This video, and others like it have been a great help in planning my summer adventures. You really can't tell what a park is like by their website, so hearing the honest opinion of someone who has been there is great. Algonquin should be on everyone's list. You could spend the rest of your life exploring it, and still not see it all. We love Arrowhead - awesome beach, and, easy accessible trails.Charleston Lake north of Gannanoque is nice too, as smaller park on a smaller lake that's a nice paddle. But for me, the King is Bon Echo. Maybe because I've been there more than any others. Not quite as old as Algonquin, but almost as much history. A nice shallow beach if you have little ones too. It's breathtaking it the fall, but can be busy at times.
You need to go to Bon Echo! Deepest fresh water lake (Mazinaw ) in Ontario and head waters of the Mississippi River.. Enjoyed your vid - some parks I’d never even heard of👍🏻
I think that Bon Echo would have been on your list if you’d ever been there. I agree with Killbear, one of our favourites, and there are several on this list that we hope to visit in the future.
Interesting list and great photos. There are so many amazing parks and trails in Ontario to explore and we will be hitting some new ones this summer too. Thanks for the information.
My dad and I built it. For the frame, I used barn board bought from Home Depot and for mounting, I used a thin hardboard and spray adhesive. It's not perfect, but I like it. :)
Ahh I've been looking for something like this. Thanks for the great summary. Planning my 2021 camping season you have given me more ideas. Grundy Lake is one of my fav sites as well.
Grundy Lake is one of the best parks in the province. As a kid I would go two to three weeks every summer. I got lucky and was able to get a site along Gurd Lake in Hemlock for Labour Day weekend this year.
Great overview of the various parks. Like others have said you need to "pump up the volume". I was at max and had to strain to hear you. Thank you for sharing your experience of the parks. I will definitely try to get to some on your list.
The beauty of Silent lake is that it allows you access to Kawartha Highlands park--30 minutes down the road as well as Egan Chutes prove park. Of the plus 40 we have done, I feel Killarney. Mississagi, and, gulp, Algonquin are the best all round for hiking, scenery, canoeing and local attractions.
My passion as well, love our provincial parks. Hit Agawa Bay last year. Heading to Quetico this season. Will be staying at 6 new parks for us. Can't wait. Take care.
Check out Long Point on lake erie- amazing beaches and campsites ! Massassaugua near parry sound is also great for inland lake seclusion (Fairly new too).
I loooovvvve Ontario Parks!! I moved from Quebec 5 years ago and I’ve camped in about 10 so far. Voyageur is close to me so it’s my Go to. My favorite is Chutes so far (I love waterfalls). I’m going to Algonquin and Killbear this summer!! Very excited!
That's so awesome. Chutes is pretty cool! I've only visited on a day trip when it was pouring rain, but I still loved it. Killbear is such a great park! I hope you have an awesome time there.
Restoule (love this one..do the Fire Tower trail! ), Samuel de Champlain (again, great trails and a museum to explore) and Mashkinonje PP. Mashkinonje is a non-operational, day use park, and getting a little over grown, but for bird and wildlife watchers, it's absolutely wonderful. Thank you for your list. I will be adding them to my must see list !
My all time favorite park is Restoule Prov park, amazing hiking trails private sites , great beaches.... Love it there. Also it's really tucked into the forest, nowhere near any Hwys. 👍👍
Wouldn't you know I haven't been yet! I have it on my list to visit this summer. (That is if I can get a site!) I'm sure it'll be on my favourites list though!
What a fabulous video and you are absolutely delightful
Thank you for sharing this!
Oh, and as a photographer, those are some wonderful photos.
Great video! Killarney will always be my ultimate. The La Cloche range takes my breath away each time.
I went to Killarney for the first time this year, and I LOVED IT. I made a video about it!
You really need to dial up the sound volume,I had it on max and could hardly hear you. Great photos .
Sorry about that! The audio went wonky on me. Future videos will be better! And thank you!

Wow! Thanks for this video. I did not know there were so many parks in Ontario.
Have been to most of these parks. We are so fortunate here in Ontario.

Yes! I actually went to Bon Echo after this video was made and loved it! I have a video on it!
My personal favourite is Sharbot Lake and with Silver Lake less than 10km away that’s one not to miss (as the bathrooms make me think I’m glamping?)
I think that Bon Echo would have been on your list if you’d ever been there. I agree with Killbear, one of our favourites, and there are several on this list that we hope to visit in the future.
Yes! I went to Bon Echo shortly after this video was made and I loved it. (I made a video all about it!)
Great list but craigleith??? I hated it for pretty much all the reasons you listed haha how many PP have you been to now?
Interesting list and great photos. There are so many amazing parks and trails in Ontario to explore and we will be hitting some new ones this summer too. Thanks for the information.
Where did you get your wooden frame, I have the scratch map you have as well. Also what size is it?
My dad and I built it. For the frame, I used barn board bought from Home Depot and for mounting, I used a thin hardboard and spray adhesive. It's not perfect, but I like it. :)
featured video is not part of Grimsby.

That's super exciting! Are you doing a whole Northern Ontario trip? You're right, Agawa Bay is absolutely stunning.
No Restoule.?
Check out Long Point on lake erie- amazing beaches and campsites ! Massassaugua near parry sound is also great for inland lake seclusion (Fairly new too).
Yes, Long Point has great beaches! I'll have to check out Massasauga!
@@MyWanderingVoyage Reach out if you make it to msgua... we're round the corner, and dinner on us :)
I love camping too
Killarney provincial park is a real gem !

When you go during the winters are you hot tenting? Or using a cabin? Super cool!
So far, just yurts! I'm hoping to try a hot tent at some point soon!
You lost me at Silent Lake. The park is anything but silent being just metres away from Hwy 28.
Sandbanks and Long point are also special !
Yes! Those parks sound fabulous. I've been hoping to hit up Restoule and other eastern Ontario parks this year.
important contents but volume too small. couldn't hear clearly.
Nice work. Love everything about camping. Lot to explore in ontario
There really is so much to explore!
You have to visit Killarney!! So pretty year round. That's my fav.
Yes! It's been on my list for a while, I definitely want to dedicate a single trip to go there. :)
Thanks for the video! Definitely check out Pancake Bay if you can - it is one of our favourites!
Yes! Pancake Bay is wonderful! It's a surprisingly large park!
My all time favorite park is Restoule Prov park, amazing hiking trails private sites , great beaches.... Love it there.
Also it's really tucked into the forest, nowhere near any Hwys. 👍👍
Volume?
Yea, the audio got a bit wonky after exporting. Never fear, the next video will be better.

An Ontario list without Killarney?
Wouldn't you know I haven't been yet! I have it on my list to visit this summer. (That is if I can get a site!) I'm sure it'll be on my favourites list though!
