I don't know what's more amazing... Nico currently sitting in 3rd spot or Lars putting out this amazing, perfectly edited, 18 min video overnight. 🤣 You guys are an amazing team and these videos with behind-the-scenes are really great!!! Thank you so much for creating these! Good luck on your next races, Nico! I am rooting for you!!!
It is hard to believe. As a windsurfer I see how good these guys are, how much they train and how much attention they pay to every detail of their gear and then you see them at the end of the day on the podium and you hear the applause of....15 persons? Definitely not more than 20 persons. They deserve so much more spectators. At least these videos are great fun to watch and hopefully get a lot of views.
Bravo Lars. You da man. Amazing video with such a short turn around time. Fantastic results, Nico. The control on the foil in these conditions is next level🙌 Epic. This footage is how we make windsurfing great again😁
Well done with this report! I think we all loved the amazing drone footage that make the races alive. Amazing how difficult it seems to turn harder on the foils, yet the ease and acceleration is evident. 😅
Congratulations on a great day Nico, we know how hard you've worked to get to this level, and a third placing for the day is awesome. I can't help thinking, given that this event is likely to be the windier events of the tour, that any doubt about the future of fin on the PWA are surely going to be answered here. I have mixed feelings about it, technological improvements and innovation are the key to our sports success, and foils are part of that, but I wish it wasn't at the cost to fin racing. Good luck for the next 2 days.
Well done to both you and Lars for this nice video! You had us in the first half: "high chance of fin action" => make all the finals with foil only :). I don't mind I actually like the battle between fins and foils. I think it's more interesting to watch than just pure fins race. And with only a 5.6 fin sail, I understand why you went on the foil.
The best coverage of a PWA slalom race I've ever seen. If you put a bit of Ben commentating under the drone shots it would be perfection! Preperation - Interview - Racing - vibe > just ad a bit more storytelling...
I love the fin. Now I'm getting more experienced in foiling, having more and more fun. I believe Pozo will prove that fins and foils need to be in different categories, separate races. Few years ago, we thought that 20kts would be the cut off between fin/foil... we're yet to see what the cut off will be at Pozo. I'd bet there won't be; few are certainly prepared to foil in 35kts. Anyway, the show is amazing!!
Thanks for the amazing footage! Also amazing to see how you improve your skill level;) Without doubt you’re one of Big 5 now! Keep on, dude! All the best for a successful season!🤘
Great footage, great edit, great story-telling ! I thought foil-racing was kind of boring to watch but these were really exciting. Conditions also make it spectacular, respect to all riders out there. Those foiling tacks close to the shorebreak...
So nice to see you in the leading part of this event after all this work!! Keep pushing!!! Really wish you all the best for the next days! And by the way, amazing work for the videos, from both of you always good as hell! Big shout out to Lars for releasing the video so quickly :))
Great report and video. Congratulations on very good results. The footage from the drone is fantastic. I also like that you show things around the race like getting in or out of the water. Good luck for the rest of the competition
Geile Leistung! Great perfomance, it‘s a different ballgame in these conditions than on Lake Garda. Appreciate your effort to do a daily report. Stay tuned and good luck 🚀
Great update!! I think the longer the foils have been around and the more guys are competing with them, they have actually become quite spectacular in racing. I thought I would never say that, but there you go!!
Superb footage of racing and an outstanding result so far Nico. You’re absolutely right as the correct gear for conditions needs to be selected, and the more we (I) see and the more the foil R&D evolves the more evident that the fin and foil are two completely different disciplines.. Rally v F1 car springs to mind so let the debate rumble on if they should be both on the same race track 😂 look fwd to todays action fin or foil 🤙
