My first toon was a Tauren Feral Druid in early BC. It was glorious and very fun. However, I’ve had to drop the Feral because it’s just not worth it anymore. Sad days
Has it ever been worthwhile? As Preach mentioned, even at their peak they still only got one spot in most guilds, lol - as fun as Feral is, it has always had a hard time being represented.

They brought a LOT but the problem was getting raid leaders to see it, getting comps to utilize it or getting players who were good enough to capitalize on all of it to put in the effort instead of playing some class designed for "accessibility" (aka if you're not a person who has a legit disability the reason they appeal to you is called not actually being good) like -assassination- any spec of rogue where they can do as much damage without the effort and without sticking out. To be a good feral player you had to be a real chad, and the amount of chads with principles is very low.
God, that first one... I feel sorry for him. I very strongly disagree that they wouldn't have criticised him after the Mimiron attempt: people being assholes, especially in competitive environments like that, is bound to bother anyone, and raid leaders back then? Absolute scum of the earth in most cases. I think there's a higher chance than normal that they'd already decided not to take him on even before the death, hence Konrad's "nah no new mechanics it's OK" and "MOVE YOU IDIOT" lines. Couple that with the death and you end up with some serious anxiety fuel, especially if you're a not-too-confident kid.
I miss playing wow so much but I stoped playing after WoD because it’s not as fun anymore to me. Wrath was the best IMO. Love that I found you again preach. I used to watch drama time all the time. For some reason I stopped and I didn’t get notifications. I got a notification of your “quitting wow” and rediscovered your channel and I’ve been subbed still this whole time.. happy I found it again
The 3 Freya thing made brought up again made me think, did people in higher guilds go straight to 3 or work their way up? I got to hm very late Uld early toc and it was either 1 or 3 on my server.
The problem as far as I can tell is Ferals are never balanced. They are either god tier destroying everyone else... or they are so bad you're all told "reroll tree or gtfo". There's never any middle ground.

? They got mutliple massive reworks over the years from TBC to Cata to Legion. Ferals are still the exact fucking same since TBC, with them LOSING stuff every expansion since wotlk.

No mangle debuff to keep up, no positioning requirement on shred, nerfed leader of the pack and that's just stuff from TBC alone lost, not to mention what has been gained and lost since. Edit: I am being pedantic however and what you're saying is exactly true. The framework of the class has not changed and has not even been altered to positively affect the gameplay of a stagnant design in an evolving class and game system. Shaman have had beautiful niches comparatively, and by not naming a specific spec its not even a comparison- one shaman spec has been incredibly powerful every expansion.

As a woman… I also feel like there’s a clean up that should happen at blizz and I’m going to give them the opportunity to. WoW is not simply one entity. I will say if they don’t make changes I’ll have to give up my all time favorite video game. Which is upsetting but just the way it is.
I've played WoW since vanilla, and loot drama is still the most ridiculous thing that goes on within the game. Loot is such a non-issue if you are in a decent guild, regardless of skill level. In a heroic guild, as long as bosses are dying, it really doesn't matter. And in a mythic guild, it should be all about the team rather than only thinking about your guild. And if these things aren't happening, the answer isn't to bitch about loot, but to gquit, find a better guild, or kick the person bitching about loot.
This has been something that has evolved within the game. Early on people largely were very self centered and the idea of the team didnt matter since feeder guilds were a constant thing. You would want your gear to move up to the next level, fuck the rest of them. Of course good guilds existed who were always like this. There's a reason we dont hear a lot about them on drama time- they handled their situation like adults and nobody was upset. Nowadays we have a much more clear cut team first mentality(for the most part, shit tier guilds and players still exist) and teams stick together more often than not. Also not being stuck with purely your teams raid lockout (Since you can do normal with one group, heroic with another, mythic with a third) makes gear acquisition a lot less of an unattainable goal. I'm not disagreeing with you im just putting it into context for anyone else who reads this comment why things were that way. Its not that good, smart and successful people and systems didnt exist, its that changing cultural perception within WoW takes along time and changing the nature of people takes a lot of training and structure.
Preach is wrong about wotlk and ferals. The absolute peak in feral performance was in MoP, specifically using the mastery proc trinket from throne of thunder which made them do 300-400k dps in seige of ogrimmar whilst everyone else was lucky to do 250 in top end gear.
I really hope that Blizz can get their shit together because it seems like every few months is something else involving them and it sucks to see something I use to love fall so far

