4 years ago when I was 12, I found this video. After watching this video and a few others of yours, I started drawing. At first I wasn't great (I was bad, really), but I always used this guideline. Back then I just closed the video after I was done, not knowing who made it. Fastforward 4 years and I draw and write as an amateur. I found this video again, just by chance and I have to say: Thank you, Mark. Thanks to your video, I started doing what I love. And now, thanks to you again, my brother, age 12, is now doing the same.

There's a really annoying girl who keeps trying to sit by me in class because she found out I liked anime. She was reading your book and I still think she's incredibly obnoxious but nice art!

A friend told me that to do this kind of thing takes many years and isn't something you'll pick up overnight or even months. Kind of a motivation killer. :(

Good lord, I was 14 years old when I first watched this. Glad to say I still draw all the time (and am much better than when I was a teenager lol). Your channel was a godsend for so many young teens getting started with art for the first time. Thanks for that 👍

Thank you, Mark Crilley! I remember watching this 4 years when I was struggling to draw even a strand of hair. Thanks to you, I have improved a bunch since then! I will never forget your influence. Thank you.

The thing I love about this guy is how confident his strokes are, also one thing about his videos is that he talks about what we want from his videos but I feel he should do what he is comfortable with, because it's art and it's the way you express yourself that effects the way it turns out.

The first tutorial I followed that started my long art journey that's still ongoing now nearly 7 years later. Thanks for helping me take that first step Mark.

This is what got me interested in drawing so many years ago. I'm now 14 and looking back at my old drawings, the improvement I've made is substantial. I never would have discovered my love for drawing if it weren't for you. You were my idol for the longest time! Thank you so much.

I remember watching this in 5th grade which was early 2010. 😁I remember being so proud that I actually followed through and done it without messing up horribly. I showed it to my art teacher but I'm thinking she was one of those who don't appreciate anime art style... 😭But Mark Crilley's tutorials and amazing works inspired me (and millions more!) so much to get into drawing that I still practice a lot to this day !😁😁❤️ Thank you for being my biggest motivation since I was young!
