You were saying Japanese don’t say “I broke my leg” but rather “my leg broke.” From my studies, Spanish also seems to have the same fatalistic view of causation. For example, if you drop something and it breaks, you can say “se me calló y se rompé” (lit. “it fell from me and broke itself.”) I think that’s really interesting how different cultures view cause-and-effect, and how the language itself bakes pre-determinism into the grammar. English has that too, but it’s used mainly when we’re embarrassed about the consequence of an action in order to defer blame. 😅
~と means that:Now that you have done This,Another thing WILL happen. ~たら means that:When I do this(setting up for clause /basically “not very important info”)There is the POSSIBILITY of this happening.

I do not know if this works for everybody but, if you already understood the form and the conjugation, when misa is saying a sentence, try to understand it in japanese rather than understanding it all by imagining or translating every word in your brain into english, at first that is ok to do but after two or three times, try to understand it in pure nihongo, just my own opinion btw
These videos are so good. just want to help, I think a better word to describe the usage of と and たら would be "consequence" or "consequencetial". B is a consequence of A. Anyways, keep the videos coming great work!!

The thing with たら is exactly like in English.
If I ate milk, my stomach would hurt.
So that's why the verb has to be conjugated to the past before ら
