Always great when you put up a video. I watched a record store live video on UA-cam that at the end of the day they had the Burning Love lp sitting in the bin and I couldn’t get it lol.
Great to see Richard 👍🏻 I passed on the MSG / FTD ... But got The Making Of Blue Hawaii 💙....no regrets on it what so ever ( close to my heart ) ...long story 😊 Got my Elvis is Black vinyl set today....how incredible is that set ! Defo a must have 👍🏻 Cheers Mate 🥂
And that’s also okay. I have several releases multiple times. I just decided this one wouldn’t be one of them. I have single CD release, vinyl single, gatefold & 180g releases, PFAP box set and so on. I just felt like this one wasn’t special enough to warrant a purchase. Those that bought it, including you, got a good product I’m sure and are happy with it. I’m also happy I passed.
@@TheElvisWorkshop I hear ya! I’ll say the upgrade isn’t as significant as the Aloha. It sound a bit better than Prince imo, but only by a small measure.
Nice to see you back Rick and glad you got one of the RSD albums. I also thought it was strange the live How Great Thou Art was on there. I also got the new FTD’s and they are great but very pricey. All the best mate and looking forward to one day soon checking out an antique store or two with you!
Agreed. The Madison Square Garden release was a pass for me as well. And the Blue Hawaii set is ridiculously expensive. I love a lot of the FTD releases but I don’t buy everything they put out just because it’s FTD
Yes. As I said in the video I passed on it, but I saw more than one review that said there was a tape speed issue with the press conference CD. I haven’t heard it myself, but I trust those sources.
Sorry, but we DON'T complain too much when it comes to mistakes. And the amount of product we're offered is quite irrelevant to that. Accuracy should be the goal first time, EVERY time. Leaving off Ronnie Tutt once was inexcusable, twice was offensive. As for the MSG set, it was redundant. There's no appreciable difference between it and the PFAP set mixes. And who even needed or wanted the interview anyway? It plays too slowly. No excuses for that. Disc 3 would've been better served with a remix of the June 9 show. The next FTD project should be Elvis In Concert: the original album plus Omaha and Rapid City. And how many FTD concerts have been released at the wrong speed? Too many! I support FTD, but there are too many failures.
I agree on all points and that’s my usual position. I just thought in that moment that we have a lot from EOT & that maybe we’re, as a fan base, a bit spoiled. Think of all the other artists that don’t get what we get. FTD messes up nearly every release, but we as Elvis fans have a private record label just for our artist. We’re very fortunate to have the access to the stuff we have. I take issue with exactly nothing you said. You’re totally on point.
Grrrreat new picture on the wall and really like your shirt.

Thanks Paul. I appreciate you watching.
is your microphone working… or is just a prop ?
Odd question. Watch the video….I mention it.
I think the FTD MSG sounds amazing. But I can understand the pass. I gambled and got one I’m happy with it

@Paul Gwyn too slow.
@@TheElvisWorkshop Mines on the way. It’ll be the last FTD I get if it’s-a Miss.
@Paul Gwyn I pre-ordered the FTD about a month ago and still haven’t received it.
