I can use these headphones when I play on ps5 connected to my smart oled tv. I connect them through the tv and works like a charm no issues🎉
My experience is that the ANC in this headphone even helped me with my anxiety and ADHD. It is so good that it isolates my thoughts from the outside.

For noise cancellation & battery life it’s currently in 1st place. For sound quality it comes in 4th place among its competitors.

bose qc ultra do have better anc and transparency mode howver they are much more expensive

It looks good, minimal and clean . Definitely light weight and great ANC. The reason why I sold it away and get a higher quality headphone like my focal bathys , is the sound quality man. As an audiophile , Sony should focus on improving their sound for the audio side of things. It doesn’t have the technical capabilities in sound . That is one of the important aspects to focus on a headphone . Other than that, good headphone for ANC, mic , comfort and battery. Great video.
These headphones are not directed at Audiophiles! They are for the mass market, those who want an engaging and fun listen not a neutral uncolored sound. That being said, the Focal Bathys are an absolute rip off for ANC headphones you can buy much better sounding wired Focals for less money. Who as an audiophile purchases ANC Bluetooth headphones for sound quality. What you have done is bought a name, the ANC is worse the “subjectively” better sound quality isn’t worth the money. They are not portable. I have the Focal Clear MG, that is a significant step up from the XM5 but it’s wired and paired with high end audio equipment. I have tried the Bathys, the bass can’t exactly be described as tight and the treble was way too sharp lacking the tonal balance of the XM5 for a relaxing listen while traveling or working. I own several high end wired headphones and several pairs of ANC headphones to accommodate my work and travels. I auditioned the Bathys and consider them the worst value ANC headphones on the market. I guess that’s why you are trying to justify your purchase in this comments section. You’re not an audiophile if you think the Bathys are offering you any benefit in this comparison other than a lighter wallet. Come on then Mr Audiophile what technical capabilities in sound don’t the Sony’s have vs the Bathys?

Anyways , your focal clear mg like u said , it’s a wired headphone. We are talking wireless here . So you’re saying that u are not an audiophile if bathys offering any benefit? It does … sound .. as compared to xm5. Xm5 is dark in the treble , the bass is bloated and boomy . Yes u can eq but it’s not that detailed . That’s my subjective opinion.
I have equipment that cost way more than your clear MG like the Warwick acoustic bravura or the Diana TC and other stuffs. We are talking wireless here . Don’t get carried away . Like I said , it’s my subjective opinion in sound .

@@nurmbms90 congratulations on having more expensive headphones than me, I buy then based on the sound quality not the price. I’m saying that the Bathys amongst their peers are not good value, that something that works better as an ANC headset is what you should purchase if you want noise canceling and if you want a good Focal headphone buy a cheaper non ANC one. Because the Bathys don’t do Focal headphones justice in the sound quality department and they are not competitive with their peers in the ANC market. They do a mediocre job of the two things that other products do better for their individual use cases whereas I feel the majority of people wearing APM and XM5 don’t really need ANC, most people are wearing them in the house or jogging or walking on the high street where you should be listening to your surroundings. And googling 15k worth of headphones just to say you have more expensive gear than someone is pathetic. I mentioned the MG because I was drawing a comparison not name dropping stuff based on its price!!! I listened to the MG because some said it was as good as the HD800. I found the warmer sound more suited to my listening hence why I purchased them, going any higher up the price ladder them the diminishing returns are likely non existenst. And I believe it won’t be long before we actually get a completely lossless audio codec so am wary of spending in the next year or two on something else.
@@nurmbms90 I buy for sound quality, not so I can say I have expensive gear. Googling two very expensive items and saying you have them doesn’t give your opinion any more clout. Just makes you come across as petty. I have cheap headphones I have expensive ones I used the Focals as an example as they were mentioned in the discussion.

the sony wh1000xm5 i would say are still the king of headphones, i have a pair of airpods max and xm5s i rarely use my airpods max i prefer the xm5 more because of the value and i think they sound better than any other headphones i have ever used i would say these headphones are 100% worth it
What about sweating? I'd want to order xm5 but never use headphones, using airpods pros for 4-5 years now and have some concerns about sweating. I live in Istanbul and the weather usually between 15-35.
@@enescalskan3985 they will be fine if you are using them in the cold it wont ruin them and with sweating i use them for the gym they will be fine, if you have black xm5s it wouldnt matter if you sweat because the ear muffs are black so it wont yellow

The ear pad and headband material is low quality which is what I didn’t like and keep in mind I am comparing it to xm4 which had excellent build quality
have one of those, love it... I have the Xperia 5 mark IV with 360upmix activated, ANC on and I'm in another world, looking forward to buying the WF-1000XM5 too
I considered to get this, but I'm afraid if the latest version just pop up after, u know that feels right😢
The new ones might come out sometime later in 2024 so I guess well have to wait and see
Just got a set today. Ok only briefly listened to them so early days but TBH don’t know what all the fuss is about. I had AirPod Max but hated the discomfort, really annoying head band that rendered them useless to me but the sound is in a different stratosphere compared to these Sonys. These will do for travel to cut plane noise and are much lighter and very comfortable but if you don’t find the AirPods max uncomfortable like I did they wipe the floor with these for sound in every way, seriously streaks ahead. If Apple get their crap together and change that daft headband design I’ll go back to them over these in a heartbeat.

I would personally get the silver! Holds up much better with fingerprints!
