Hi Steve! We’ve been practising this exercise today… love the ‘rein brain foot’ catchy and easy to remember 👍🏽 singing the okie cokie whilst doing this 😂 left leg in, out and shake it all about! We had fun 🐴🤠 thank you 😀
Hi Steve so watching this clip, key to success is proper set up, ask for that back steps first, then rein to brain to foot, got it. Will try it today. Thank you.
@@_thenaturalhorseman awesome! I loved that little session! I even had my 9 year old daughter do it with her horse. She always wants to ride but since we live in the far north our footing can be challenging so this ground work is just what I needed for her to play with.
So I’ve taught my horses a leg on in position 2 means side pass away from that leg. How do your horses know the difference between yield away from your leg and lift your back? Loving this content, btw. I think what I’m asking is what are your cues for side pass?
There are many ways to adjust your balance to influence how the horse moves. Here I simply slide my leg forward a small distance but rather than riding to the side, I simply ride the direction I’m currently going.
Morning Steve,
Thanks again for another smart video.
Good morning, absolutely my pleasure Michael.
I’m so grateful Ryan Rose recommended this channel.
I’m happy you’re here. Ryan is a good friend of mine and great horseman.

Great Amanda, I’m happy to hear it! Did last week’s exercise help you with this one?
@@_thenaturalhorseman yes it did Steve, certainly helped when asking him to swing his shoulder to the side rather than stepping forward off the rein 😊
@@amandasmith171 I like it!!! 😊
This channel is just packed full of great information.
Thanks Steve!
Hi Rachel! Guess what video is coming next week!?!?
@@_thenaturalhorseman Are you doing one just for me? Lol
My special request?
Love all your videos, I could watch you talk horses/horsemanship all day!
@@KingsMom831 Absolutely! Your special request video is the next one coming up.
@@_thenaturalhorseman YESSSS!!! I can’t wait!!