Personally wouldn't be surprised if Ion is on the hotseat based on the performance of the next expansion. Not sure how that works though
No one deserves to be harassed for still playing or streaming WoW. Boycotting won't actually hurt the company, but it will hurt the decent employees trying to do their job & streamers covering WoW. I'm not quitting yet. Like Mike, I'm going to wait and see and hope that the toxic is purged from the company.

Go listen to someone with credentials such as Max or even Preach about sims. They'll tell you that they're useful but not anything really valuable since they dont actually take the real life circumstances of the fight into consideration. Funny 1:56 Sco and the rest of Method (that wasn't a predator) weren't given the same courtesy. Funny how that same energy was not kept. the personal loot thing was basicaly the guy getting ''scamed'',the boss even on personal will still drop a maximum number of items,not every single person in the raid can get an item,so by that alt rogue being on outlaw loot spec,it automaticaly decreased the chances for the main rogue to get it....this was just mind blowingly huge levels of stupidity from the raid leader
I share your sentiment about not burning the city down, when you can simply remove the rats. The problem is: most of the leadership who could control a rat population are either rats themselves, or appear content to condone the rats. The values and decision making process of the leadership appear bankrupt. When that is coupled with the piss poor decision making process for the game, going on 4 years strait: I can no long support this company. Their are enough other deserving games and companies, I don't need to support Blizzard leadership by continuing my sub. Likewise, most of those other companies are hiring. Their staff should not feel trapped. Their are also a multitude of other games for streamers to move too. New World, FF14, ESO, GW2....... However, I agree we should not harass others for choosing a different opinion. This is a personal choice. But, it's a choice where excuses should be removed. Excuses are why this behavior has been perpetuated for this long. If Blizzard had shown a willingness to listen, and was open to feedback; this might be different. But they are bereft of any sense on admitting fault, taking responsibility, nor accepting outside opinion. Thus, this will continue so long as the current leadership is empowered.

Its hard to say "just cancel your sub" because its going to effect the people that are good and just trying to work rather than the people who did it. The courts will need to deal with them. Most of the people responsible don't even work there anymore. This will not end well for any involved though and it shouldn't.

I thinking about quitting myself I've played for like 12 years on and off with retail and since day one of classic I've already quit retail but its hard trying to stop playing classic I've got a great guild I raid lead and am an officer in but I'm dipping my toes in to eso thinking about making the switch soon. I wish our game wasn't in such bad hands. :(

Well they have like 9500 employees and millions of players, if everyone cancelled their sub over this I think it would be hard to argue that thousands of people that have nothing to do with the stuff in the lawsuit wouldn't get hurt. The feral story is a very poorly written fan fiction. The best horde guild invited him, it felt like Method talking to him... meanwhile he said they were the first guild to kill HC Freia (in 10 pull... )
That feral sounds like a trash human. Gquit a solid guild because he lost a staff to a survival hunter, when that staff was also BIS to their spec. Then jumped ship at the first opportunity over this perceived slight. The first guild sounds like they were better off without them.
These are allegations made by a corrupt State. They may be true...they may not. But just because Ca decided sue a company doesn't mean its true. You don't know the full allegations, the parties, and most importantly, the evidence.
This was the fakest story ive ever heard, first of all Armor Pen gear was litterally nonexistant until ulduar besides the rare occasional item yet he has SO MUCH armor pen yet hasnt even raided ulduar lol. Imagine making up a story just to get on Dramatime.
If he had been raiding ulduar he could have had some. Not to mention every piece of gear had tons of gem slots. I remember arpen stacking started in ulduar to my recollection
while the story might be fake the AP thingy was real, I was softcap with my hunter in Ulduar, it was not that hard, gems and that OP trinket from (nax if i remember correctly)
@@asasdsaasda Yea u had the Grim Toll and gems, but real ArP stacking didnt start until Ulduar and then Hardcap was impossible to reach before u get DBW from ICC for most classes. You didn't rly wanna stack full ArP gems before ulduar as Hit/Exp was just way better value early on for most classes. On Pservers it's totally diffrent then it was back in retail since wotlk is prob the absolute most changed expansion from start to end. (Blizzard did massive massive changes in each patch basicly, like DoT's critting wasn't a thing until Ulduar for example).