Hi Nico congrats on Day 1 slalom results really happy for you and delighted you managed to climb back to the top of the pro tour after a corporate stint. Will be following more races for sure - Lars pretty good job with the footage as usual! Well done to both of you! Best regards Marcin
Well done, Nico! Great footage from inside the race and fabulous results. Very consistent. Let's hope they can sort out the course and figure out a better way of launching and landing that gets you all away from that shorebreak. Scary biscuits! 🫣
Glad you archieving your goals, to focus on competition and actually being super competitive. Bravo And competing and being the best media reporter of the event ahahah. You rock
Love watching the foil. It makes the racing so much more nail biting and excited knowing your favourite rider could crash at any moment also makes the gybes more interesting as its very apparent when someone does a bad gybe how everyone passes.
Congratulations on a good start for day 1 & thanks to Lars for the great footage. I've been trying to watch the event live but the internet lag & video quality is just too bad to watch.
Perfect review of the event so far, both from inside and out of the water, so nice to watch! Great performance from the team, both rider 💪and filmer 👍! Good luck for the next days! Love it 😍😍!
Really, really good report, Nico. I like the concept and the timely fashion. Would be nice to hear a bit more about the competition/rankings/aspirations of the other competitors…
Amazing production Nico & Lars….This is on another level. I think the way skill levels are evolving everyone will be on the foil very soon. I find watching foil racing both exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. Good luck for the rest of 2023
Looks to me you guys are faster through the gybe but because on the foil gybes are less stable you can't be quite as strategic in the turns. Plus more time out of the harness on the foil which must be tiring
Hey Nico - stupid question from Rob in Canada.(yah not Joe blow - lol) Shouldn't somebody on a foil be WAY faster than the non-foils? (as long as you don't fall and sail reasonably) It seems un-fair to race them together. (great video's btw- love them)
Great coverage and great result Nico although don’t really understand why foils and fins aren’t different categories? No doubt this is a big talking point I’m just new to it all :)
Excellent coverage of the racing with the amazing drone footage and commentary. It really makes you feel like you're getting an inside look at the action! I was impressed by how well you do with the foil in these races. It's super windy and rough, but you're doing just fine. It looks like the foil riders have an advantage in the jibes because they don't seem to slow down much at all, whereas you can see that the fin riders definitely slow down. Yet in the straightaways the foils look to be just as fast as the fins, as you said yourself. Is this the future of all windsurf racing? It could be! I was also thinking how difficult it must be to launch and land your foil gear with all that wind, shorebreak, and rocky beach to deal with. I don't know how you do it!
Hey Nico, great recap!!! But mist say, fin and foil do not belong together in a race, it’s like a F1 car racing against a DTM car. But i do understand why you chose the foil. Since you guys are making up the rules, perhaps an explanation why you all decided to put fin and foil together in a race….? Maybe in an other recap? Keep up the good work and a big thanks to Lars for making it all come together in the UA-cams💪🏼🤙🏼
Hi Nico, your gybes look very fast when you have a constant arc, but I think you have a tendency to straighten up just before the rig flip and it looks like that's slowing you down. Please forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn or just plain ignorant, I'm only trying to contribute. You are 100 times better than me! Thanks for the great coverage, I'm really enjoying it. Good luck with the rest of the racing, it looks very challenging out there!
I don't know what's more amazing... Nico currently sitting in 3rd spot or Lars putting out this amazing, perfectly edited, 18 min video overnight. 🤣 You guys are an amazing team and these videos with behind-the-scenes are really great!!! Thank you so much for creating these!

