You mentioned the physical exhausting part for you. Any suggestions on what to do to be more fit for this race? Arm and leg exercises for example. Nice you did more of the DEFI wind experience

Whoever that was was for sure fast, but it’s also deceiving. He had much better start and came with speed while others had to accelerate.
Is he just incredibly talented or has phantom just the best foilgear? Considering that from the 4 foilers in the top 10, 3 of them sail with Phantom.

Great race - well done. Foiling definitely looks painful (even though fast in most conditions) because the weight distribution has to be so "spot on" to have maximum speed. Hope the back is better. You'll be developing new muscles you didn't even know existed LOL.

Im new to all of this so i actually need explanation. How do this races actually work? cause seeing how the rabit start makes that everybody starts at different times it can be like a classical race. Do they do it by time or how exactly does it work ?
No, because the boat goes from downwind to upwind. So yes the ones upwind can start later but can take a faster course. So this evens out the advantage.
However starting downwind, where the boat starts first still has a bit of an advantage on the foil.
For a classical start it’s just too many people.
Good race! Maybe for your size and strength at these wind speeds 22-28 knots you needed even the 85 board with the 5.7 or maybe the 81 and 6.7? Were the other top 10 foil riders on similar gear?

Sail size was good. They were ok even smaller sails. Yeah, maybe the board could have even been 85.

Dunno... to me watching a foil race is really bothering, more than half of the excitement is lost. I hope in the future they make separated races or at least separated classifications.