Also, your simmed dps is great and all but its not your dps. Go listen to someone with credentials such as Max or even Preach about sims. They'll tell you that they're useful but not anything really valuable since they dont actually take the real life circumstances of the fight into consideration.

Funny 1:56 Sco and the rest of Method (that wasn't a predator) weren't given the same courtesy. Funny how that same energy was not kept. Not really a fan of Method (Paragon is life) but the way people handled that was kind of scummy and pandery imo essentially posturing for twitter.

the personal loot thing was basicaly the guy getting ''scamed'',the boss even on personal will still drop a maximum number of items,not every single person in the raid can get an item,so by that alt rogue being on outlaw loot spec,it automaticaly decreased the chances for the main rogue to get it....this was just mind blowingly huge levels of stupidity from the raid leader

I share your sentiment about not burning the city down, when you can simply remove the rats.
The problem is: most of the leadership who could control a rat population are either rats themselves, or appear content to condone the rats.
The values and decision making process of the leadership appear bankrupt. When that is coupled with the piss poor decision making process for the game, going on 4 years strait: I can no long support this company.
Their are enough other deserving games and companies, I don't need to support Blizzard leadership by continuing my sub.
Likewise, most of those other companies are hiring. Their staff should not feel trapped.
Their are also a multitude of other games for streamers to move too. New World, FF14, ESO, GW2.......
However, I agree we should not harass others for choosing a different opinion. This is a personal choice. But, it's a choice where excuses should be removed. Excuses are why this behavior has been perpetuated for this long.
If Blizzard had shown a willingness to listen, and was open to feedback; this might be different. But they are bereft of any sense on admitting fault, taking responsibility, nor accepting outside opinion. Thus, this will continue so long as the current leadership is empowered.

Let's be honest Activision is a horrible company. They're terrible to their customers and even worse to their employees.
Its hard to say "just cancel your sub" because its going to effect the people that are good and just trying to work rather than the people who did it. The courts will need to deal with them. Most of the people responsible don't even work there anymore. This will not end well for any involved though and it shouldn't.

Well they have like 9500 employees and millions of players, if everyone cancelled their sub over this I think it would be hard to argue that thousands of people that have nothing to do with the stuff in the lawsuit wouldn't get hurt. That feral sounds like a trash human. Gquit a solid guild because he lost a staff to a survival hunter, when that staff was also BIS to their spec. Then jumped ship at the first opportunity over this perceived slight. The first guild sounds like they were better off without them.
These are allegations made by a corrupt State. They may be true...they may not. But just because Ca decided sue a company doesn't mean its true. You don't know the full allegations, the parties, and most importantly, the evidence.

This was the fakest story ive ever heard, first of all Armor Pen gear was litterally nonexistant until ulduar besides the rare occasional item yet he has SO MUCH armor pen yet hasnt even raided ulduar lol.

If he had been raiding ulduar he could have had some. Not to mention every piece of gear had tons of gem slots. I remember arpen stacking started in ulduar to my recollection
while the story might be fake the AP thingy was real, I was softcap with my hunter in Ulduar, it was not that hard, gems and that OP trinket from (nax if i remember correctly)
@@asasdsaasda Yea u had the Grim Toll and gems, but real ArP stacking didnt start until Ulduar and then Hardcap was impossible to reach before u get DBW from ICC for most classes.
You didn't rly wanna stack full ArP gems before ulduar as Hit/Exp was just way better value early on for most classes.
On Pservers it's totally diffrent then it was back in retail since wotlk is prob the absolute most changed expansion from start to end. (Blizzard did massive massive changes in each patch basicly, like DoT's critting wasn't a thing until Ulduar for example).
