As someone who has both a 16in M1 and now the 14in M3 Pro, I would never have bought the 16in. Way too big for travel and even at home I’m finding myself picking up the 14in everyday and seldom the 16in.

I’m torn between the M3 Pro MacBook Pro 14” and the M3 Air 15” 16/512. Like you said, form factor and weight is important. That said, as someone who wants to edit for a UA-cam series, I just am feeling like 14” Pro would be the sensible thing to get. But damn the Air 15” is tempting.

Thank you for the "real world" perspective. And I agree with you. But if I hear ONE more person "gushing" about the new "quasi-black" colors or fingerprints... OMG, buy a $20 skin, and MOVE ON! Value prospects and performance are the only things that matter from one Macbook to another. For real, put an ORANGE skin, (You'll NEVER lose it!) 😁on ANY color you can get your hands on for cheap, (WITH THE SPECS YOU NEED for your usage case.) and be done with it. Well-done! And looking forward to that missing island footage. ;-)
