It's a great shame that so many wannabes have been able to latch onto Charlie Bronson and use what he thought was genuine friendship as bragging rights and a way to get themselves in the spotlight.
I think he's finally got wise though,changing his name and doing the conflict resolution courses to distance himself from the image his fake friends helped to publicize,and the publishers and film makers made a mint out of.
And he's actually studying art and developing a decent technique,instead of being encouraged to churn out disturbing childlike cartoons which his 'mates' praised to high heaven so's he'd send them one.. only for it to appear on eBay a month later.

I don't know nothing about this guy, but I was brought up listening to the story's of people like Lenny McLean on the cobbles, the mad Frankie Fraser and the Kray twins and Richardson's and every story I was told there was a code of honour and silence. This guy also claimed to have worked with the Krays but he was 9 years old when they went to prison so he obviously lied. Now that I think of it; I guess in a way, he kind of worked for the Krays. He was hired for security at one of the twins funeral, that was it. I know he tried paying his respects at the other twins funeral and was barred from entering the funeral home. He ended up bumping his head on a helicopter flying overhead when he was exiting the building.

The thing is, real villains like Frankie Fraser, The Richardsons, Freddie Foreman and The Krays grew up in a very tough time in Britain, when money wasnt easy to come by and as a person, you had to stand tall and learn to look after yourself. These men inevitably became gangsters not out of choice but because it was the life they were born into. This melt is just some twat who`s a self-proclaimed gangland figure just because he once stole a mars bar from a newsagents and he owns the Godfather trilogy on DVD boxset! Prison System been keeping Mr Bronson in jail for way too long, way too long, should have given him a lot of support long ago, and cascaded down to an open prison, I think in years to come the powers that be may have realised this man needs therapy support & rehabilitation into entering the outside world & not simply solitary every time he has kicked off
Considering the vast majority of people in prison will get out, there needs to be a lot more focus on rehabilitation. The punishment is being there, being isolated from society, removed from your family, beyond that the whole point should be changing behaviour. But the intelligence and intent to benefit the prisoners just doesn't exist. It's a money making scheme like medicine, there's no money in a cure, the money's in the long term treatment. Privatised prisons are a business.

I am writing this in the hope someone will read it and help me get justice from the system that has created me and possibly take up my cause to obtain progression through the system. I am one of the forgotten prisoners left behind after IPP was deemed unlawful in 2012. Everyone in jail is allowed certain rights, especially progress. How can I ever progress whilst I'm on cat A. To be on cat A, you are a danger to the state, public and prison so how can I be freed? Who is going to free me whilst I'm still on cat A. I was sentenced to life with a tariff of THREE years. I am now 13 years over that tariff.
At my trial I was denied witnesses, I was denied duress plea and am now an ex Broadmoor patient ( I was certified insane) so how was I allowed to defend myself. I have spent decades unlawfully held in solitary. I have unlawfully been denied progress. Even the Kray twins were de-categorised to cat B after 15 years. I have been on it 40 years. This alone stops my progress. Cat A prisoners are deemed a danger to the state and to the public. My crimes outside are actually very low grade. They do not warrant or justify a cat A status. I am constantly denied my basic human rights i.e. attending family funerals, being held hundreds of miles from my home town, being denied permission to associate with fellow inmates.
I am not allowed to work or attend courses, no form of rehabilitation whatsoever. Going ahead with my two yearly parole hearing without me after I made it clear in writing, I wished to attend so I could express my true self in a polite and respectful way. All I received was a sealed envelope from the judge which read "your next review is in June 2017. He made his decision without hearing my defense. How am I ever going to be freed? I recently read of inmates suing prison authorities over being kept in solitary for more than a week. Well I have been kept in isolated conditions for well over 35 years out of 40 years inside. Don't I have any human rights? I sit in my cell month after month, year after year creating my art. I have rehabilitated MYSELF. It’s time to go home now but how ?