You look bloody fast on the foil. Almost as fast as Lars's editing. Love to see it
Bravo Lars. You da man. Amazing video with such a short turn around time. Fantastic results, Nico. The control on the foil in these conditions is next level🙌 Epic. This footage is how we make windsurfing great again😁
Thank you Nico! It’s nice to get daily updates about all the stuff going down🤙🏻
Nico and Lars G8 and such amazi g job!!! Amazing skills on that foil...cant imagine..
Amazing coverage and well done. You are single-handedly doing more for this sport than the PWA 👌🏻👌🏻
Well done with this report! I think we all loved the amazing drone footage that make the races alive. Amazing how difficult it seems to turn harder on the foils, yet the ease and acceleration is evident. 😅
Nice result 🤙, thanks for the update and kudos to Lars for the work and excellent editing 👍

WoW you are bringing such high quality content for a daily summary. Very very pro and nice to watch. Keep going the great work you and your team 😊
Your video coverage is better than the official PWA content, hands down! 👍🏻
Sehr geil, weiter so!!!
Well done to both you and Lars for this nice video!

job well done nico ! also thank you lars for the footage.
Great update!! I think the longer the foils have been around and the more guys are competing with them, they have actually become quite spectacular in racing. I thought I would never say that, but there you go!!
The last race it almost looked like Niko had some sea weed on the foil, the wake was looking funky.
Superb footage of racing and an outstanding result so far Nico. Congradulation, the results show on your face , so much concentration was increadable to see.!! great video and drone coverage ! so intense ! ❤❤❤
Thanks for bringing this to us every day! Great!!
Thanks for bringing the action on cam
Hi Nico congrats on Day 1 slalom results really happy for you and delighted you managed to climb back to the top of the pro tour after a corporate stint. Will be following more races for sure - Lars pretty good job with the footage as usual! Well done to both of you! Best regards Marcin
Congrats!!! Thanks for the great video.
Cool video Nico well done on your results!
Wow, congratulation Nico💥
Foil and fin have to be 2 different categories for me. Nowadays foils are faster than the fin in the majority of the situation
Well done, Nico! Great footage from inside the race and fabulous results. Very consistent. Let's hope they can sort out the course and figure out a better way of launching and landing that gets you all away from that shorebreak. Scary biscuits! 🫣
actually insane🔥I look forward to future reports!
Great summary of the day! Good luck for next one 💫
Glad you archieving your goals, to focus on competition and actually being super competitive. Bravo
And competing and being the best media reporter of the event ahahah. You rock
I really like this video. Daily updates during the event is awesome. I respect the grind Lars
Congratulations Nico and superb footage of the races, thank you.
Awesome video, congrats on your racing result too!
Nice work mate and realy good video 😊
Thanks for the excellent Report. The Official coverage yesterday was pretty poor!
Great work. Really appreciate this report.
Love watching the foil. It makes the racing so much more nail biting and excited knowing your favourite rider could crash at any moment also makes the gybes more interesting as its very apparent when someone does a bad gybe how everyone passes.

Really cool video. Impressively fast upload!
7:18 is a classic. the cut is perfect!
Nice video Nico and beautiful images Lars (better than the live stream) 👍🏻
The foil was clearly the best choice.
Great result Nico - thanks for the video
Great result Nico. Well done
Unbelievable to bring out a video so quickly! And good racing from Nico!

Bravo Nico! Great race, result and video. Regards from Volosko ! …. Go Rico 🇭🇷
Keep up the daily’s!

brilliant guys , great coverage, Good luck for the rest of the competition Nico.
Great video, looking good in the racing podium finish overall Nico
awesome footage!!!!
Neil Pryde Team is so strong this season ... GREAT !
Geiles Format! Schöne Bilder, top editing (Lars:👍), aber das Wichtigste: überragende Platzierung!!! Drücke weiterhin die Daumen

It seems un-fair to race them together.
(great video's btw- love them)
Well done Nico! Keep surfing on foil or fin, whatever you think is the best for racing! And keep sending great, useful videos like this.. 😎 Congrats!
gr8 vid! A pity to see that fin had no chance. But good action anyway.
Great coverage and great result Nico although don’t really understand why foils and fins aren’t different categories? No doubt this is a big talking point I’m just new to it all :)
Nice content Nico, wanna see more 🤙
great footage!
Great video. Glad I found your channel.
These shots are insane. Great work from Lars and great racing.
Great report. Amazing results in this conditions. Well done team Nico with this short cutting & editing time.
