As we all know, speeds are most fun when you can no longer measure them in normal units and have to start using silly ones like Mach. That's really peak performance right there.

Curious how forward swept wings like Su-47 and X-29 work in Flyout. I'd imagine it be a challenge.

It can be challenging! the reverse sweep on the leading edge leads to some rather unusual sideslip characteristics. FBW is the best way to get around this by introducing artificial stability.
Would love to see the twin engine su47 with forward swept wing tried.

I think it compresses a lot at high speed because you were above mach 1, aerodynamics kind of change in mach combat and deltawings are known to compress at high speeds bc they are basically a dart with 2 fins at high speeds
My suggestion for improving this would honestly be to make it a bit longer (for more fuel capacity aside from the drop tank) and making proper canards (ala the Saab Viggen).
Also, for a late 1960s/early 1970s aircraft, a reasonable load out would be to double the amount of sidewinders and triple the amount of AMRAAMs (although Sparrows would be more accurate for the time period).

I would use a subscription as blackmail piece for a specific type of video but all I want is more Flyout so I'm happy and subscribed anyway.
Btw - for the jet engines, as far as I'm aware for maximum power you want to set the 'tip speed' to as close to mach 1 as you can without going above it. No downside to putting up to 0.99 mach, and only means the engine makes more power, if what I've been told is correct.
For future ideas - maybe you could try taking a dive into the world of Flyout Stealthed planes, take a whack at doing some weapons bays, low RCS, etc.

To be fair, fighter jets are supposed to be unstable, they use great flight computers to remain "as stable" to the pilot but the instability makes them very manoeuvrable

You said you don’t like the cockpit, imo the size and shape is fine but if you move the whole cockpit up so it starts higher and sticks out more, giving more rear visibility and leaving space for a slightly bigger nose, it would be perfect
It would be very cool to se a light jet fighter like the f16 or the jas39 and with a bit of interior modeled in

to fix takeoff, move your rear landing gear forward, so you aren't pushing them when aiming up, but instead rotating around them
#2, bigger flight surfaces, and move them further from the center of gravity/drag to increase their leverage.

@@amhuman5138 heaps of games release unfinished, and when players know it's meant to be unfinished, bug fixing is way quicker for the devs, and they'll know what they need to add to the game, instead of devoloping it blindly, it's what heaps of games have done, like rimworld and dwarf fortress and many others.
