He has said at different times that he doesn't think of himself as a very good drummer; whether he was being truthful or facetious, I don't know, but I have always thought he was an excellent drummer. (and still is)
FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS NICK , GRACIAS POR TODOS TUS APORTES A LA MEJOR BANDA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS. MUY FELICES 80 AÑOS. SALUDOS DESDE ROSARIO, ARGENTINA, GUSTAV ❤
Nick Mason is so underrated and underappreciated in drum world... Unfair as he was a different beast when playing live than in the studio, particularly in Floyd's early period. This and Live at Pompeii are proof of that. As for his own claim of not being a a good drummer, that is more an examplary of his humility than any fact.
In my opinion, Nick is the greatest drummer of all time. The beats, the rythme, everything about is amazing. My most favourite drummer too! Love you Nick!
Finally, The missing element from all those top selling Pink Floyd albums...The Nick Mason drum solo.
