I love how you did the floorplan here Kayla! It's nice that the entry doesn't put you right in the living area and that the bathroom isn't either. This floorplan makes so much sense, it could be a real house.

tbh when I'm building I don't mind clipping in landscaping just because like, its leafy and irl trees will hang over the top of roofs or flowers will grow in tree roots that kind of stuff, but i get why it'd bother simsie. I really love this house! Brick houses are so lovely looking :)
New challenge. Pick at least 4 people and have them choose say 3 items for each room of a house build without letting them see what everyone else has picked then you have to decorate the house using the items they chose and they have to be in the room they put it in you can add items to the room your self but no more then the same amount of items they chose. They can choose decorations, floor colors, wall colors or any thing but you have to use them. (The outside is included in the "rooms") would love to see just how crazy the build would turn out.
for the roof rule, i think it should be considered as "placed" once you start moving the camera after adding the roof. maybe for the other build mode stuff too (like rooms, walls and columns)?

So I don't think that the wallpaper mistake should stay the way it is, because forst of all the wall was already painted, so if anything it is cheating to put the blue over it, and also it was a glitch so it shouldn't count. The sims 4 is glitch like that I have this problem all the time while building you paint the wall a d suddenly it will also paint the other side of that wall two, even tho you weren't even teaching it! But what is cheating in my opinion is the fancy gate. The face was already drawn! You can't just delete a chunk!

Accessories The idea behind this is that you'd be basically building a house in the order that it is constructed in real life. Like this so @lilsimsie sees it.
This might depend on where you are but in my neighborhood a new house is currently being built and the only things finished are the foundation,roof and exterior walls (I haven’t seen the inside so I don’t know if the interior walls are built) so again possibly depends on where you are or what type of house your building

I’m terrible at modern style. I’ve never been a fan of the modern style and don’t have modern homes in my town or towns surrounding me but The Sims 4 gallery has made me love modern homes now hahah

Good effort. The house turned out great really. I'd probably download it, make a few adjustments and play in it 😊Gameplay wise I always love one story houses. You did make a tiny mistake though, you placed the fence and then removed a piece of it to make the fake entrance, but we won't hold it against you, it's all in good fun anyway.
Challenge idea: you have to use every single swatch of an item when building a house So say you’re doing a bedroom, you have to use every swatch of a single bed, so you end up with 8 bedrooms
It’s not a no change challenge, it’s a no mistake challenge. So everything she does is supposed to be on purpose and the final decision. So that can’t be changed back.

mistakes happen, and sometimes you can't change them! but challenging yourself to work with them can make you think in different ways and come up with ideas you might never have thought of before

Video Idea - Random Swatch challenge! Use the plus and minus keys to filter through swatches, but first use a random number generator to see how many times you have to click! Whatever swatch the number of clicks lands on, you have to use for the item!
Kayla, I don’t think your try at the challenge was bad at all! Sure there were some flaws, but nothing is perfect! I honestly would have done way worse at this challenge since I’m super clumsy and I have a higher chance of accidentally misclicking and making a very stupid and drastic mistake. I’m not nearly as talented as you when it comes to brainstorming builds so I would make a mistake everytime I place something, build walls, etc. and would want to cry about it. Please don’t be so hard on yourself, you’re gifted with talent! ❤
It is honestly infuriating to watch Simsie think through floor plans sometimes. None of them are practical in ANY sense 😂 Like a kitchen that leads into a living room with the dining room on the opposite side??? in what universe?
She definitely approaches it as a sims UA-camr and not as someone making plans for an actual house. When you design an crush house you do the floor plan first then the outside to make everything fits right and you don’t have weird spaces but Kayla always does the outside first and then tries to shove a floor plan into the shell she already created.
I haven’t finished watching the vid in fact I’m only at 7:03 but ik something she could do with that square she could have made it into like a closet for storage? Idk it’s what I thought of and I wanted to share it!
