Funny I got both the Black Diamond L39 and this blue digital camo SU 27 as well. I Maiden the L39 but haven't Maidened this one yet. I did however spit the aileron leads and programed flapperons on mine. If you decide to do flapperons and want your flaps to go lower than what the flap system allows, make a mix : flap switch to flap and increase the flap rate to give you more flap throw. That's how I always do my flapperons to get more flap than what the flap system allows. And yes I also snapped a couple of my ball links as well. I'm gonna replace mine with better ball links.
Maybe two more servos and flaps would be nice . or make sense , just received mine, i think the ball links need to be flipped inside after unscrewing the ball then the ball link can never come off since they taper on way only and are not symmetrical like fms links . a scale speed brake would have been good
I have one of their JAS39, nice flying plane, but like you seen parts are not on par with Freewing or FMS. Also one of the canard I had to recut the hole to install it. I do like the smaller form factor of this one over my Eflite 70mm.
The impression I get from this is that FlyFans is trying to compete with E-Flite, Freewing or FMS but they dont have the resources to really make a big hit plane. They are trying hard with this one but I am not sure how long it will last. But we shall see!
Looks like you could use a little less throw or more expo on the elevator as it jumps off the runway during take-off and also is pitchy on landing. Like your reviews.
its a nice looking plane, and from those "carrier" landings 🤪 and taxiing threw the grass it looks like the landing gear is pretty robust. i definitely will look for your flight with a 6s 4000. Did you get this from Banana Hobby?, (did you pay for this one, or did they comp you?) just curious. you have a flight review everyday practically with new plane. I am jealous
It is on the third flight video I dialed it in a bit and I think i flew on mid rates on the second flight check it out: ua-cam.com/video/UcgAWC2mOXg/v-deo.html
Well it flies as well as it looks but will it last?

Thanks so much for the mix tip. And for the visit!

I agree on the ball links. Great flying plane even without air brake.
Dave brown foams for more suspension like compression. ordered some 63 emc 4400 lipos for both the L39 AND this airframe

Thanks so much. Yeah I need more practice and testing.

Thanks 👍 Yes from BH and check out the second flight!! I used a 4000
I will try a 4400 smc in a couple of weeks after the L39 with a 3300 smc 475g
Sounds like a plane, I just ordered 2 SMC 2800 4s for my 4s jets, cant wait to try them.
Waiting on more Russian liveries. I may just have to peel those off and put some Red Stars on it.
That would look cool.
I think your throws on the elevator are a bit much for a full flying stab, look really pitch sensitive
