I think it's obvious that they cheaped out on this one. In terms material qualities and design it's clear they spent less time on these compared to the Adipower 1. It may be more flexible but making a flexible shoe just means that it would have cost them less to do.
I use Powerlifts 4 and love them. They are so comfortable. So if these offer a little higher heel without feeling like I'm wearing high heels, I'm sold!
adidas please make a remake of adistar model from '08 with wooden hell, that will sell like crazy and I know adidas sometimes release remakes of older soccer shoes from the 90's and 00's

I know a lot of Adidas shoes tend be promote supination by being laterally sloped to the outside side of the feet, which as an oversupinator is the reason I don't wear Adidas usually, even though I really like their designs.

I wear an 8 in nano 9s and bought size 8 in my Romaleo 3's before they got stolen from my work locker... I will report back after I receive my adipower 2's and nano X's (both size 8) and list how they compare. I also wear nike metcons in size 8 but they're small feeling

I got these from Amazon back in January for $43 in white (size 13 😋) but I hated that you could see the yellow from inside and I just didn't feel they were better than my powerlift 4s or my romaleo 3s. They are popping up so cheap again and that black/black is so sexy that I am rewatching reviews to make sure I made the right choice. Haha

@09:55 your feet look really unstable. Part of that is it's heavy, but the other part of it is the shoe gives when it shouldn't. This is a hard pass. It's very obvious this is not.a shoe designed for weightlifters as things like 'ground feel' and 'response' aren't things that are important for the biathlon. Stability, secure, glued to the floor, are terms I'd use the previous Adidas.
Adidas pulled a low blow like Nike did in the romaleos 3s. $200 for both models we’re poorly designed for being labeled as weightlifting shoe. Nike’s transition from the 3XDs to the Nike Romaleos 4 is just excellent (True to size for both models). My size for the 3XDs and the Romaleos 4s is 10.
I bought these ans they're nothing like my romaleos 2 or adipower 1. It's crazy to call this a lifting shoe lol. I look like lord farquad with the shoe. The design is ugly asf. I can't believe they're catering to crossfitters. They've got the powerlifts for those this should've been specifically for heavy squats.

Gustavo Alonso RG Adipower 2’s are Olympic weightlifting/squat shoes, while Metcon 5’s and Nano 9’s are CrossFit shoes which are good for all-purpose weight training. It’s fair to compare Metcon‘s to Nano’s, but not to Adipower’s because they are a different category of shoe altogether.
Got these and they are the cheapest god dam thing! And I only need shoes for support for pronated ankles... THESE MAKE IT WORSE WTF they're slanted inward

Put them on for a total of 5 minutes. Too light. Feel no support at all compared to other lifters.

Actually I’d say it’s a pretty good shoe for CrossFit, and not so much for powerlifting and weightlifting.
