I love the front door. You got a good deal. Good job on the tyvek, nice and smooth. And I love the music. What a great change to your format and we still get to enjoy the two of you building your home. It's really coming along now with the windows going in. You can almost move in soon. Yay!!
Good job guy's ! Ready to start the insulation 👍My friend once you have the insulation in & a woodstove you got it made :) The winter won't seem so bad ❤
It will be a great milestone to get your home dried in! I hope the weather is on your side at least until you get the metal sheets on your roof! Will you be putting in a wood stove?
@@SeanInAlaska yeah he does a lot of good music. I'll try to share more in upcoming videos. He has 3 songs based on a Truman Capote book that I also love but they are a little dark for our channel.
There’s a channel called red poppy ranch and he runs a rope through the tyvek and drills a hole in a 2x6 cut off off to hold the role up while he unrolls it. Works pretty good
@@georgemurphy9910 yeah we have 10 eve vents and then a full ridge vent that all flow through the same large attic cavity. I really think that's enough, but if not it will be very easy to add a gable vent to each side.
shouldnt seal center of roof for ventilation, use a peak vent or if you leave tape use gable vents...condensation is huge here..cold and warm air contacting creates moisture. insulate flat part and allow trusses to stay same temp as outside or you get mold in attic. put r-60 on ceiling flat part..roof vents are key.. I just wanted to let ya know cause I saw the red tuck tape..
@@Andy-zj3dc that's just temporary until i put on the roof vents. The plywood was already cut back, just lapped the vapor barrier over it and then cut it out when i finished the roof. I did that to keep the inside dry while i was sealing the floors knowing rain was in the forecast. So there are eve vents and a ridge vent that runs the full length. Thank you though for the solid advice. Next video shows the ridge vent install coming out any day now
Hey just a suggestion for both of you Quick Fix to make yourself feel better if you're sick 3 inches of warm water and a thousand milligrams of vitamin C and Theraflu make them both together in the same glass slam it and I'll start feeling 10 times better it works for me every time been doing that for years and never had a problem plus I also drink sleepy time tea LOL
Just a suggestion if you ever get a chance looking to getting a DJI osmo 4 and also the Sony zv1 you have more options with Sony with lenses also you can get like the ZB 10 but the zv1 is great for vlogging and videoing the osmo 4 is way better than GoPros they don't have overheating problems and also they can do low lighting filming
@@jasonkelly9373 we did get the osmo 4 and are slowly learning to use it. We also use our Nikon Z sometimes. Then in addition we are looking to get the insta360. Eventually we'll have a better set up and be good at using it. I always thought GoPro was a good camera, but after using it a lot i realize they are garbage.
