Items of extreme importance typically have some guys with guns inbound once a threat is acknowledged and as such the security measure is designed to prevent smash and grab events. Other security techniques rely on making something a "hard" target, ie: 30 cars in a parking lot, thieves are going for the easier targets. Get as much loot as quickly as possible. Now if you look at the trailers that the USG uses to transport nuclear weapons and related stuff -- those go far beyond simple locks -- they've got some crazy active systems including basically blowing a substantial amount of fast-setting spray foam all over everyone / thing. The agency is NNSA -- read about their trailers that look identical to a random everyday truck / trailer combo.
Lock Picking Lawyer, After watching most of your videos I have determined there is no such thing as a pick proof lock!! Only varying levels of pick resistant locks, Because as you have demonstrated on this channel over and over again with the right tools and skill sets any lock can and will be defeated.
Excellent vid! IMO if they take your advice it'll be a new near legendary padlock. Only other piece of advice - to the consumer - get a "MASTER" lock logo...stick it on... That way if it's in a setting a thief thinks he can bypass while "Casing the Joint" then wastes 10 minutes using a rake attack while having his criminal 'friends' along trying to impress them what a super lockpick he is. Then they either run off or they pull out an abrasion disk - likely breaking it if it's attached to a chain but no easy way to hold onto it - and there's no argument they weren't trying to criminally break in when Da Fuzz finally bothers to show up... (versus loitering/lost etc.)
I think that putting Master Lock stickers over your locks, would attract a bunch of low quality walk-by thieves, who come and probe at all your locks. A better strategy would be to get some sort of "lock condom" that covers up the outside of padlocks, to conceal the type of padlocks you own. A low quality criminal would be tempted to cut that off to see what they are up against, so it would work like an anti-tamper seal.
I love where in the beginning he says we're going to "try" to pick this lock and then gut it. If you say you're going to gut it that means you already know you can pick it LOL!
It's really up to you. It's like asking someone how much you should spend on a condom. Well how much protection do you want? How much are you willing to spend?
@@Brotatoe1030 to be fair - after seeing maybe a dozen or two of his clips, this is the only one i found where he actually touches the keys... so, putting the bear on them did achieve something!

Suggestion: maybe you could add a visual of what you're doing inside the lock? I personally have no clue what a false gate, 'little click', or anything means. A tiny animation or drawing would visualize it for me
Prototypes at this level are often of greater quality than those of a mass produced item, if they take the advice and maintain the tolerances it could certainty be a pretty good lock.
That's considering that LPL hadn't inspected the lock design beforehand to know that there're no real false gates. Knowing that this lock can be picked much faster.

"Virtually impossible to crack"... in less than two minutes.
I enjoy watching people who excel at what they do.
"Now we can drop the balls out" is somehow going to get this video demonetized.
ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Made me nervous.
Those were some massive balls of steel, weren't they?
Actually, de-balling is perfectly acceptable on any google properties.

Lock Picking Lawyer, After watching most of your videos I have determined there is no such thing as a pick proof lock!! Only varying levels of pick resistant locks, Because as you have demonstrated on this channel over and over again with the right tools and skill sets any lock can and will be defeated.
Dude.. I mean this man makes every single video in 1 take and that’s so much of an incredible steadiness. Applauses
I would like to see the finished padlock, I have high expectations for the final one!!!! :)
Your videos are satisfying for some reason and i watch them even though i know nothing or have anything to do with locks
That's definitely a decent padlock if LPL has to actually make an effort to pick it.
Very nice teardown!

