I really needed this video and more like this. Though I've worked on many DAW's and my main has been Reason. For mixing I really want to move away from them. Is MixBus on Groove3 or anything? Or will you continue to make the basics and Tips for MB. I'm asking cause I like to have an updated version of your information.
More tips videos coming soon. Though the GUI is different in older videos the info is still very relevant. Best way to learn anything is do it every day. -Nathan
Hey wait: why is your Spill Button placed so ergonomically next to the faders, mine (MB10.0, Win) is way up at the Input-Section?? Was about to suggest moving it down (like in the VCAs...)
Hey Nathan, I'm trying to find out how to back up Mixbus (v7) on Mac. I want to back up the whole Mixbus program to an external drive. I want to be able to restore Mixbus with all my current settings if I get a new computer or my current computer dies. Where can I find out how to do this?
Hey Billy, on a Mac you need to go to the main Mac menu, click on Go/Libraray/Preferences/Mixbus 7 then save that folder where ever you like. This will have all your settings that you can then move to your new computer. -Nathan
Hey Nathen. I like mixbus very much wanna ask you about workflow. Plugins I use when mixing in mixbus is going to background when I click to mixer console. İs there any solution to put plugins to the front unless I close them. And is there any way to control playhead via komplete kontrol m32 push encoder dial. I can use it in fl studio but cant make it work with mixbus yet. Thank you.
The only thing I would say is that I tend to do a lot of bussing in my mix setup and having only 8 instrument busses can be a limitation especially on mixes with large track counts. Can you suggest a workaround?
You can create as many Audio Buses as you would like but these buses don't have the tape drive and summing engine. They are like an Aux bus that you would create in any other DAW.
Rock on Nathan! Thanks for another insight into MixBus 10!
More videos coming

Great summary of the new MB10 Work Flow !!!! Cheers!
Thank you! 👍
I finally got to upgrade this week to MB10 Pro! Woohoo!
Nice!!
Can mixbus read AU plugins?
Sure can :)

In MixBus i do not see VU meters like on real console.
Also i would like more option of tape machine like real tape machine has.
The Channel Strip, Busses and Master Bus are the main aspects of the console style workflow.

I just tested on Mac and Windows and the plugin is staying on top. What OS are you using?

There may be a Windows setting that is hindering the plugin from staying on top.
Awesome DAW! Better than protools…
Glad you like it.

Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
Need one of those shirts! Great overview.
We have a swag shop somewhere. :)
I really like Mixbuss 10. It has a really fast workflow.
Thanks!!!

@@HarrisonAudio Thanks for your reply. How can you then send to those extra busses? I haven't seen how you can do that.
I'm not talking about an aux send , I'm asking how you can create more instrument busses-?
"Console inspired workflow" and "Console-inspired workflow" have two very different meanings. Hyphenation matters.
The workflow determines the choices that are made.
@@HarrisonAudio Yes, but that's not what your video title says. It's like jokes. If you have to explain them, they don't work.
