I bought these last January as I was entering my last semester of college. Since graduation in May, I work as an accountant full time. These headphones can typically last me all week without having to recharge, and I wear them at least 30hrs. The app customization for different EQ settings is AMAZING & it's nice for when you're switching between Hip-hop music & a podcast!😂 These are by far the most productive purchase I've ever made, these crap on Beats(Apple) in every category other than IPX rating & are worth every single $!

I've had mine for just over a year now & they are my favorite purchase EVER! I used to love Beats but their connection issues w Android drove me away. I use these 30+ hours a week & have listened to more music this past year than I have my entire 22 years of life prior😂

@@chickon_real they're by far the best pair of headphones I've ever used! The noise isolation is crazy especially on a plane or simply going on a walk near a busy road. They're super comfy and I can wear them 8 hours no problem. The Sony app allows you to make your own custom EQ for music and the Speech EQ is the best when watching podcasts! I couldn't recommend them anymore and I'm going on month 16 of ownership
I’ve just got the midnight blue and compared to my older black ones, they are significantly better in terms of stains and dirt. They don’t attract fingerprints half as much as the black ones yet they similar looking. I think the materials are slightly different. Even they ear cushions feel slightly different.

How much voice is cancelled out. I want to buy them for studies purpose and anc. I also do coding and complex projects but working from home is not noisy for me. So will it help.

@@RyansTechMedia for you to need to charge daily you need to use the headphones more than 15h per day and if you sleep 8h it leaves you with less than an hour without the headphones
@@matthew6994@matthew6994 They have a trend of two-year gaps, though; XM3's were made in 2018, XM4s in 2020, and XM5s in 2022. It might make sense that the XM6 might come this year then tbh.

I like the sound of M4 better which I have reviewed as well, but the earcups were smaller and some people found some QC issues so all things considered I’d say Sony! Thanks for the comment.
Honestly, i loved them, i liked them a whole lot but recently the right ear cup just snapped, out of no where, really annoyed about it and have yet to recieve any message back about it from sony

If your unit is functioning well, there would be very little you'd gain from upgrading this time. I'd wait for the XM6!

It's funny you say "don't buy black" my experience w these light color is makeup gets on them, it looks worse than fingerprint on blk.

The XM5's came out May 2022 so i wouldn't expect a new version for a couple of years

should listen to Bose qc ultra. Day and night difference. Sony sound like cheap Chinese headphones

Yes if you prefer better build quality and yet cheaper price I’d definitely recommend them.

U would have to pay for that repair not covered by warranty. Any excess stretching or bending of the headphone will snap the hinges on xm5
