It must be exhausting to narrate every run in these last levels. Decino has to talk us through the goings-on of the level while the game is trying to grief him, and after dozens of attempts, it must get monotonous. Yet Decino pulls it off gracefully, having enough patience and vigor to not only beat some of the hardest video game levels I've ever seen, but also to calmly chauffeur us through the map. This is quality content from an amazing UA-camr! Excellent work Decino!
One of the best things about Sunlust and lots of Ribbiks work is the shear creativity of it. Like that Archvile rotating wall circular room of death. Who even thinks of how to make something like that, in Doom?
One of the things that makes Doom so great is the interplay between different enemy types and the level geometry - the spinning archvile room is a creative example of this, but it’s clear that the people who made these levels really understood how to leverage it into making interesting encounters
So, that room? That room apparently does have a long reach. Yea Sunder is what comes to mind right after you're done with Sunlust. But it doesn't lend itself well to decino's format, half way through the wad uvmax records are around half an hour meaning slowplays w/ commentary would take a tooooooon of time. And the new maps... well no one has even beaten them deathless yet. Still they're perfect for streaming so maybe at some sub special?

This map really stood out to me from the rest of the mega wad; because not only does it have that cool spinning wall Arch-vile room, but also the transition from having nice and cool map names to a sudden "Go Fuck Yourself" that made it really foreboding.
Damn, the music - Max Man, Shiva's theme from Streets of Rage 2 - is very fitting for this map, since it's the penultimate map in the WAD. I like that! Also, agree, this one is not even close in difficulty to map28.
I havn't watched every level of this wad, but every one i see blows me away. Some seriously creative and aestheticly pleasing stuff. Except for those misaligned textures, I hope someone got fired for that massive blunder.

The real talent here is not how well decino plays doom, but that he can play something this difficult and give a running commentary the whole way through. Ever heard anyone talk about the 'youtube curse?' Well, from personal experience I can say a major factor in it is the multitasking required to play a really difficult game and talk about something the whole way through.