Must Freak them out to see their lock picked so fast. Well done.
I watch this videos before I go to sleep, they are so relaxing!
I love where in the beginning he says we're going to "try" to pick this lock and then gut it. If you say you're going to gut it that means you already know you can pick it LOL!
Can you please do a video recommending different padlocks at different price points? After watching your videos I feel more secure using zip ties 😂
Man this dude could pick zip ties for reuse
It's really up to you.
It's like asking someone how much you should spend on a condom. Well how much protection do you want? How much are you willing to spend?
Powerlock: This one is virtually impossible to crack!
LPL: Hold my keys!
or better yet just don't even bother sending keys, he doesn't need em
I was thinking......hold my beer,
@@Brotatoe1030 to be fair - after seeing maybe a dozen or two of his clips, this is the only one i found where he actually touches the keys...
so, putting the bear on them did achieve something!
I love the videos where you pick the lock then disassemble and explain the core. So interesting. Thank you!
I love watching your videos. I bought my own lock picking kit of my own because of you and only use it for my own use.
One of the only locks I might actually buy.
Do you put all the locks back together after you take them apart? Also, I would love a video about how you got started in lock picking. What made you take this up. So glad I found your channel. In any case, that's all I have for you today.
His grandfather gave him a lock that he despite his other toys cherished the most
Your professionalism is admirable. I really enjoy the content of your videos.
Someone get this guy a cookie. Good Job, I never doubted you LPL 👍
Suggestion: maybe you could add a visual of what you're doing inside the lock?
I personally have no clue what a false gate, 'little click', or anything means. A tiny animation or drawing would visualize it for me
Especially with those disc type locks. No clue whats really happening inside...

LPL: *Takes at least a couple minutes to crack a lock*
Me: I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK.
Nice tear down with helpful suggestions to the manufacturer. Great job and, as ever, a pleasure to watch you work. Thank you.
Thanks lock picking lawyer for get me to love picking locks and all the lessons you gave me
LPL: Took me a while, so let's open it up.
But man, this lock seems the most secure in a long time.
2min30s, that's pretty impressive from a padlock
Prototypes at this level are often of greater quality than those of a mass produced item, if they take the advice and maintain the tolerances it could certainty be a pretty good lock.
@@josuelservin2409
And if they implement his observations...
That's considering that LPL hadn't inspected the lock design beforehand to know that there're no real false gates. Knowing that this lock can be picked much faster.
@@MikkoRantalainen I've seen him pick locks blind and he seems to be really good at telling, but who knows
@@xaiano794 Yeah, LPL has serious picking skills indeed. However, it seemed that LPL figured out the false gate problem only during gutting.
I would love to see this man make the perfect lock 🔐
Again great pick LPL, 12 discs is a lot! Also superb suggestion on the false gates, I’m sure they will do something about that, otherwise I will visit them since I live in the Netherlands 👍😎
Lock: ROAR!!!
Thief: "yelp" *running away*
I really impressed by this company very brave to be tested by LPLYR.
Because no other person better than him to test lock product for improvements
The lock has 007 on the side so I'm guessing there might be some other youtubers reviewing it too
@@Broughman9 The first six were picked by in house experts.
Lock manufacturers must hate you, any claim is made null in 2 mins flat, I appreciate you know what your doing :) These videos are strangely satisfying.
The valuable recommendations as put forward in the video have been implemented in the production.
Company: "This lock is impossible to crack"
LPL: "This'll probably take a while"
Reality: "1 minute 45 seconds, a quick pick"
Like it! The company said unpickable, LPL said pickable!
To be fair, that's along time for LPL standards lol. And this kind of picking is MUCH harder than most other locks
The videos are made after he picked each lock already multiple times.
Salzui says who?
Keep in mind that he is an experienced picker that picked and bypassed hundreds of different locks, multiple times and used a tool that was custom made in cooperation with BosnianBill, an experienced picker himself
I want this lock. I have absolutely no need for it, I simply want it. LPL taking more than a minute to open one is impressive, but this took some time. If I lived in Kalifornia I may actually have time to unlock the safe, get my pistol, run to another room, unlock the safe, get my bullets, run to another room, grab the mag, load the mag, and chamber one before the criminal broke in!
You mean you'd have time to load your black powder musket
@@joshbimthedoctor LOL!
It slowed LPL down...all these videos have finally paid off - I'm sold.

That's a lot of discs!
Edit: I had it written as disks before. Edited to fix the mistake I made
@Joe Casson Sorry. English may be my first language, but I still seem to get mixed up on whether it's disc or disk.
Now that you guys mentioned it... nostalgia lol
Man, they should pay you, you are the ultimate quality control man for those locker companies that send you demonstratios of their new products.
sexy machine work ! Disk setup, not so much... I'd still buy it because it looks cool and those keys!
You should design your own locks! Hopefully pride in engineering will lead them to change their design and make it much better.
There are already locks he can't pick.
@@paulh2981 I was thinking in terms of designing it better. Marketing a lock by the lock picking lawyer with a design of his own would be great to see!
