity flexing with their books instead of houses and cars. Her dad would be proud.
Matthew 5:9 I’m sure you wouldn’t say that to the face of someone who lost a father to suicide. Have a bit of decency.
@Town1976 that is a controversial statement and you know it. he loved her and he never would have left, that is my opinion.
